Striking green eyed sweetheart! Due to no fault of his own, this sweet boy found his way into one of our traps during a TNR session. It wasn’t until after he went in with the group that we realized he was a super sweet and friendly guy with lots of love to give! He was microchipped and his previous owner was contacted, but haven’t received a response. Of course, I told him, “I got you from here buddy.” He has been safe, warm and loved on since.Meet Jett. A love-wealthy, newly single bachelor that’s ready to mingle. He may have lost half an ear, but that doesn’t take away from his charming features and striking green eyes, that with every long gaze, seem to reach directly into your soul.Jett gets along with other cats as long as he can be introduced slowly. This sweet baby (born 8/5/25) is Cricket.  She is a Piebald Tabby kitten.  Cricket will be available to go to her furever home 10/1/25.  We encourage you to apply now so we can start the adoption process.   The suggested adoption donation for Cricket is $125 and $25 off a second kitten, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.   Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost. If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, the adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice. If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.
