Story
Dexter is a shy tabby cat who prefers observing the world from a safe distance before engaging with it. With his distinctive striped coat and gentle demeanor, Dexter embodies the quieter, more reserved side of feline personality. Unlike more outgoing cats, Dexter approaches life with caution and careful consideration. He's the type to hide when strangers visit, preferring the security of his favorite hiding spots—perhaps under the bed, behind the couch, or in a quiet closet. While shy with newcomers, Dexter shows his affectionate side with trusted family members, often seeking quiet companionship on his own terms. All Stray to Spay cats & kittens are: Fully vaccinated, Spayed/neutered, Dewormed, Triple tested (FeLV, FIV, Heartworm). Adoption includes an application, vet/reference check & virtual home visit. All of our cats are fostered indoors in loving Omaha-area homes until they find their forever family! ##2594820##

Story
Poppy-Female- DOB 06/01/2024 Well who do we have here?? We have a Poppy! A Princess!! A Petite and tiny lady that is Full of 'Cat-it-tude' and 'Tort-it-tude'!!! Poppy is a dreamy, cuddly, sweet, and beautiful fluff muffin, however we do have a few things to do a chat about..... Poppy LOVES HUMANS!!!!!! Little humans, Medium humans, Big humans. Poppy is happy with all humans!!!!! However Poppy will NOT be thrilled to live amongst other cats though....... after all, she is A Princess! Poppy is such an amazing cat, however she spent her early months of life on the streets and has had a few "street cat" behaviors follow her into her young adulthood. Food, water, and shelter can be hard to come by for a street cat. Poppy will do best as a single cat so she knows that she will always be safe, warm, and fed. Poppy has been doing incredible at her foster home. She has her basic needs easily met and is purrrrrrrfect. Another situation that naturally occurs amongst animals that are in an environment where a hierarchy (or 'pecking order') is displayed... is the freedom to alleviate themselves appropriately. AKA- Go potty where they prefer to go potty. Now, while we can only assume what Poppy endured during her life as a street cat, we are assuming that because of her tiny stature, gender, and desire to be friendly to humans, she was more than likely bullied far more than other cats. Because of this, Poppy has a condition called Feline Idiopathic Cystitis (FIC) otherwise known as Sterlie Cystitis. When Poppy is stressed, or if she doesn't have her preferred litter box style to urinate in, her bladder becomes inflammed and she starts to urinate blood. This is not a UTI (urinary tract infection), it is just the way her little body reacts to a potentially stressful scenario. And rounds of antibiotics do not help solve it. What DOES help is a tiny little pill called Amitriptyline. She is NOT on a prescription urinary diet, she has just been on this medication since the beginning of April and has not had any accidents or issues since the middle of April. She is actually tapering off to the lowest possible dose at 1/2 tablet every other day now!!!!!!!!!! We are so thankful that we found a solution to help Poppy!!!! FIC is not only frustrating for the humans involved, it is also very painful for the cat! But now we are solving the problem and excited to help find Poppy the purrrfect home that will be able to cater to her needs the way she deserves. **Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our animals! Story
Scarlett - Female - DOB- 7/1/2023 Meet Scarlett Scarlett is a lovable little weirdo who adores people, cats, and dogs — she just has a very unique way of showing it. Her love language? A dramatic "hiss hiss hiss"... followed by rubbing all over you like her long-lost best friend. Once she's said her awkward hello, she's all sweetness and snuggles. If you appreciate a cat with character, Scarlett will keep you smiling every day. **Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our animals! Story
Cactus is a very distinguished gentleman with stories to tell. He has hung up his life as a stray and is ready to settle down on a warm cozy lap and accept love from a family. He is down for cuddles, scritches and playtime, with his favorite toy being string toys. Cactus is FIV+ with no symptoms. This gentleman is not concerned with his FIV status, as he makes the most of each day. Please speak with your vet for up to date information on FIV. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.   Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.  We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday!! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days.  Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day!  ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them.  Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission  ##2605085##

Story
Striking green eyed sweetheart! Due to no fault of his own, this sweet boy found his way into one of our traps during a TNR session. It wasn’t until after he went in with the group that we realized he was a super sweet and friendly guy with lots of love to give! He was microchipped and his previous owner was contacted, but haven’t received a response. Of course, I told him, “I got you from here buddy.” He has been safe, warm and loved on since.Meet Jett. A love-wealthy, newly single bachelor that’s ready to mingle. He may have lost half an ear, but that doesn’t take away from his charming features and striking green eyes, that with every long gaze, seem to reach directly into your soul.Jett gets along with other cats as long as he can be introduced slowly. It really depends on the other cat’s temperament in this situation. He hasn’t been around dogs in foster care. November 2, 2025, 9:50 pm

Story
Loves to play My name is Mr. Puff. I also go by Puffer, Puff, or Puffy. If I’m not lounging around in a spot I’ve claimed as my own, you will find me playing with toys, or carving messages into a scratching post. If you can catch me, I’ll let you love on me for a little while, but then I’m back to playing. While in foster care I have been around other cats/kittens and a small dog.   Contact SOLAS today to adopt me! November 3, 2025, 8:50 pm
