Story
This gorgeous kitty is Willow and she's hoping to find a wonderful home with a dedicated, patient person, and where there are other kitties to play with. She would also do well in a home with her sister, Buffy, although they can go to different homes if the right family can't be found for both of them. Willow & Buffy were originally found as feral kittens living all alone in the woods. They were taken in by a caring, young man who wanted to give them a good life. He gave them a great home but wasn't familiar with how to socialize feral kitties, so they didn't get much physical interaction while they were growing. They came into our care when they were about 7-8 months old, and while they have made great strides, they still have a ways to go before they are social. Despite the chronic 'stink face' that Willow likes to sport, she is the more social of the two. She's really close to bonding with someone. She just needs to find the right person to help her. Willow is funny, and chatty, and interactive. She is very happy to sit near you, or on a nearby spot from which she can watch you, but she's not ready to cuddle yet. Willow has the potential to be a really great companion once she's gets comfortable. They two keys to Willow's heart are play and food. She is very playful and just loves to chase toys like balls and springs. She also really loves to chase her string toys (Da Bird is her fav) around and will often grab the toys and play keep away with the other cats. She also really loves food and will do almost anything for it. In fact, sometimes when it comes to high-value food and treats, she can be a bit grabby. If Willow is eating, she will begrudgingly allow pets. It's not her favourite thing, but she will put up with affection in order to get food. The combo of food and play will be the key to bonding with this girl. In fact, Willow enjoys food so much that it will be important for her to be meal-fed (not free-fed) and perhaps away from other pets in the home so that she doesn't hoover her food. Willow gets along really well with the other cats in her foster home and very quickly makes friends with anyone new. It will be important for her to have other cats in her home to help her settle in and to play with her. She gets along very well with her sister, Buffy (see photos), and would be happy to be adopted into the same home. For more info on Buffy, please see her separate bio. Story
Introducing Twiggy! This fluffy kitty with the big green eyes and beauty mark is a gem of a cat. She originally came to us after being left behind when her family moved away, but we can't imagine why anyone would abandon this girl. She is a very loving, affectionate cat who just wants all of the attention all of the time. Twiggy comes running to greet you at the door as soon as she hears your footsteps and she immediately rubs up against you. She isn't afraid of strangers and is happy to get affection from anyone willing to give it. She was even friendly with everyone at the vet office, and we were told that when she went to get spayed, she spent the whole day making biscuits! If you are looking for a confident kitty that will follow you around like a little dog, Twiggy might just be your girl. Twiggy is extremely affectionate and very food motivated. If you’re not careful she will trip you trying to get some love or extra treats (due to this she wont be the the right cat for someone with mobility issues. Twiggy can be independent, but truly wants all the human love she can get her little bread making mitts on… she loves to make biscuits and purrs constantly. Twiggy loves to play and chase balls and spring toys, she is also very partial to her tunnel! Although this beautiful girls adores human company, Twiggy doesn’t seem to be a fan of other animals. Perhaps it's jealousy because she wants all of the attention to herself, but she has thwarted every attempt that the other cats in her foster home have made at making friends. Since Twiggy loves attention, she would do best in a home with someone who is around much of the day, but she might be a 'bit much' for those who work from home because she will want to be involved in everything. Perhaps a newly retired person, a family with a stay at home parent, or someone who spends a lot of time at home would be ideal for her. Although we haven't seen her around kids, we suspect that Twiggy will most likely do well in a home with older, respectful children. If you're interested in Twiggy, please visit https://victoriapets.ca/adoption-process/ to learn more about our adoption process, and to find a copy of our online application. Please note that Twiggy is being fostered in Cobble Hill so interested parties will need to travel there for her meet and greet.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit cat and dog rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of cats and dogs from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption to match them to their purrfect family by having them in foster homes so that we can assess their behaviors, how they decompress in a home, and find out more about their unique personalities. We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through. Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5-year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $25 surcharge Follow along on our rescue journeys via the links below: 3LP Kitties Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ThreeLittlePittiesRescueSavingKitties/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ 3LP Main Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue
