Story
DOB: 05-23-2019 Poppyseed is like a hidden gem—her affectionate nature won’t be evident immediately, but, with time, you will discover she has a loving personality that is truly precious. Poppyseed has been through a number of stressful transitions in her life: homelessness, being in a municipal animal control centre, and then in temporary foster homes. The changes have been difficult and unsettling for her, and she will need time and patience to feel safe and comfortable in her new home. Once Poppyseed has earned your trust, you will be rewarded with the most delightful cat companion. Her current foster family has provided a comforting environment for Poppyseed and describes her endearing personality: “Poppyseed is an extremely sweet little friend that makes her affection towards you well known. She gets excited when you wake up, will meow at you, and settle onto her rightful place on your chest. Sometimes, she'll rub her head on your face and give you a face full of fur! She likes to give kisses followed by a few nibbles.  “Poppyseed is a highly confident cat that enjoys human company and knows no strangers. She will see someone new and happily go to check out if their lap is a good place to sit. She is not overly demanding and is also comfortable spending time alone. “Poppyseed loves to sleep draped across your lap like a scarf or just comfortably lounging on you. She'll occasionally tilt her head back to look at you with her big yellow eyes. She loves to be in close contact with her people.” Poppyseed's ideal family will be experienced cat owners that will be mindful of her quirks and allow her to set the pace of the interactions until she is comfortable.  A bit of understanding and patience will lay the foundation for a strong and trusting bond. Adoption applications are available at http://www.forgottenones.ca/adoptions/. Please email the completed form to contact@forgottenones.ca. Adoption fees are $250.00 for adult cats (one year and older), $300.00 for kittens, and $175.00 for senior cats (10+ years old). The fee includes: veterinary health check, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, testing for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinations, flea and ear mite treatments NOTE: Young kittens may not have had their spay/neuter surgery and final vaccinations at the time of their bio posting, but they are included in the adoption fee.  September 16, 2025, 1:40 pm

Story
Introducing Oscar!   Male   DOB: Est May 18,2025 Meet Oscar, a resilient little soul whose journey began outside, bravely searching for scraps of food as a tiny, vulnerable kitten. When he was first found, Oscar was noticeably underweight—his struggle evident in his earnest eyes. Originally intended for TNR, fate intervened and, within hours, Oscar was welcomed into the safety of foster care. That twist of luck gave him a chance to thrive, instead of returning to the uncertainty of outdoor life. Oscar is a striking medium-haired orange tabby, his chest adorned with a charming white patch. His long white whiskers and captivating amber eyes hint at his gentle spirit. Though still learning to trust, Oscar’s curiosity shines through—he’ll seek you out for affection if you approach him gently and let him get to know you. Touch means so much to him now, and his loud, joyful purrs reveal just how much he appreciates every kind moment. While he’s still adjusting to indoor life, sometimes startled by sudden noises or activity, his progress is truly inspiring. Oscar is mastering the art of cuddles and beginning to enjoy curling up for lap time. When surrounded by other kittens, Oscar’s playful energy takes center stage. He leaps and bounds after his favorite feather toy, soaking up every joyful moment. Watching him play, you see not just a kitten— but a heart ready to trust, love, and be loved. Oscar would flourish in a calm, caring home—somewhere peaceful, without too much bustle, where he can continue to blossom. To nurture his spirit, Oscar needs to be adopted with another kitten companion or welcomed into a family that already has a friendly young cat (ideally aged one to three years) with whom he can bond. If your heart is open and you’re ready to give Oscar the loving home he so deeply deserves, please complete an online adoption application and reach out to us. Your kindness could mean the world to a kitten who’s ready to leave his hardships behind and embrace the joy of a true forever family. November 16, 2025, 6:47 pm

Story
DOB: June 2025Meet Maestro: Melting everyone’s hearts and making them laugh is Maestro, the purr-fect blend of silly, sweet and snuggly. Now meow-velous Maestro hopes to share the rest of his life roughhousing with Salem in a loving fur-ever home. Story
DOB: June 2019Meet Gerti:    Gerti puts the “g” into gregarious. This flirty former kitten mama greets everyone with an ecstatic meow, posturing prettily until she receives the loving she adores. Extremely agile and athletic and exceling at playtime, this darling diva prefers to have love’s limelight shine solely on her. For this reason, Gerti should be the only cat in an adult-only home where she’s the sole focus of their fur-ever adoration.  If this is your home, click on Adopt. Story
DOB: May 2023Meet Raven:  Aptly named for her ravishing black coat, Raven can be a spunky puss! Although she’s not yet fond of being picked up, she’s particularly fond of frisking about with her many feline friends. But she’s fonder still of lying with Ronaldo on the warmest ledge around and soaking up the sun’s golden rays. Next on Raven’s list: a warm and loving home with room enough for Ronaldo or one with a confident kitty already there.   If this is your home, click on Adopt.
