Story
Adrian is a fluffy and energetic young man. He has made tremendous progress since he joined the LCHS family. In the beginning he was so unsure and defensive that we could barely offer him a treat properly. Now he is taking in treats and allowing gentle petting. He also enjoys practicing his hunting skill with a toy mouse instead of people's hands. He still has a long way ahead of him, but his foster family will continue to work with him. We hope he can finally raise his tail and purr in the near future. Adrian will need an experienced and committed adopter to continue his socialization. His best match is a home with one or two quiet adults who are savvy with cats.

Story
Meowllo, everyone. My name is Lucy and unfortunately, I have a devastating backstory. I was dropped off at someone’s doorstep with my babies, Frankie and Grace, in poor health and significant pain. I was missing a large portion of my tail and bone was left protruding. Upon seeing a veterinarian, they made the decision to amputate my tail. Regardless of what I have been through, I am not afraid of humans. Although I am still a bit skittish around unfamiliar faces, I have grown to become a playful, talkative little girl. I am super affectionate upon getting to know you, too. Soon enough, I will be asking you for pets by pawing or headbutting you. She even enjoys cuddling with her trusted humans. While the exact circumstances of my backstory are still a mystery, I find comfort in knowing that I will have a furever home that will not inflict similar pain onto me. A home that will also respect my wishes of not being picked up, giving me time to properly adjust and working with me to help me continue to grow. If you would like to be my furever companion while also experiencing the rewarding feeling of watching me come out of my shell, you can apply to adopt me by visiting here: https://www.petsaliveniagara.ca/site/blog/2022/03/16/adoptable-cat-lucy

Story
Meowllo, hoomans. My name is Eevee. I’m a 2.5 year old domestic shorthair tabby in search of my furever home. Now that my kittens are grown up and going to homes of their own, it is my turn. Since I was a stray for most of my life, I am still getting used to living with humans - especially the noises they make! I startle easily, but I am making great strides. I want to be brave because I like attention and pets, but I still get nervous as people approach. My foster mom has been getting a daily pet, and I’m even letting my foster dad pet me once in a while. I will take time to come around and would prefer a calmer household with no small children – they move too fast for me. I enjoy the company of other felines and always come out when my foster family’s cat comes to visit me. My foster mom says I have the deepest purr she has ever heard, I’d really like you to hear it too. If you would like to earn the title of my furrever companion and home, feel free to submit an application by visiting the “Cat Adoption Application” section of our website or by clicking this link: https://www.petsaliveniagara.ca/site/adoption-cat

Story
Meowllo, world. I’m Brie (yes, just like the cheese). I’m a shy, sweet girl who is getting much more comfortable around my foster parents, but I do feel I would do best in a quiet home. Sometimes I'll rub up against them and demand some head scritches, which makes me purr almost instantly. I’ve made two new friends: my foster parents’ cat, Chive, and their dog, Charlie. I was a bit skeptical at first about Charlie, but recently, I've started to sleep near him on the couch and even walk up to sniff him. I love to play and sit in front of the window to watch the leaves fall. It’s so nice being able to admire nature from the indoors. I need a furrever family who is going to continue coaxing me out of my shell while also respecting my boundaries. I have made amazing progress, and with the right people, I can make even more. With my shy personality, I would thrive in a quiet, patient, and loving home- especially one with another cat. If you would like to earn the title of my furrever companion and home, feel free to apply by using the link below or visiting our website! (If you are considering adopting me in a pair, simply state which of my siblings you are interested in on the application!) ALL INQUIRIES INVOLVING ME ARE TO BE EMAILED TO petsalivecats@gmail.com

Story
Minion is a cat who knows what she likes and what she doesn't. She will happily give physical affection to you, but that doesn't mean she would like it back. It's best to let her make the first (and second and every) move on that front. She loves to play and to roll around, showing off her cute tummy. She's 11 years old, but you wouldn't know it based on her activity levels. If you'd like a spunky but sweet lady in your life, Minion is here for you.
