My husband is in the military and unfortunately we can’t bring Blackie with us and we hope he will find a warm and loving home.

Allie is the sweetest girl. A little shy at first, give her time to know you and you will find the best lap cat you have seen in a while.  The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Town and Country Animal Rescue Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary. We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday!! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. You aren't seeing things, our little Pumpkin has heterochromia, or two different colored eyes. Her one blue eye and one green eye work together to judge those of us at the shelter. She thinks she needs all the treats, but we keep telling her once a day is plenty. This big girl needs a better exercise routing than moving from food dish to food dish. She loves her pets, we need to find out what else she is a fan of. Maybe we can coax her onto the exercise wheel! She loves watching her humans go about their day and will occasionally allow gentle pets once she’s decided you’re worthy. If you’re quick enough to catch her, she’ll tolerate being picked up for short cuddle sessions—on her terms, of course. Truffle gets along beautifully with other kittens and cats and would thrive with a confident feline friend to show her the ropes. She’s also been around a small (12 lb) Yorkie mix in foster care and handled it like a champ. Toys are a big hit, and she never says no to wet food or crunchy treats. Rescued from a window well in Glenwood, Truffle has already shown how resilient she is. With patience, love, and maybe a few treats, she’ll continue to blossom into a wonderful companion for the right home—especially one that appreciates a gentle, independent soul.
