Story
Hi, my name is Tara and I'm 5 years old.  Me and my litter mate Toby were rescued by Bond County Humane Society from Bond County Animal Control when we were 14 weeks old.  I am sociable, but quiet and laid back compared to my litter mate.  I like to lay on a perch and watch everyone. I can be coaxed to play, but I'm content to be a bystander.  I am shy about being held and petted. Sometimes I like interacting with younger people better than with adults.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped. My adoption fee is waived.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.    A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds or returns is available upon request. May 10, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Topaz and I am about 9 years old.  Me and my 2 litter mates were strays found in the window well of a house during a rain storm when we were about 8 weeks old.  The homeowner did not want us to drown and brought us to BCHS.  I have never been very sociable or outgoing as a kitten.  I usually hide when people enter the room.  I still am very shy and timid.  I need a person who will be patient with me and give me as much time as I need to acclimate to a new environment. Sometimes I prefer interacting with younger people instead of adults. I get along with all the cats I live with in a community room at the shelter.  I am available for immediate adoption.  My adoption fee is waived.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me please complete an adoption profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds or returns is available upon request. May 10, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Safari and I'm about 3 years old.  I was a stray and was rescued by a BCHS volunteer, and brought to Bond County Humane Society to find a loving permanent home. I am friendly and playful.  I love to explore and look in all the nooks and crannies around the shelter. Sometimes I sit on the office desk and greet the visitors. I am considered Special Needs because when I was tested for FeLV/FIV, I tested negative for FeLV, but positive for FIV. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care. It is extremely important for me to stay healthy. When there are other FIV positive cats in my room,  I get along well with them. I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is by donation.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Jaguar and I'm about 21 months old.  I was surrendered to Bond County Humane Society by a man who said I just showed up in his yard.  I am friendly and super playful.  The best way to describe me is rambunctious.  I like to be on the go playing and exploring.  I need a family that likes active cats and has enrichment toys, cat trees or anything that will keep me active.  I do have a tendency to form crystals in my urine so I am on a special diet that will reduce the chance of crystals. Story
Hi, my name is Max and I'm about 14 months old. My sister and I were surrendered to Bond County Humane Society by a lady who had too many cats, so we can find loving fur-ever homes.  I especially like toys with sparkles. I like to be picked up and petted after I get to know you. I enjoy playing with the other cats and kittens in my room. I love climbing on the cat trees. I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped. My adoption fee is $65. Story
Hi, my name is Tiger and I'm about 12 1/2 months old. I was found with my mother and sister behind a barn at a farm and brought to Bond County Humane Society so we could find loving fur-ever homes. We have been living in a foster home. My foster dad says I am friendly,  playful and quiet when I get to know you, but I am really shy with new people and new places. I won't bother you for anything! I am still learning to play with people, so I can get a little rough. I should not live with any small children. I'm kind of an arms-length, hang out with ya type. I like to nap nearby. I like to be picked up and petted, for a few minutes at a time; then I start purring really loud. Five or 10 minutes later I'm ready to try that again. I get kinda nervous sitting in your lap, but we're working on that. I love "Irresistables" cat treats; if you need to bribe me, these will do it...rattle that bag and I'm on it! I love to run and chase or wrestle with my sister Meg or foster brothers. I also love to climb on cat trees.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $65. If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.May 10, 2024, 3:49 pm
