Cactus is a very distinguished gentleman with stories to tell. He has hung up his life as a stray and is ready to settle down on a warm cozy lap and accept love from a family. He is down for cuddles, scritches and playtime, with his favorite toy being string toys. Cactus is FIV+ with no symptoms. This gentleman is not concerned with his FIV status, as he makes the most of each day. Please speak with your vet for up to date information on FIV. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.   Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.  We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday!! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days.  Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. Dexter is a shy tabby cat who prefers observing the world from a safe distance before engaging with it. With his distinctive striped coat and gentle demeanor, Dexter embodies the quieter, more reserved side of feline personality. Unlike more outgoing cats, Dexter approaches life with caution and careful consideration. He's the type to hide when strangers visit, preferring the security of his favorite hiding spots—perhaps under the bed, behind the couch, or in a quiet closet. While shy with newcomers, Dexter shows his affectionate side with trusted family members, often seeking quiet companionship on his own terms. All Stray to Spay cats & kittens are: Fully vaccinated, Spayed/neutered, Dewormed, Triple tested (FeLV, FIV, Heartworm). Adoption includes an application, vet/reference check & virtual home visit.
