Story
Garfield is a friendly guy who head-butts and enjoys being petted. He will greet you at the door and snuggle on your lap if you put him there. He showed up at a feral cat colony but was clearly a former pet. Garfield was drinking a lot of water so we took him to the vet. His urine was very diluted, suggesting he is in the early stages of kidney disease (early because no abnormalities were found in his bloodwork yet). The veterinarian said that Garfield does not need special treatment yet, but will need his blood and urine rechecked every 6-12 months. Once his bloodwork begins to show signs of lower kidney function, he will need to transition to a prescription diet. Although kidney disease can be slowed, it cannot be reversed and Garfield's lifespan will be shortened (typically 3-4 years from the stage he is in). Garfield plays well with other cats (but please no dogs or small children). He is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for FIV and leukemia. Garfield's adoption fee has been waived since we understand that his potential owners would be taking on higher than usual veterinary expenses. Interested in adding Garfield to your family? Story
Little Grey (1.5 years old) is in the running to be one of the most affectionate cats ever. She loves to be held and give kisses. When you're sitting on the sofa, Little Grey will drape herself all over you and roll around! Special needs: Little Grey and her siblings (Beamer and Stormy; may be adopted individually) were all surrendered to our rescue as babies in June 2022 with severe feline herpesvirus infections. Permanent damage was done to one eye on each kitty, but they each have one perfectly healthy eye. The herpes also damaged their nasal passages, so they don't whisk away particles like they're supposed. The kitties are prone to nasal congestion and may need a course of antibiotics a couple times a year to knock back secondary infections. We are looking for extra-special families to adopt these amazingly sweet but special needs kitties. We certainly don't expect all three to go to the same home but it would be nice if two of the three were adopted as a pair. All are fixed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for FIV/leukemia. Adoption fees will be waived for well-qualified adopters! To apply for a meet-and-greet (and hopefully adoption!) please fill out our online application at www.camdencompanions.org/adoption-application

Story
she loves to cuddle. she lets you know when someone's at the door. She lets you know if your child is doing something they are not supposed to. (You must pay attention to her meows and movements. That's how you'll know.) She fights off outside animals. (a squirrel came into the house once, she chased the squirrel away.) She understands to sleep at the end of the bed but you can teach her not to be on the bed. Talk to her and she'll listen, she understands English.

Story
&#226&#128&#139We have such a sweet tooth for Choco Taco! This absolute gentleman is known for his easygoing attitude. He just wants to relax, befriend everyone he meets, and be right near his favorite people. When he wants attention he will gently wave his paw and lay on his tummy for belly rubs. He loves to play with small toys that roll around, and he loves to sit on the windowsill where he can watch the cars and people go by. Choco is a chatty cat, but he tends not to meow, rather communicate through soft chirps! He loves Churus, and a frozen Churu is his favorite cold treat (since he can’t eat real choco tacos). A curious cat, he could likely join a home with a more low-key and social kitty looking for a nap partner. While he hasn't been around kids, we do think he could thrive in a home with children due to his gentle and well-mannered behavior. Choco Taco takes daily medications to manage his asthma and seizures, and while these conditions need to be monitored, they do not affect him very much on a day to day basis. The most important thing is making sure that he gets his medication on a tight schedule, one which he has memorized and will remind you about with gentle chirps around 10 minutes before. Choco Taco is truly a delight in every sense of the word, and he would love to be your new best friend! He will also go home with a fabulous THREE MONTH SUPPLY CARE PACKAGE!   Age: ~5 years old How I came to PAWS: Abandoned at Shelter Animal ID#: A54338 I am in foster care and am not at the shelter. Story
Looking for an adorable shadow? Kira's your girl! She's a quiet and gentle girl who doesn’t ask for much. She prefers lying by your side to lying on your lap, but she shows affection in her own ways. She will head butt your hand when she wants some head and back rubbing. She will give you this soft purr and then lay down on her side to tell you she is content. Treats are her favorite thing and she will happily make biscuits by your side after you give her some.  Kira is a middle aged lovely lady looking for a quiet home to spend the rest of her life. She'd prefer a home without young kids or other pets, but would be ok with another low key cat. All she asks for is a little patience so that she can adjust and blossom in your home at her own pace. If you're looking for a low maintenance, quiet companion, Kira might be the purrfect fit! Kira will go home with a   3 month supply CARE PACKAGE!   Age: 8 years  How I came to PAWS: Owner surrender  Animal ID#: A54577 &#226&#128&#139I am not at the shelter.
