Story
Milly arrived in Canada recently after being found as a stray in Mexico at 12 weeks old. Now 5 months old, Milly is shy around new people but warms up as she gets more comfortable. She loves to cuddle and fall asleep on those she trusts. She is very playful and can entertain herself. In her foster home in Mexico, Milly got along with the family dogs and enjoyed hanging out with their cat.She is currently being fostered with Tigre (who is also available) and they both really enjoy to play and cuddle up with each other when napping. Milly is currently being fostered in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).If you would like to meet Milly or are interested in adopting her, please fill out an application at https://pawsaboverescue.ca/cat-adoption/  Please visit our website www.pawsaboverescue.ca to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Tigre is a very sweet and loving tripawd. When you hold him or pet him, he purrs up a storm and shows his affection to you with his tiny little head butts. He is also very vocal and will use his voice to let you know he needs something, whether that is attention, he wants to play or he is hungry. He will ensure you hear him. He can play independently but also loves the companion of another playful kitten. He is currently being fostered with Milly (who is also available) and they both really enjoy playing and cuddling up with each other when napping. Story
DOB: 2014 Meet Elsa – a little lovebug extraordinaire! Elsa came into our care when her owners could no longer care for her, and she is now looking for another family to love. She has a gorgeous coat of white fur and beautiful light-green eyes.   Her foster mother describes her affectionate personality: “Elsa wants to be on top of you all the time! She will beg for you to let her into your lap by tapping your lap a few times with her paw. Elsa loves getting your 100% attention and delights in snuggles. If you're not petting her, she will wrap herself around your legs until you do.” Elsa is a youthful 10-year-old and will leap after toys with the enthusiasm and agility of a kitten. She is definitely a foodie and is always uber enthusiastic about mealtime and treats.  Elsa also has excellent manners and  will politely headbutt your hand as thanks before eating the treat from your hand. Elsa is in good health other than she will require daily medication for hyperthyroidism. The prognosis for cats with hyperthyroidism is good as most cats respond well to medication. She likes to do stretch-and-scratch exercises, so she will need to have a good scratching post. She does startle easily, so she'd probably be best in a quiet household. If you are looking for an affectionate cat companion, Elsa is the ideal cat for you. She is in a home with another cat but has not been exposed to dogs.   Adoption applications are available at http://www.forgottenones.ca/adoptions/. Please email the completed form to contact@forgottenones.ca. Adoption fees are $175.00 for adult cats (one year and older), $225.00 for kittens, and $125.00 for senior cats (10+ years old). The fee includes: veterinary health check, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, testing for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinations, flea and ear mite treatments NOTE: Young kittens may not have had their spay/neuter surgery and final vaccinations at the time of their bio posting, but they are included in the adoption fee.  April 14, 2024, 5:43 pm

Story
River came to us with his Mom and siblings March 14, 2023 from a small rescue that was overwhelmed. This little family went to a foster home to allow the best outcome possible for them. River is a sweet cuddly kitten, playful and adventurous. He loves his treats and wet food. He is very social.River developed a condition called FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). This condition creates fluid in the abdomen and is fatal to cats. Luckily River was enrolled in the FIP study program and went through 84 days receiving daily GS pills and then 90 days receiving Mefloquine pills. We are thrilled to say that River survived his FIP diagnosis and is now a "FIP Survivor". The FIP treatment cost approximately $3,000.00. While River is cured now, he may or may not relapse but he is doing great so far. It is for this reason that we require a very strong vet relationship with a healthy cushion for vet related expenses. For more information about River and his success story, please contact the shelter at 519 833 2287 or by email at info@uppercredit.com.

Story
Meet Betty Boop, this social butterfly will greet you at the door. She’s very curious and can adapt to any new environment quickly. She doesn’t like to be over stimulated and this can cause her to nip alittle bit. Small children is not ideal and she doesn’t mind being around small and calm dogs. Besides this, Betty Boop is very sweet and will demand pets on her own terms.
