Story
PAUL'S INFO: Paul (on the left) is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FELV/FIV, litter box trained and is microchipped. Best guestimate is that he is approximately 10 years old. He is a gentle cat, sweet and has a tiny little voice. Paul is a "talker," and a playful cat and is happy to play all by himself and throw his toys up in the air, stalk them and bat them around the room. He will make you laugh! He likes to be petted and brushed, and is what we would consider a medium-sized cat. Paul was rescued with his best friend Peter. Patrick (who is also up for adoption), was also part of the family but Patrick is more of a loner. When Paul and Peter were rescued they were extremely bonded and comforted one another. The story of the 3 P's: Paul, Peter, and Patrick were once indoor cats but became homeless after their Dad passed away and the house was sold. All three boys lived outdoors for a year and a half. Even though they had shelter and were fed we were concerned about their safety and health because NJ's winter's are very cold and bitter and sometimes subzero temperatures. Paul has recently been diagnosed as diabetic and is in remission. Coincidentally, his best friend Peter was diagnosed with diabetes a year ago and Peter is also in remission. We know if would take a special person to adopt one or both of these very sweet diabetic boys. If you can't adopt, perhaps you would like to help support their care? Donations can be sent via PayPal or mailed to CATS, P.O. Box 344, Belvidere, NJ 07823. Updated 2/22/22. . If you would like to learn more about Paul, Peter, and Patrick, please call Communities Altering The Strays (CATS) at 908-453-0082. You can fill out the adoption application on our web site. You can also email us at catsincorporated@comcast.net. Updated 2/17/2021..

ABOUT PATRICK: Patrick is approx. 10 years old and is a sturdy, good-sized cat. You can definitely tell that he is a male! Patrick is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FELV/FIV, and is microchipped. Patrick is great with his litter box! He is the first one in the box when it is just scooped out! He is good with cats, but pretty much enjoys is own company and likes watching the other cats interact. He is a bit shy at first with new people and can be a bit reclusive at times but once you pick up a toy to play he's ready to go! He's especially fond of toys that dangle or interactive toys. Patrick is also quite the hunter, having captured two mice in his living quarters! Patrick isn't fond of being held, but he has accepted being petted and brushed once in awhile. He is a gentle cat and may take a bit of time to come out of his shell in a new home, but he has made wonderful progress here with us. He loves to butt heads with Peter and Paul (who were rescued with him) and he sleeps with them. We think he will be fine with another laid-back cat, or as the only cat in a home. The story of the 3 P's: Patrick, Peter, and Paul were once indoor cats but became homeless after their Dad passed away and the house was sold. All three boys lived outdoors for a year and a half. Even though they had shelter and were fed we were concerned about their safety and health because NJ's winter's are very cold and bitter and sometimes subzero temperatures. If you like cats that aren't under your feet, or needing very much attention, then Patrick is the cat for you. He will keep you company and definitely take care of any mice that dare enter his territory! If you would like to donate towards Patrick's care, you can donate through PayPal, or mail your donation to CATS, P.O. Box 344, Belvidere, NJ 07823. Updated 2/22/22. Please contact Communities Altering The Strays (CATS) 908-453-0082 or go to our web site and fill out the adoption application. If you'd like to email us you can do so at catsincorporated@comcast.net. Updated 2/17/2021.

Story
Meet Mamakat COURTESY POST: This sweet, DSH, torbie (MamaKat) had been living outside all her life. She is approx. 4 - 5 years young. She is a TNR cat and was spayed and returned a few years back, but the area is not safe now. She is nice cat and needs a home and can fall victim to any number of dangers - she doesn't belong outside. She had to have a deformed nail clipped, but she is healthy and everything is ok. Her vaccinations have been updated and she will be SNAP tested soon for FELV/FIV. She is located in the Plainfield NJ area. Please contact Joan, her rescuer at 732-857-4388. An alternate contact number is Communities Altering The Strays (CATS) 908-453-0082. Updated 3/02/23

Story
Hecate is a very sociable and loving baby, calm and loves pets and attention. She is playful at times but also loves to laze about. She has a curious nature and loves to engage with all manner of cat toys. She is proven to be completely social with people of all ages and genders, loving and sweet as well as curious with babies and little ones, and an all around darling of a family cat. She does get zoomies from time to time with her sister Halo but it's easily manageable. She is litter trained and non destructive but does have a healthy appetite and a curious nature (she loves to explore cubby holes, nooks and crannies, cabinets, closets, baby strollers... Anywhere and everywhere. She is litter box trained and well adjusted to being an indoor cat. All she needs is love and attention and she will be your very best friend! I have taken to calling her meerkat because she will stand on her hind legs for head rubs!

Story
Hecate is the resident shy girl. We think she may have had a bad experience as a baby because while she is not aggressive to any human or other pet, she is kind of a fraidy-baby and may need some extra patience and attention to get to know and warm up to her new family. She has been known and loves to cuddle with her sister and our fat-cat, Beans. Like her sister Hecate, she has a very curious and playful nature but prefers to interact with her own species above others. The pair do love a good play session with a feather stick or laser pointer as well as treats or wet food, these are all good ways to earn her trust and occasional affection. She too is litter trained and loves to laze about on a cat tree or the back of a plush sofa. Like her sister, she is not destructive and both adapt well to cat scratching posts. She seems to only want to be loved but has not gotten over her scaredy kitten ways. She makes a lovely quiet pet (with the occasional zoomies like any good kitty).
