Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.BOSC hails from the Wunninum Lake area in Northern Canada and he headed south with his mum, Pear and brother, Anjou to find his forever home. He’s vaccinated, microchipped, had 2 doses of dewormer and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. This fun loving. adventurous boy is just a delight to foster. He’s curious to the point that nothings out of bounds for him to check out. He loves to be loved and will snuggle up with you and turn into a purring machine. He has the nickname “Scarf” as he loves nothing more than to lay across your neck and after a purring session, just fall asleep.  BOSC is litter box trained and has been since day one of coming into rescue. He loves to play with all the cat toys and especially the ones that can be dangled in front of him. He loves to be in the cat tree and watch the birds and squirrels out the window. He loves to play with his brother and they spend a lot of their day chasing one and other. He would suit being with another cat but will do equally as well as an only child. BOSC has been around dogs and puppies and would suit a home with either especially if they’re cat savvy and a slow, monitored introduction is done. He requires children in the home to be aged 6 and up plus be loving, caring and gentle towards animals. His neuter is included with the adoption fee and will be performed when he’s 4 months of age at the Barrie SPCA. It will also be booked before he leaves the rescue and his adopter must be in agreement with his neuter being at 4 months of age as part of his adoption agreement.  If you would like to meet this little character named BOSC then please put in an adoption application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 1, 2024, 3:16 am

Story
Hi, my name is Tulip, Female - spayedDomestic Short HairApprox. 11 years old I embody the grace and quietude of a true lady. I may not be your average frolicsome feline; I treasure my solitude and prefer basking in peaceful corners, though I cherish my independence I do have a sweet spot for affection on my own terms. Searching for a companion who respects your space yet offers moments of tender connection, I might just be the mature savvy senior you've been searching for! My reactions to:Cats & Dogs - I can be selective with my furry friends, for the time being I'd prefer to be the only queen of the castleMeeting New People - I can be cautious and timid when meeting new people, allow me to warm up on my own terms and we'll soon be friends Children - As I prefer to live a mature relaxed lifestyle, I wouldn't mind the company of an older calm child. Litterbox - As a savvy senior I have lots of experience using my litterbox, you don't have to worry about me! Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 4.059 Age: 11yrs 6mths 2wks

Story
Hi, my name is Simon,Male - neuteredDomestic Short HairApprox. 3 years old** Special Needs ** Simon is a sweet, approximately 3 year old male neutered domestic short hair cat under the care of Georgina Animal Shelter. Simon has been undergoing medical treatment through Yorkwood Veterinary Clinic for ongoing hind end weakness to the point where sometimes his hind legs will be giving out on him. Through examination his front limbs do appear strong and coordinated. Simon has received treatment for a inner ear infection along with a course of anti-inflammatory medication to help with the neurological behaviours. However, the shelter has reported no changes with the treatment prescribed. There are a variety of neurologic conditions which can cause gait abnormalities including encephalopathies, myelitis, and so on. It is also possible that a previous musculoskeletal injury is causing the symptoms. Throughout his stay at the shelter, despite his abnormalities, Simon is a bright and happy guy who still has a ton of energy . It is recommended that Simon be referred to a neurologist who can further assess his condition and determine the best form of treatment moving forward. Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.073 Age: 3yrs 3mths 0wks
