Story
Sprite came to us young and pregnant. She had a miscarriage and was on the mend when she ruptured her eardrum. After some medical care and good ol’ fashioned TLC, she healed up without any noticeable hearing loss. Sprite is a remarkable one-year-old cat who has faced more challenges in her short life than most of us can imagine. At first, Sprite is a bit nervous. New environments and people make her retreat into her shell. Once Sprite trusts you, her true nature shines through. She craves love and companionship and will curl up in your lap, purring softly. Sprite’s journey has been tough, but her heart remains open. She dreams of a loving family who will cherish her quirks, celebrate her victories, and love her unconditionally. Sprite would thrive in a calm, peaceful home. She needs a human who understands that healing takes time. Despite her hardships, she remains a beacon of hope and sweetness, ready to find her forever home.

Story
Eva loves attention and playing with cat toys. When she is happy and content, she sticks out her tongue! She makes the cutest sounds and chuffs like a tiger does. She is sill and entertaining. To no fault of her own, she would do better in a home as a single cat or with one other cat. She gets along great with the other cats but doesn’t like to share a litter box with more than one other cat.

Story
This is the second of several cats taken from a residence where the sweet elderly home owner was placed in a nursing facility due to her ailing health. Her only request is that homes be found for her beloved cats. She is heartbroken that she can no longer be with her fur babies, but hopes there is a kind soul that would be willing to house and love her kitties. Samantha is a sweet girl approximately 4/5 years of age. She is a little distrustful, but warms up quickly. She has been spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (-), and flea treated.

Serena is the third of four cats that were taken in for a sweet elderly woman who was placed in a nursing home care facility due to her ailing health. Her only request was for us to find her beloved fur babies safe and loving homes. Serena is a bit on the shy side. She is approximately 4/5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (-), and flea treated. She was an indoor/outdoor cat at her last residence.

Story
This is a courtesy post for a fellow rescuer who gave Luna a foster home after she lost her owner.  Luna ia a 7 yo Black and White Tuxedo cat that is need of a new home.  Her owner passed away recently and none of her relatives could take the cat in.   Luna is spayed and UTD on vaccinations. She will need a Rabies vaccine next month.  She was an only cat in the household and treated well.  She comes with a lot of toys and cat tree.  She is very sweet and loves to cuddle, give head bumps and enjoys beomg with her person. A good samaritan took Luna in and currently has her at her home. She does appear to need to be an only cat as she does not seem to like other kitties. If you would like to find out more about Luna or to get an adoption application, please email us at bandocats@gmail.com and we will put you in contact with Jennifer, the person who has taken Luna into her home. October 11, 2024, 6:31 am

Story
Posey is a 6 month old female dark gray tiger kitten.  Posey has had a rough start in life.  She was living in a hoarding situation with about 40 other cats when her owner died.  Since some of the cats were feral, a TNR group was called upon to help remove cats from the apartment and find them homes.  This was a difficult task due to the amount of furniture and household items left in the home after the death so Posey was one of the last to be rescued.  The group worked over a course of two weeks so during that time, Posey was hiding, most likely in the closet where she was trapped.  Because Posey was afraid, she hid and was thought to be feral.  Posey was taken to the clinic where she was spayed and ear tipped with the feral cats.  The vet who did the surgery reported that Posey was actually very sweet but undernourished. It’s hard to say how long Posey was without adequate food and water.  Posey did receive an ear tip but it only reminds us of what she has been through. Posey has a natural “grumpy face” that is very endearing.  One of the TNR volunteers offered to foster Posey so she would have a chance at an indoor home.  Posey has proved to be a very sweet cat indeed.  She is still a little bit shy but has warmed up to her foster family very well.  When she arrived at the foster home, she purred and hissed at the same time.  She was terrified.  But now she only purrs!  Posey has begun to play and loves small toys.  She is an explorer and goes everywhere in the house and will find any little thing to bring out and play with even a piece of paper.  Posey loves pets and rubs her head on foster mom repeatedly.     Posey is clean and litter box trained.  She is vaccinated, flea treated and de-wormed, and tested negative for feline leukemias/FIV. Posey will warm your heart and your bed (she sleeps with foster mom). Posey would love to have a stable forever home.  Please consider adopting Posey.   To request an adoption application, please email bandocats@gmail.comOctober 11, 2024, 6:31 am

Story
My name is Paddie and I was born at a mechanics lot in Shawnee Hills, Ohio with my sibling. We were both adopted into different homes after being in foster care. I was in her previous home for approximately 4 years and started having litter box avoidance issues. It was also determined that I am high anxiety cat. I was prescribed medications to help with both issues, but it was reported that these meds weren’t successful in that home environment. Since I have been back at the Cozy Cat Cottage, I have had good behavior. I am very affectionate and I loves pets. I currently receive my Prozac via a transdermal cream. This cream is rubbed into my ear daily. I didn’t mind taking my pills if they were crushed and mixed into canned food, but I am a grazer, so I wasn’t getting my entire daily dose. I have gotten into a couple of squabbles here at the center, but at the end of the day I just want one on one attention. A large cat/animal family wouldn’t be the best fit for me, since I get anxious. I will make a great companion to someone. It is suggested that I stay on my medication. Luckily there are easy ways to medicate me! A quiet laid back lifestyle would suit me best. Please come and visit me to see if I would make your house a home.
