Story
To adopt me please fill out the online application at: https://cocoakitties.org/adoption-application Cocoa Kitties rescues cats off the streets of Hershey and surrounding towns. We are a 501(c)(3) organization that is funded 100% by donations. We do not operate a shelter but keep our kitties in foster homes. We rely on foster families who open their homes to care for the kitties we rescue. We ask that you complete an application before we send you into the homes of our volunteers. Also please keep in mind that applications are always being processed so we cannot guarantee the availability of a kitty until your application is approved. We operate on a first approved basis. We work very hard to process applications in a timely manner but rely on your references, veterinarian, and landlord to respond so please let them know we will be contacting them. ~You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt. ~Your current pets need to be up to date on vaccinations and preventatives and they need to be altered. ~ If you are adopting a kitten and have no other pets at home please consider adopting two. Kittens thrive in pairs. Kittens: $125 Cats: $100 Before they go home our kitties are: · Vaccinated age appropriately (Rabies and FVRCP) · Treated for internal and external parasites* · Tested for FELV/FIV · Microchipped · Spayed/Neutered (for kittens that is around 12 weeks of age) · Started on flea prevention *Parasites are common in kittens and cats and may take time to treat completely. We cannot guarantee that your cat or kitten will be completely worm/parasite free at adoption. We do not declaw our kitties and do not allow adopters to declaw them. We require our kitties to live indoor lives. Lifetime Commitment: Please remember a kitty requires a 100% committed family for the kitty's entire lifetime which is some cases can be more than 20 years. Talk this through completely with your family and make sure everyone is onboard before completing this application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!April 15, 2024, 12:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.IMPORTANT NOTE:  This pet is NOT part of the Castaway Critters program but is listed as a courtesy to the owner.  Please do not complete an on-line application listing this pet as your selection. AJ AJ is around four years old. Two years ago he showed up as a stray at my farm. I trapped him, got him to the vet to be neutered and he tested positive for FIV. Having other cats, I decided not to release him, but gave him an outdoor enclosure. Since then he has become one of my favorite boys, but being a rescue, and in the process of relocating, I can’t give him all the attention he deserves! He loves to be held, and he loves belly rubs. He would do well with other cats as long as they get along, a female would be best. He’s a little leery of men, so I think he would do best with a female owner. He is up-to-date on vaccines, micro chipped, and recently had a dental. I am looking for a special person for him. He truly is a love!If you are interested in adopting him, please contact Diane at 516-351-7594. He is located in East Berlin, PA. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Tricia (tevans610@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Miss Fluffy Tail - Vocal SnugglebugMiss Fluffy Tail loves to be on/near her humans. She enjoys and actually demands to be picked up/held. Activity level is normal for a cat her age with her favorite toys being anything with a bell or the laser pointer. MissFT is quickly realizing her position of power in the household. Food not being delivered at her specified time, she'll let you know. Come home from work and didn't immediately pick her up to tell her about your day, expect a stern talking to. But this vocal cat makes up for her demanding demenor by cutely snuggling on your lap or on your chest.  Miss Fluffy Tail knows her worth and expects to be treated as such. She would do best in a home where people or other animals would give her a good amount of attention in a day.  MissFT has no issues eating or using the litter box. She is good with other cats and does not have any experience with dogs. Apply for her at www.castawaycritters.org/adoptVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 10:23 am

Story
Birthday: May 2022 Have you ever witnessed a exhausted woman standing in the middle of her house in robes while a bunch of her children are running around like maniacs in the house?  Well, we have the cat version of that!  However, Lindsey was a helicopter parent by definition!  This gentle girl became a mother at a young age and raised two little ones by herself!  Her daughter was a rascal, but she couldn't have asked for anything less!  However, soon after they were put up for adoption, Lindsey's litter were taken to their new homes, leaving this little lady by herself.  Now, she wants to find a forever home for herself!  With a regal beauty like her, it's hard to take your eyes off of her!  She's a quiet, shy girl, but she seems to have a weak spot for other kitties!  Perhaps she longs for a family to care for since it gave her such pride when she was raising her own litter.  We know she is capable of affection after witnessing it firsthand with her kids.  She seems to want to try and be a lovebug with humans since they helped her and her family!  We think we know how you can do it too!  This girl cannot resist a good ear scratch or head rub, so they might be your ticket to winning this girl's heart! Lindsey's adoption donation is $175 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.  If you would like more information on Lindsey, please contact Lynn at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplicationonline.html Please note:  LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed.  All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets.If you are interested in adopting this kitty, please fill out the online application at https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplication.html April 25, 2024, 12:14 pm
