Story
This gorgeous calico girl is ready to find her forever! Tweety was born in early 2023 and loves to play! She has been living the solo cat life so far and requires a lot of activity to be her best self- we suspect she would be a great fit for a home with another playful cat without small children. She has great litter and food manners and has a charming growly meow. Tweety is spayed, FIV/FELV negative, up to date on shots, and has a clean bill of health. Apply today to bring this darling girl home.   To learn more about Tweety and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. Story
Baxter is a unique little fella! This handsome black boy born in late April 2022 is growing up very fast. Born to foster kitty “Camilla,” the pair were brought inside together in June 2022. Baxter loves doing zoomies and dropping toys in his water bowl. One of his favorite games is bopping a toy off the top of a scratching post, then chasing it. He needs a playmate and his mommy Camilla is the ideal companion for him. The two are bonded and enjoy each other’s company. He may still be slightly cautious when people approach him; a tiny bit of patience and further loving are all that are needed. A gentle approach will have him rolling on his back and asking for belly rubs, which he LOVES. Once you’ve won his trust, Baxter is quite the ragdoll and will happily let you pick him up and carry him around, nuzzling you contentedly. He even loves nose kisses! Baxter is neutered, tested negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on all shots and vet care. Don’t hesitate to apply—with charming Baxter, the rewards are great. Along with Mama Camilla, you’ll have the purrfect instant family! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Introducing the very lovely Kara. Her story is a sad one. Born in 2008, Kara had kittens who were adopted out, and Kara was spayed and adopted by a kind gentleman with several cats. Kara was well cared for, but one cat bullied her and made her timid. Her owner became ill and passed away in 2018. Kara was then adopted by another kind gentleman and friend of the rescue, who passed away very suddenly in June 2022. Kara is as sweet as sweet can be, but she needs some work and commitment from a special adopter to help rebuild her confidence. You need to seek her out, then she will thoroughly enjoy affection and will reward you with very loud purrs. Kara has been updated on all her vet care and is a very healthy senior kitty. She truly needs for her next home to be her last. A calm and loving home, ideally with no other pets (though she will adjust to kind ones), would complete Kara’s wish list. A senior human in need of a gentle companion would be just perfect. If Kara’s story stirs your heart, you just might be her person. Please apply today.   To learn more about Kara and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. Story
Camilla is an exquisite, sleek beauty of a young kitty, with possible “Russian Blue” in her DNA. Just look at that all-grey coat and her golden eyes! Born around June 2020, Camilla was on the streets and had two known litters of kittens prior to her rescue with her kitten, Baxter. She is a sweetheart whose favorite pastime is gazing out the window at passers-by and birds. She’s vocal and likes to make endearing cooing and chirping noises. She may still need a little patience to transition. But in a secure home with loving care and lots of windows to look out of, she will be happy and will warm up beautifully. Camilla feels confident on a window sill or higher perch, and she will be glad to allow you to scritch under her chin, on her head, pet her, and eventually rub that belly. She is spayed, tested negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots and vet care. Camilla knows how to play with her kittens, and she and Baxter are a perfect, bonded pair who should ideally be adopted together to a calm home. Like the Russian princess she is, she will welcome and crave your attention once she trusts you, and will reward you with plenty of returned affection. Story
Carleton has one of those soulful feline faces that makes him look almost human—kind of like a person in a cat suit! This special guy was born in March of 2018 and is a calm, gentle cat who really likes being close to his people, but not right in their laps. He has long, lanky legs that mean he will do best with a large, high-sided litter box to keep things tidy, but he does have very good manners in that department. He was found in August 2023 in very poor condition, at the edge of starvation, and he has recovered beautifully with lots of TLC and expert vet care. Carleton is up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped. He would enjoy a quieter home, though he would not mind school-age children. He does enjoy playing with a good wand toy! He is currently living with other cats but doesn't prefer to engage with them. Carleton may be able to live contentedly with another quiet cat like himself. Due to his recent past, he is currently on sensitive stomach dry food for digestion. Special food may not be required forever, but for now it helps him to live his best life. He also adores all types of wet food. Take a good, long look at that face, and then apply to bring this sweet boy into your home and your life today! Story
Meet Gemma, courtesy posted by Animal Friends of Lansdowne. Gemma was discovered in the summer of 2021 on the street and was born in spring of 2019. The vets believe that Gemma's missing front limb is congenital and it doesn't slow her down in the least! This girl is friendly with both cats and dogs but her perfect dream home would be one where she can be a lap cat in a calm home. Gemma is up to date on shots, fixed, and microchipped.   To learn more about Gemma and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. Story
We rescued Wormie in July of 2022 when she was about 8 weeks old. We found her wandering the street limping so we took her in and got her to the vet to see why she was limping. They told us she likely had nerve damage in left hip from her time outside either an injury, animal fight, or birth injury. They recommended surgery, however we did not have the finances to do that and we werent even sure if we were going to keep her. But within a few weeks she began walking fine, jumping, playing, acting normally and she hasnt had issues with her leg since. Our intention was to foster her and eventually find her a home as we have another cat that does not do well with other cats, however time got away from us and we wound up keeping her longer than expected. She is a sweet cuddly cat and loves humans however she is extremely food driven and often tries to get into the trash can and fridge, knocks things off the counters. we have tried to correct these behaviors but have been unsuccessful.

Story
Beamer (1.5 years old) is a total momma's boy! He is super gentle, loves to snuggle, and purrs when carried around. He enjoys playing with toys and other cats. Special needs: Beamer and his siblings (Little Grey and Stormy; may be adopted individually) were all surrendered to our rescue as babies in June 2022 with severe feline herpesvirus infections. Permanent damage was done to one eye on each kitty, but they each have one perfectly healthy eye. The herpes also damaged their nasal passages, so they don't whisk away particles like they're supposed. The kitties are prone to nasal congestion and may need a course of antibiotics a couple times a year to knock back secondary infections. We are looking for extra-special families to adopt these amazingly sweet but special needs kitties. We certainly don't expect all three to go to the same home but it would be nice if two of the three were adopted as a pair. All are fixed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for FIV/leukemia. Adoption fees will be waived for well-qualified adopters! To apply for a meet-and-greet (and hopefully adoption!) please fill out our online application at www.camdencompanions.org/adoption-application

Story
Garfield is a friendly guy who head-butts and enjoys being petted. He will greet you at the door and snuggle on your lap if you put him there. He showed up at a feral cat colony but was clearly a former pet. Garfield was drinking a lot of water so we took him to the vet. His urine was very diluted, suggesting he is in the early stages of kidney disease (early because no abnormalities were found in his bloodwork yet). The veterinarian said that Garfield does not need special treatment yet, but will need his blood and urine rechecked every 6-12 months. Once his bloodwork begins to show signs of lower kidney function, he will need to transition to a prescription diet. Although kidney disease can be slowed, it cannot be reversed and Garfield's lifespan will be shortened (typically 3-4 years from the stage he is in). Garfield plays well with other cats (but please no dogs or small children). He is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, and negative for FIV and leukemia. Garfield's adoption fee has been waived since we understand that his potential owners would be taking on higher than usual veterinary expenses. Interested in adding Garfield to your family? Story
Lucky, the Garage kitten, came to us in December 2023. He was emaciated and very sick when we rescued him. His eyes were infected, he had a serious upper respiratory infection, and we could feel every single bone in his tiny, fragile body. It was obvious that he had been on his own and without food for a long time. We rushed him home and started medical treatment immediately, which thankfully, he responded well to! Now, Lucky is a healthy, strong, playful little man!! Lucky is 4 1/2 months old and ready to find his forever Family! He is a very playful boy, he loves his tower, and he loves to play with his toys!! He enjoys being held on your chest so he can snuggle your face. Lucky has the longest legs we've ever seen on a kitten, and his furr is beautiful black & brown stripes. We highly recommend that Lucky be adopted into a home with another young, playful kitty! If you know where Lucky's Purrfect people are, please send them our way!! Apply www.purrfectangels.org/adopt
