Story
Ellie was a shelter kitty, adopted in 2020. She is now 6 years old. She is chunky, sassy, and affectionate. Ellie loves to play, watch birds in her hammock and gets zoomies sporadically. Ellie is also front de-clawed, so she must be strictly indoors at all times. Ellie is currently on prescribed medicine and food by the vet for anxiety and IBS. We are updating her posting because we can attest her medical issues are currently being managed with these tools but she has to be kept separate from one of our other animals due to behavioral marking because the other pet is stressing her out. She never had the issues before this new pet and does not have the issues now that they are separated, but long term that is difficult for us to manage. We feel that we owe it to Ellie to try and find a low-stress forever home with either no other pets or very laid back pets would be a better environment. Please help us find Ellie a good home.

Story
ADOPTION PENDING....Katie – the quiet quirky kitty that never makes a fuss. Katie was born September 6, 2022, and is fully vetted, spayed, and front-declawed. She came to us from a hoarding situation and, well… she never quite got the memo about how to “cat” like the others. Katie is a bit of an enigma. She’s got perfect litter box manners, a soft spot for wet food (you’ll see her magically appear when she hears a can open), and a little squeaky voice that’s as funny as it is endearing. Most of the time, she’s invisible — quite literally — as she hides away in a kitchen corner cabinet she’s figured out how to open herself. She does run about at times but doesn't really like the other cats trying to play with her. She is gentle, tolerates being brushed, and has no issues with other cats, though I think she’d truly shine in a quieter home with no more than one other pet — or even better, as the queen of her own quiet kingdom. We are looking for a client who has a good history of cat ownership. Katie would be adopted out on a trial basis, and she is always welcome back home with me if it doesn’t work out. I already have 11 cats and 2 dogs, and while we’re one big happy zoo, I’d love for Katie to have a chance at a place where she can be truly seen and appreciated. She needs a home where she can get all the attention. If you think you might be the person who sees the beauty in her quirks and has the patience to let her warm up at her own pace, please contact Grace at rescue@fuse.net Thanks for considering giving this strange and wonderful girl a chance.

Story
Taylor was hit by a car as a very young kitten and lost his leg, but he doesn’t let that hold him back! He runs, jumps, climbs and plays like any other cat, and even uses his missing leg to his advantage as he skids around corners.   Taylor is great with dogs of all sizes.  He is extremely friendly with people     He’d love to have another playful cat (one who enjoys a bit of pouncing and rough and tumble play) in his forever home    *Taylor is neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, vaccinated and micro chipped. * Male - 4 years old * The amputation does not cause him to have any special needs  *  He has been diagnosed with crystals in his urine and needs to be on prescription food for the rest of his life (Purina UR).  The prescription food (approximately $90 per month) is needed to prevent a urinary blockage. * Adopters must live within 100 miles of Florence, KY * Our adoption application can be found on our website, www.pawprintsnky.comOctober 12, 2024, 12:11 pm

Story
Meet Coco, a stunning 1-year-old cat who is a true survivor! Found as a stray, she bravely battled and fully recovered from Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). After completing her treatment, she is now a completely healthy and vibrant adult cat with a clean bill of health!   Now that she's healthy, all Coco wants is a human to love. She is the perfect blend of playful energy and a dedicated snuggler. While she may be quite shy at first, once she warms up, she is a certified Velcro cat. Settle down on the couch or in bed, and she will immediately be in your lap or tucked right next to you, purring you to sleep!   Coco's Ideal Home: Coco is a social girl who thrives with company. She would be happiest in a home with: A friendly dog (she gets along great with canines!) Another cat (with slow introductions) A dedicated human who has plenty of time for daily play and cuddles. Adopting Coco means gaining a loyal friend, a gentle soul, and the sweetest snuggle-bug. If you are ready to welcome a resilient and loving companion into your home, please submit an adoption application on www.pawprintsnky.com, under Adopt, to meet beautiful Coco.  Meet and greets are scheduled with an approved application. October 20, 2025, 9:42 am

Story
This is Penelope, my sweet 6-year-old girl who has been with me since she was a kitten. She is incredibly gentle, shy by nature, and truly thrives in a calm, peaceful environment. When things are quiet, she becomes the most loving little companion. She would do best in a single person or very quiet household, with someone who understands that she needs time and patience to feel safe. Once she trusts you, she is pure love. Penelope gets along with some cats but tends to hide her face when she feels overwhelmed, so a calm home without a lot of commotion would be ideal. If you love reading, relaxing, or simply want a gentle soul to share your space, Penelope could be the perfect companion for you. She deserves someone who will appreciate her sweetness and give her the peaceful home she needs. Please reach out if you would like to learn more about her or think you might be the right match.

Story
My solid gray coat is just gorgeous. I select the toy/s I want from the kitty toy box. Foster mom says now if she could just teach me how to put them back in their box! My Olympic feat is my jumping ability. I can jump very high to almost 4 feet straight up! Our antics (both sister Mercedes and brother Bentley) include helping foster dad dust mop the floor, learning about human things like ceiling fans, TV, and none of us are allowed on the kitchen table (we aren’t sure why we can’t get up there, but foster mom tells us this word called NO?). You can’t imagine how cute and beautiful we are unless you come see us! Please email my mom at SDanielDJ@aol.com, and she will send you an application. We would love for two of us to get adopted together as siblings as we are happier with a kitty buddy. Be sure to check out my grey tabby brother Bentley and solid black sister (Mercedes) T.H.A.N.K.S. The Humane Association of NKY Shelters (501c3) Personality traits Gentle, Affectionate, Friendly, Playful
