This is courtesy post for a family in Grove City who has a momma cat with two 5-6 month old kittens living in their neighborhood. All three cats are sweet and friendly. The kittens have been adopted. Only Ravage, the mom, still needs a home. The family TNRed the kitties, so they are all are spayed/neutered but they want to find them homes with winter coming. They have recently moved them all inside the house. Ravage (momma cat) 1-1.5 yo dilute tortie female. She showed up outside of the family's home skinny and with kittens. She was trapped and spayed, has had her vaccines, is FIV and Feline Leukemia negative, microchipped, and treated preventatively for fleas/dewormed. She is very sweet and food motivated. She loves to play and lay in boxes filled with toys. She seems to do well with other cats as long as they give her a little space. She will let people pick her up and hold her for a minute or two. Story

My name is Vance. I was roaming a Hilliard neighborhood in late Fall. It's no fun being abandoned, but I would show up at this one house and find dinner waiting for me. In January just before it got really cold and snowy, they took me inside and gave me my own room. I slept for 3 days. I am a dark brown/black tabby, male, est 1-1/2 to 2 years old. I went to the vet and have been neutered and vaccinated. There are plenty of cats in this home already, so I would like a place of my own with someone who is patient and kind and will help me adjust to new surroundings. I'm doing a better job of trusting people than I used to and I welcome her when she opens the door. I don't think I'm ready for children and I don't know what to expect with dogs. If you have a safe, warm and cozy barn and give me yummy food, water and TLC, that would be ok too. Roman was the outside kitty of a lady who is having to re-home her cats due to dementia. Roman was used to being fed on her front porch. Since the lady has to go to assisted living, we took Roman in. Roman could be a barn kitty, an inside/outside kitty, or an inside only cat for someone who does not mind that he does not like to be picked up and prefers pets on his own terms. He is a sensitive boy and just needs someone who understands that it frightens him to be picked up. Roman does like to be petted, but he gets overstimulated and will let you know with a soft paw swat when he has had too much. For this reason, he could not be in a home with children. Roman is friendly and does like head rubs and to have his face rubbed. He is also a talker and will talk to you. Roman likes other cats. He was hanging around with another cat on the front porch of the former caregiver's home. Roman is about 2-years-old. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV, treated preventatively for fleas/ticks, dewormed, and microchipped. Story

This is a courtesy post for a family who must, unfortunately, find a new home for Hank, because he is stressed with a new dog and new baby in the home. Hank is almost two years old and is an incredibly friendly and affectionate cat. He has always been wonderful with people and is especially great with other animals. He absolutely loves dogs and is very affectionate toward the familys original two dogs, and also gets along extremely well with their other cat. They are very playful together and spend a lot of time running around the house. Unfortunately, after the family welcomed a newborn and added another dog to the family, Hank became upset and has stopped interacting with the family in his normal way. It seems clear that he is stressed by all the changes in the house and needs a quieter home. Hank is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, and the family has his complete veterinary records available. He is a loving, social cat who does very well with other animals, and the family truly believes he would thrive in the right environment. Story

Friend showed up at a nice lady's house after making his way across a bean field to find her. He spend 20 minutes curled up in her lap just sleeping after she gave him a bit of food. Finally, he felt safe. We think he was probably dumped close by as he looks very thin and was so happy to have found someone who was kind. Friend is just a baby at only 5 months old. He is super sweet and loves to be held and petted and picked up. As you can see, he is also a "parrot kitty" and likes to perch on your shoulder. Friend has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV, dewormed, microchipped, and treated preventatively for fleas/ticks. Friend is young enough that he could be easily introduced to dogs, other cats, and cat savvy children. This sweet boy needs a home inside and out of the fields around Plain City.
