Sweet, gentle, and peaceful, she is a true little treasure waiting for the right person to help her shy love blossom. Sheba was born with three siblings to a community cat who had not yet been spayed. Sadly, shortly after the kittens were born, their caregiver passed away. Fortunately, a loving foster mom stepped in and welcomed all four kittens into her home. Their mother was spayed and placed with a rescue, and Sheba’s siblings have since found their forever homes. Now, it’s Sheba’s turn. Sheba is a sweet but shy girl who prefers to take life at her own pace. She doesn’t push herself to the front of the crowd; instead, she is perfectly content to observe quietly from a cozy spot of her own—especially the top of a cat tree, where she can gaze out the window and watch the world go by. Once Sheba feels comfortable, her playful personality shines through. She enjoys romping with her favorite cat toys, and when she hears you call her, she will come right to you. She loves being petted and may happily settle beside you or on your lap when she is ready for affection. One of Sheba’s most endearing quirks is that she does not enjoy being picked up. She prefers to keep her paws on the ground and make the choice to approach you herself. When she wants attention, she will come to you—and those gentle, self-chosen moments of affection are especially rewarding. She is the kind of cat whose trust grows slowly but beautifully with patience, kindness, and understanding. Sheba gets along well with the cats and dog in her foster home, although she has not yet been around children. Her ideal adopter will appreciate her quiet nature, respect her boundaries, and enjoy watching her confidence grow over time. In return, Sheba promises to be a peaceful companion who brings cozy comfort, gentle affection, and quiet companionship into her new home. Sheba is spayed, microchipped, combo-tested negative, and up to date on her vaccinations, which have been current for the past three years. She is ready to find her forever home.
