Born Feb. 2010.Sprite is one of NAR's long term fosters. This little lady is a low key kitty! We think Sprite has been around for a while because she doesn't go to events. She's quite the homebody who gets pretty stressed with the temporary change of environment. Sprite would be happiest in an adult only household where she could be queen of the castle! She gets along with other cats, but would also be just fine being the only cat in the home. She'll come running to greet you at the door and sleep next to you at night. If you're looking for some quiet companionship, beautiful Sprite fits the bill!***Sprite was trapped in Northeast Philadelphia during a TNR. When she first came into foster care we weren't sure how Sprite would adjust. Since she was probably born outside, she was very shy of people and not very trusting. To our delight, Sprite decided that humans are okay and even bring her a little joy which of course includes cat treats! We think playing with the feather toy is her favorite game. It might take a while, since I'm a cat and all, but I have lots of stories to share with the world. It all started when I was just a baby. My brother and I ventured out on our own at just three-weeks of age. Well, now I know why kittens are supposed to stay with their mama until they are at least eight-weeks-old. We ended up trapped in a window well, which was rapidly filling with water during a tropical storm. Luckily, we were rescued, and I'm am still here to tell my tail...err, tale. Since then, I've been living in a foster home. I've met lots of other cats, and boy do I have some funny stories! Speaking of funny- my foster mom says I have a great sense of humor. I like to play with the laces on her shoes- while she's still wearing them-and lick her finger when she pets me. I love getting pets, and curling up with my foster family in bed. When it comes to new people though, I'm quite bashful! It takes me a while to warm up to new people and new situations, and I will need a nice looong acclimation period when I go to my forever home. I have a wonderful cat who I need to find an amazing home for. His name is Bodhi, and he’s a cuddle bug! Bodhi was adopted as a kitten from a shelter in Fort Lauderdale, FL in late August, 2019. Sometime in early 2020, Bodhi’s owner’s had a baby, & then decided that they didn’t want a pet any longer, so they simply let him outside to fend for himself. He survived alone, outside, until January 2021, when he started following me and my dog on our walks. He eventually followed me to our house and would beg to come in. I took him to the vet and discovered that he was microchipped and neutered. He was inside/outside at first, but has transitioned to 100% fully inside. Bodhi is extremely outgoing and friendly, playful, cuddly & loves belly rubs! 😻 I unfortunately travel a ton for work, and it’s very challenging for me to always find sitters for him, plus I feel so badly leaving him alone for so long. He’s very social and loves human interaction.
