Spayed or Neutered,
Story
These three ladies were trapped as part of a TNR project after their owner became ill, lost her home, and they ended up outside with a Lansdowne colony. The sisters were social and clearly not meant for outdoor life, so they were brought into foster together. They were previously spayed, had their shots updated, and they tested negative. They will be microchipped. If you guessed Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy (left to right), you are correct! They absolutely have the personalities of their TV namesakes, as you can see. Blanche and Rose immediately took over their foster home, exploring and enjoying window time together. Dorothy wasn’t so sure and elected to stay in her crate till she was darned good and ready to venture out and join the others. She has come very far in just a few short weeks and is as friendly as can be these days. After all they’ve been through losing their owner and their home, it would be a dream if these playful besties could stay together and become someone’s instant feline family, but other scenarios are possible. Put on your best caftan, grab some cheesecake, and meet The Golden Girls! Applications being accepted.   To learn more about Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Introducing the very lovely Kara. Her story is a sad one. Born in 2008, Kara had kittens who were adopted out, and Kara was spayed and adopted by a kind gentleman with several cats. Kara was well cared for, but one cat bullied her and made her timid. Her owner became ill and passed away in 2018. Kara was then adopted by another kind gentleman and friend of the rescue, who passed away very suddenly in June 2022. Kara is as sweet as sweet can be, but she needs some work and commitment from a special adopter to help rebuild her confidence. You need to seek her out, then she will thoroughly enjoy affection and will reward you with very loud purrs. Kara has been updated on all her vet care and is a very healthy senior kitty. She truly needs for her next home to be her last. A calm and loving home, ideally with no other pets (though she will adjust to kind ones), would complete Kara’s wish list. A senior human in need of a gentle companion would be just perfect. If Kara’s story stirs your heart, you just might be her person. Please apply today.   To learn more about Kara and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. Story
Camilla is an exquisite, sleek beauty of a young kitty, with possible “Russian Blue” in her DNA. Just look at that all-grey coat and her golden eyes! Born around June 2020, Camilla was on the streets and had two known litters of kittens prior to her rescue with her kitten, Baxter. She is a sweetheart whose favorite pastime is gazing out the window at passers-by and birds. She’s vocal and likes to make endearing cooing and chirping noises. She may still need a little patience to transition. But in a secure home with loving care and lots of windows to look out of, she will be happy and will warm up beautifully. Camilla feels confident on a window sill or higher perch, and she will be glad to allow you to scritch under her chin, on her head, pet her, and eventually rub that belly. She is spayed, tested negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots and vet care. Camilla knows how to play with her kittens, and she and Baxter are a perfect, bonded pair who should ideally be adopted together to a calm home. Like the Russian princess she is, she will welcome and crave your attention once she trusts you, and will reward you with plenty of returned affection. Story
Hobbes is the most typical of cats- born in Aug 2022 this boy was discovered in March 2023 as a new addition to a feeder's community cat colony. We were able to trap him  before he befell the fate of many outdoor cats- becoming feral. After being fixed he realized that the inside life was a pretty good one. He can best be described as happy-go-lucky. Hobbes prances around, perches on window sills, and enjoys wrestling with his fellow foster cats. On the whole he is a very sweet and gentle boy who never shows his claws and is ready to be your new addition!   Due to his later introduction to inside life Hobbes will need a bit of patience from his new parent- he is a little shy with new people or animals and will require a slow introduction to any gentle children or pets in your home. He does not like to be picked up or held.  He has tested negative, is neutered and microchipped, and is up to date on all shots and vet care. Applications are accepted now for this adorable boy, so don’t delay! Story
Baxter is a unique little fella! This handsome black boy born in late April 2022 is the child to fellow foster kitty “Camilla”. The pair were brought inside together in June 2022. Baxter loves doing zoomies and dropping toys in his water bowl. One of his favorite games is bopping a toy off the top of a scratching post, then chasing it. He needs a playmate and his mommy Camilla is the ideal companion for him. The two are bonded and enjoy each other’s company. He may still be slightly cautious when people approach him; a tiny bit of patience and further loving are all that are needed. A gentle approach will have him rolling on his back and asking for belly rubs, which he LOVES. Once you’ve won his trust, Baxter is quite the ragdoll and will happily let you pick him up and carry him around, nuzzling you contentedly. He even loves nose kisses! Baxter is neutered, tested negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on all shots and vet care. Don’t hesitate to apply—with charming Baxter, the rewards are great. Along with Mama Camilla, you’ll have the purrfect instant family! Story
This gorgeous young girl is loving, lanky, and oh-so-social, with the most adorable charcoal gray spots down her back and a very distinctive face. Reebie is active, affectionate, and very focused on her people! She enjoys both cardboard and sisal scratchers, watching birds out the window, and exploring her surroundings. She was found wandering outside all on her own in July of 2023 and has been loving enthusiastically on her foster mom (and every other person she meets) ever since. Reebie is very food motivated, which means she will likely be able to learn some tricks if her owner would like to teach her some. She prefers to be your one and only cat and would be a great addition to a home with gentle children. Born around July of 2020, Reebie is tested negative, up to date on vet care, and ready for her forever home and people. Story
Dina is 3 years old and was found with her ear already clipped which told us she had already been spayed and vaccinated, but we wanted to take her off the streets to help her find her a forever family. Dina is also one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet! She is quiet and sweet and LOVES being petted. She is a little hesitant at first, but once she realizes you just want to give her some love, she’ll come right to you. She does this cute thing where she’ll rub against your hand and do a little hop at the same time! Dina is quiet and shy, but longs for a forever home. As of right now, she is unsure of cuddling, but with time and the right people, she will open up. She likes to play on her own, especially at night. An overall quiet home would be the best for her as she is scared of lots of commotion. She’d be OK living with other cats if they are friendly. Dina really is the sweetest cat I’ve ever met and truly deserves a forever family who will shower her with love. Dina Lancaster is about 3 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.

Story
Meet Lief Purrikson aka Lief the Lucky. This mighty explorer is hunting for the next adventure in his lifetime – his own loving home. He appeared at a managed colony in 2023, and at first meeting, was deemed feral, so he was solely a TNR at the time. However, with some consistency in daily feedings, he quickly dropped his shoulders and showed the actual full depth of his personality to his caretaker. Lief decided to take the next step on his grand adventure right before the snow hit in 2024, and moved into his current foster’s office. He’s acclimated so well, both to the indoor life and his fellow office foster siblings. Lief is generally very low maintenance, gentle and loves all of the pets, and head scritches you want to rain down on his big-cheeked head. He’s even known to offer up his sacred belly for rubs and kisses once you’ve secured his trust. Lief also *loves* his bed (or any soft spot really) where he can snuggle up and sleep his day away. Lief also enjoys playtime and hasn’t met a wand toy he doesn’t want to chase. Of late, he’s gotten into his “underground” explorations of going through all the various cat tunnels located throughout the office. Lief Purrickson gets along with all he meets and does exceptionally well with other cats. He’s also open to being your one and only, too, if that’s more your speed. Lief Purrickson is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax) - 50% off adoption fees!

Story
Oh sweet, sad boy Dylan. Dylan had a really rough go for the first half of his life, and was rescued off the streets by Project MEOW with a terrible case of mange and a flea allergy that left him covered in scabs and mostly hairless. Over the last six months, Dylan has recovered beautifully in his foster home and is learning to trust people again. He currently lives with a companion cat, Chanel Ruby (also available for adoption) and they would be happiest if they were adopted together. That said, Dylan would thrive in a quiet home with a person or couple that has the patience to let him come out of his shell. When Dylan first came to his foster, he wouldn't come out of his carrier, and would only eat if he were completely alone. Now he gratefully seeks out pets every morning, rubs against his foster parents' legs while getting fed, and even rolls over to get belly rubs. He is improving every single day and is sure to reward his forever family with his true personality once he feels safe enough to let it out. A gentle, quiet boy, Dylan prefers his own space but will always chose a spot where he can be seen and where he can see you. I imagine him being paired with a novelist - one day, you're typing out the last page of your first book. You can feel the hum of completion just around the corner. But out of nowhere, for the first time, Dylan has stepped in front of the computer and bumped his soft head against your hand. You close the computer and welcome him onto your lap. The novel can be finished another day. Dylan Farson is 4-5 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Story
PJ is a very sweet kitty and she would do well in a variety of homes. She has adjusted very quickly in her foster home and is a sweet, affectionate, playful indoor cat. She loves to walk around you in circles to maximize pets and will nuzzle anything nearby. She is not quite ready for sitting in laps yet (once!), but could get there once you build her trust. She loves to play, on her own or with you and a feather, a piece of dust, anything can be a toy! PJ likes to be near you most of the time, but is happy to curl up on her own chair close by. She would also do well with another cat to play with, especially when she gets a bit lonely early in the morning and wonders why no one is awake yet to play with her! PJ takes a few days to get used to being in a new space but will steadily explore each corner and find the best spots for a nap in between playtime sessions. She is doing a lot better with loud noises since arriving to her foster home, but still doesn't love being around more than a few people at a time. She wiggles a but when she's being held and is ready to leave your arms (we are working on being picked up). PJ Cecil is around 3 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. PJ is affectionate, curious, friendly, gentle, playful, quiet, and smart. Adoption fee: $100 - 50% off adoption fees!

Lexi was a friendly West Philly stray who wormed her way inside the house and into our hearts. She loves sitting on laps and would let you scratch her for hours, but is also content to just lay in her too-large-dog-bed if she can't monopolize your time. She's playful and so sweet. She gets along with other cats and would do well in a home where she can get lots of attention. Lexi Paxon is around 3 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Story
Santa Salford Holly is one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats we’ve ever met. This charming fella is the epitome of a lap cat: If you’re sitting down, he’ll seize the opportunity to sprawl across your legs, purring all the while—the perfect companion for reading, working, or binge watching! He’s also very social and adores being around the people he loves. At the same time, Santa is happy to entertain himself by watching cat TV (aka gazing out the window), lounging around looking cute, and chasing his toy mice. Besides his beloved humans (this could be you!), Santa’s favorite things include wand toys—it’s a joy to watch him play—treats, and lots of scritches. Santa has endured some rough times that have left him with a tilt to his head and occasional balance issues. This, however, does not otherwise affect his day-to-day life or health. He has safely spent time with dogs and, due to his gentle disposition, he’s great with new people and children. He has a lot of love to give, which may be a bit much for some cats, but we believe he could thrive with the right feline friend(s). If your ideal cat is easygoing, endlessly loving, and absolutely adorable (just look at those cheeks!), then Santa will be the perfect addition to your family. Santa Salford is about 2 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $50 (plus tax) - that's 50% off regular adoption fees!
