Story
I’ve been postponing this for months now because it’s been very hard for me to imagine. The last few years I’ve been breaking out into full body hives. I recently went to an allergist and results came back that I’m allergic to cats. Unfortunately, it’s affected my health way too much and I’m trying to rehome my long haired cat, Harvey. Harvey is a bundle of joy! This snuggly boy loves to play, will do anything for face rubs and is a purr monster. He can be very timid and anxious but once he adapts to his environment, he is playful and talkative. I am looking for someone who has a consistent schedule and that can give him their full attention. He’s seldom around kids but has lived with one cat since he was a kitten. He’s not attached to my other cat and I think he would prefer to be a single child. He is a high maintenance cat with high anxiety. He is sensitive to touch, like kitty litter, so he is trained to pee and poop on pads.

Story
Jacks a little dopey, sometimes seeming to have no thoughts at all. Will chase a wand until he's panting and find a perch or other spot to lay in. He likes beds that are high up and cat hammocks. Prefers little fuzzy worms on wands over feathers.

Story
Maximillion is a spicy orange cat. He loves to play with a wand toy, fetch balls, chase mice toys, climb (cat) furniture and do tricks for treats. He will give you high fives, beg, and spin for some sweet, sweet treats. He was originally born on a farm and taken from his litter mates too early. So, when he’s amped up, he does not know the meaning of “bite inhibition.” Max is very smart, but does not mix well with dogs nor would he do well with the unpredictability of children. He would likely do well with a properly introduced, playful cat. Otherwise, Max would do well with a family that will play with wand toys multiple times a day, provide lots of mice toys, cat towers, wall furniture and outdoor times. He is experienced with being in a harness on a leash! Bringing Max home is not like bringing a typical cat home. He requires a lot of love, play, and attention. Are you ready to win his heart?

Story
Chloe is a sweet girl about 6-7 years old.  She was a stray a few years ago and a nice lady took her in knowning she had to be a house cat before.  She is a total indoor cat now.  She just wants to sit on your lap and get petted.  She is an easy going cat.  Chloe is fine with other cats we think she will be fine with a dog after some time same goes with kids.   She is spayed and current on rabies. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.April 29, 2025, 12:51 pm

Story
Meet Persephone and Styx! This beautiful, bonded pair of 5-year-old cats has quite the story to tell. Once rescued from a high-kill shelter, these two were adopted out together as kittens, only to find their way back to us when their owner could no longer care for them. After some time with us, they’ve slowly begun to open up, finding comfort with a select group of people here. While they may never be lap cats, Persephone and Styx have shown they’re happiest observing life’s moments from a safe distance. That said, who knows what the future holds for this special duo? We believe that with time, patience, and a quiet, loving home, these two can truly thrive. If you’re the kind of person who understands the beauty of building trust at their pace, Styx and Persephone might just be the perfect pair for you. Are you ready to let them be themselves and build a one-of-a-kind connection? If so, these two are waiting to meet their special someone. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. Styx is bonded to Persephone and they must be adopted together. Please note, that we do NOT allow the declawing of any cat or kitten we adopt unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Story
Playful, shy, and sweet! My name is Naji, I was born on Aug. 27, 2024, at my foster family's house. I'm a very sweet, very handsome, all-gray male, that loves to play and romp around with my foster family and my Mom, Lolo. My other favs: Chasing cat wands or laser pointers! Treats! Wet kitty food! I'd be very happy to share a home with my mom, Lolo, or be the handsome King of the House. l often nap and snuggle with my Mom and would love to do the same with you! I take a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but once I feel safe and loved, I would love to be your very best friend!February 26, 2025, 3:58 pm
