Spayed or Neutered,
Story
These three ladies were trapped as part of a TNR project after their owner became ill, lost her home, and they ended up outside with a Lansdowne colony. The sisters were social and clearly not meant for outdoor life, so they were brought into foster together. They were previously spayed, had their shots updated, and they tested negative. They will be microchipped. If you guessed Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy (left to right), you are correct! They absolutely have the personalities of their TV namesakes, as you can see. Blanche and Rose immediately took over their foster home, exploring and enjoying window time together. Dorothy wasn’t so sure and elected to stay in her crate till she was darned good and ready to venture out and join the others. She has come very far in just a few short weeks and is as friendly as can be these days. After all they’ve been through losing their owner and their home, it would be a dream if these playful besties could stay together and become someone’s instant feline family, but other scenarios are possible. Put on your best caftan, grab some cheesecake, and meet The Golden Girls! Applications being accepted.   To learn more about Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Introducing the very lovely Kara. Her story is a sad one. Born in 2008, Kara had kittens who were adopted out, and Kara was spayed and adopted by a kind gentleman with several cats. Kara was well cared for, but one cat bullied her and made her timid. Her owner became ill and passed away in 2018. Kara was then adopted by another kind gentleman and friend of the rescue, who passed away very suddenly in June 2022. Kara is as sweet as sweet can be, but she needs some work and commitment from a special adopter to help rebuild her confidence. You need to seek her out, then she will thoroughly enjoy affection and will reward you with very loud purrs. Kara has been updated on all her vet care and is a very healthy senior kitty. She truly needs for her next home to be her last. A calm and loving home, ideally with no other pets (though she will adjust to kind ones), would complete Kara’s wish list. A senior human in need of a gentle companion would be just perfect. If Kara’s story stirs your heart, you just might be her person. Please apply today.   To learn more about Kara and other pets available for adoption, and to download an adoption application, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org. Story
Hobbes is the most typical of cats- born in Aug 2022 this boy was discovered in March 2023 as a new addition to a feeder's community cat colony. We were able to trap him  before he befell the fate of many outdoor cats- becoming feral. After being fixed he realized that the inside life was a pretty good one. He can best be described as happy-go-lucky. Hobbes prances around, perches on window sills, and enjoys wrestling with his fellow foster cats. On the whole he is a very sweet and gentle boy who never shows his claws and is ready to be your new addition!   Due to his later introduction to inside life Hobbes will need a bit of patience from his new parent- he is a little shy with new people or animals and will require a slow introduction to any gentle children or pets in your home. He does not like to be picked up or held.  He has tested negative, is neutered and microchipped, and is up to date on all shots and vet care. Applications are accepted now for this adorable boy, so don’t delay! Story
Carleton has one of those soulful feline faces that makes him look almost human—kind of like a person in a cat suit! This special guy was born in March of 2018 and is a calm, gentle cat who really likes being close to his people, but not right in their laps. He has long, lanky legs that mean he will do best with a large, high-sided litter box to keep things tidy, but he does have very good manners in that department. He was found in August 2023 in very poor condition, at the edge of starvation, and he has recovered beautifully with lots of TLC and expert vet care. Carleton is up to date on shots, neutered, and microchipped. He would enjoy a quieter home, though he would not mind school-age children. He does enjoy playing with a good wand toy! He is currently living with other cats but doesn't prefer to engage with them. Carleton may be able to live contentedly with another quiet cat like himself. Due to his recent past, he is currently on sensitive stomach dry food for digestion. Special food may not be required forever, but for now it helps him to live his best life. He also adores all types of wet food. Take a good, long look at that face, and then apply to bring this sweet boy into your home and your life today! Story
Sage is a lovely young gentleman ready to go home with you! He was found near a busy street as a tiny kitten and rescued and brought to us. This boy is playful, loving, and has a purr as loud as a lawnmower! Sage loves to play with toys (wands, springs, and his special soft ball are his favorites), scratch on his scratching post, and reaches up to his fosters to be held like a baby and gives face kisses to show his adoration. Sage would be most happy in a home with a playmate - be that another active young cat or perhaps a well supervised child. He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to start his forever life in his new home - could that be yours? Story
Meet Juno! This playful girl is full of energy and love to share with you. Little miss had quite an introduction to rescue- she got herself caught in a van and helped herself to some Jalapeno pork rinds! Now safely in foster she's decompressed and is a loving, playful girl and loves to rub up against her people. Estimated to be born in August 2023 Juno is spayed, tested negative, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.  Juno's foster mom describes her as affectionate, eager-to-please, and playful. Now that she's feeling secure she's no longer scarfing down her food and is constantly seeking attention from humans. She seems to be fine with other cats and some dogs. Story
Dina is 3 years old and was found with her ear already clipped which told us she had already been spayed and vaccinated, but we wanted to take her off the streets to help her find her a forever family. Dina is also one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet! She is quiet and sweet and LOVES being petted. She is a little hesitant at first, but once she realizes you just want to give her some love, she’ll come right to you. She does this cute thing where she’ll rub against your hand and do a little hop at the same time! Dina is quiet and shy, but longs for a forever home. As of right now, she is unsure of cuddling, but with time and the right people, she will open up. She likes to play on her own, especially at night. An overall quiet home would be the best for her as she is scared of lots of commotion. She’d be OK living with other cats if they are friendly. Dina really is the sweetest cat I’ve ever met and truly deserves a forever family who will shower her with love. Dina Lancaster is about 3 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Story
Oh sweet, sad boy Dylan. Dylan had a really rough go for the first half of his life, and was rescued off the streets by Project MEOW with a terrible case of mange and a flea allergy that left him covered in scabs and mostly hairless. Over the last six months, Dylan has recovered beautifully in his foster home and is learning to trust people again. He currently lives with a companion cat, Chanel Ruby (also available for adoption) and they would be happiest if they were adopted together. That said, Dylan would thrive in a quiet home with a person or couple that has the patience to let him come out of his shell. When Dylan first came to his foster, he wouldn't come out of his carrier, and would only eat if he were completely alone. Now he gratefully seeks out pets every morning, rubs against his foster parents' legs while getting fed, and even rolls over to get belly rubs. He is improving every single day and is sure to reward his forever family with his true personality once he feels safe enough to let it out. A gentle, quiet boy, Dylan prefers his own space but will always chose a spot where he can be seen and where he can see you. I imagine him being paired with a novelist - one day, you're typing out the last page of your first book. You can feel the hum of completion just around the corner. But out of nowhere, for the first time, Dylan has stepped in front of the computer and bumped his soft head against your hand. You close the computer and welcome him onto your lap. The novel can be finished another day. Dylan Farson is 4-5 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Moose can be described as a gentleman of a cat. He is calm, friendly, and sweet - not a particularly needy guy, though he loves handing around his people and being brushed. Story
Jasper Ludlow is a gentle and sweet young cat who enjoys playing, investigating, and hanging out. If given the choice, he will sleep near you at night. He gets along with other cats his age and bonds quickly with them. In a new home, Jasper will be shy fora while until he adjusts to a new space and a new family. For him, consistency and patience are going to be key. When he settles in, he is an active and curious kitty and he does like scratches and cuddles. Jasper has a sweet little sourpuss face, but he will roll over for scratches and love, and will show you with gentle brushes that he loves you. Jasper will thrive best in a home with another cat, so if you're looking for a pal for your pal, he's your guy! Jasper is around 2 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Story
Cosmo Starlight followed her mom, Mama Moon (also up for adoption) into her foster home one rainy day, curious but uncertain about humans. They had been living in a neighbor’s garage and struggling to survive. Cosmo still doesn’t fully trust humans, but she appreciates the food and safety that come with indoor life. She remains very attached to and affectionate with Moon. This is a highly energetic and playful youngster with an impish spirit. The feather wand is her favorite and she will do spectacular leaps with it, but she also loves hunting little creature toys. She often hangs out in the same room with people, at a distance. Once in great while, she snuggles into a person on the couch. She only rarely tolerates petting, and quickly turns it into a chance to play. She is extremely fearful of attempts to pick her up and often meets a hand outstretched to pet her with a painless swat. She HAS warmed up over time, and likely will continue to do so, if given patience and love. She would do best if adopted with her mom, Moon. She is largely indifferent to the 9-year-old in her foster home. She needs a family that will give her space, play with her, and work patiently to earn her trust. Cosmo Starlight is just under a year old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Story
Harper was found outside her foster’s apartment, pregnant with a busted hip. Dispute this rough start, she is a total sweetheart. She loves giving and receiving kisses, and laying on her human. She is a bit of a velcro kitty, feisty, and has a lot of “kitten energy.” She needs someone to help her burn some of that energy, like another cat or a human that will give her a lot of attention and playtime. Harper loves toy mice and would love a human to throw her some! Harper Carter is around 2 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
