Story
Meet Lola. Lola is about 5-6 years young. She has lots of energy, is very friendly and LOVES her toys. Lola has lots to say and will tell her stories all day. While she is quite affectionate once she warms up, she is still a bit shy and will take time to adjust in a new home. A calmer home with patience would be best. Lola is tolerant of other female cats but does not like males. She had a female roomie for a few months, and they were best buddies. She is now living with 5 other female cats, and gets along great with them, but she would also be perfectly happy as an only child. Lola so deserves a loving patient forever home that will take good care of her. Lola has had a hard life. She was living outdoors on a rural property where she had litter after litter. As you can see from her pictures, she did lose an eye - this was due to chronic untreated infections. She has had dental work done including most of her teeth removed. While Lola is FIV positive, it does not slow her down – please refer below for more information on FIV. Lola has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you have room in your heart & your home for this deserving girl, please message us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com. The adoption fee is $200. FIV ----- FIV is a feline only virus that cannot be transmitted to people or other animal species. FIV is not passed between cats through casual contact like sharing food bowls or litter boxes or through playing, wrestling or licking/cleaning each other. FIV is passed between cats through a deep bite wound – deep enough to inject saliva into the bloodstream of the other cat – commonly occurring in outdoor cats who fight for territory. Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine conducted a long-term study in cat shelters and found that FIV-positive cats can live with FIV-negative cats and not infect the FIV-negative cats during normal day-to-day interaction. Studies over the last 10 years have also shown that cats with FIV often live as long as otherwise healthy cats that do not have this virus. Story
Meet Angel & Patches! These beautiful girls were surrendered to Hearts to Homes when their owner could no longer take care of them. They are a bonded pair. Angel (Tabby) & Patches (Tortoiseshell) are about 3 years old. They are playful, chatty and like to be scratched! Mornings are their favourite! After a quiet night, they love breakfast time, toy time and chase games! They also love sitting at windows and naps! Angel & Patches would do best in an established home that will not abandon them again. They are great companion cats and deserve a lap of their own. Angel & Patches have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for FIV/FELV. If you have room in your heart & your home for this bonded pair, contact us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com. The adoption fee is $400 for the pair.

Story
Meet Milo & Woogie! These brothers are about 10 months old now. They have beautiful markings and very velvety fur. They love to play with each other with any toy on a string or a toy with catnip. They have also been known to bat around a pair of socks if found balled up on the floor! Milo is a confident affectionate kitten. Woogie is shy at first but once he gets to know you, he is the one who wants the most snuggles! Milo & Woogie would be okay with older children who are gentle and would respect their boundaries. They are also fine with other cats and would do best in a home with lots of room to move around as that is what they are used to. Milo & Woogie have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for FIV/FELV. If you have room in your heart & your home for these two gentle & playful boys, contact us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com. The adoption fee is $400 for the pair.

Story
Meet Arebus (male, black) & Trixie (female, calico)! Arebus & Trixie are about 3.5 years old. They were surrendered to our rescue due to allergies. Once they settle in, you will find Trixie to be more outgoing & social – she enjoys pets and snuggles but also has that Calico independent streak. Her partner in crime, Arebus, is shier and will take a little time to warm up but once he does, here is what his foster mother has to say ‘Arebus is ridiculously affectionate. He is my lap cat! Truly one of the most lovable cats I’ve met. He loves touch and stares into my soul when we’re cuddling. He just needs time!!!’ Both are gentle and playful and would be fine with another gentle cat. They are fine with the male cat in their foster home. They had a very difficult time with the hyper active puppy in their original home and consequently we do not recommend that they be in a home with dogs. Arebus’ original owners decided to declaw him in the front earlier this year because he was scratching the furniture. We do not support declawing for any reason and truly wish they had surrendered him to us before declawing him. It is shameful that any vet in Ontario would declaw a cat because he is scratching furniture. Arebus also had a urinary issue in 2022 that we believe was the result of poor diet & stress. We are firm believers that all cats should get wet food every day. A tablespoon of wet food twice a day and lots of fresh water goes a long way in helping to prevent urinary crystals caused by a dry kibble diet alone. They are both on a urinary diet now and Arebus is doing great. Arebus & Trixie have been neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you have room in your heart & your home for this gentle bonded pair, contact us here or email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com. The adoption fee is $400 for the pair.
