Story
From Frightened Mama to Cherished Companion: Adopt Sweet Lily! 🏡 😺 This is Lily (dob 4/23/23), a resilient and beautiful dilute tortie mama who deserves the safest, most loving forever home imaginable. Her start in life was heartbreaking: Lily and her tiny kittens were found in abandoned in back yard, tragically taped inside boxes—she in a cardboard box, her babies in a shoe box. She has shown incredible strength and love to survive that ordeal and raise her kittens, who have all since been adopted. 😻 A Quiet Heart Seeking Gentle Love Lily is an absolute gem, but she keeps getting overlooked for one simple reason: she is shy. She won't be the cat to rush the door to greet you. She needs a calm environment and a little time to decompress and trust. BUT, if you offer her a few gentle, slow pets, her true personality shines through! She melts into an adorable love bug who purrs non-stop. She is incredibly lovable, smart, funny, and has a wonderful disposition once she feels safe. 💖 Lily's Amazing Qualities She is shy initially but transforms into an affectionate love bug. She is great with other cats and people, playful, joyful, smart, funny, resilient, affectionate and just a sweetheart. 🤏 Small Hurdle She Overcame: Haws Syndrome Shortly after her rescue, Lily developed a condition called Haws syndrome. What is Haws Syndrome? This is a non-painful condition in cats where the third eyelids (the protective inner membranes) become slightly visible or stick out over the eyes. It's often associated with intestinal distress, parasites, or stress. The good news? Lily received excellent care, and she is totally fine and healthy now! Her eyes are clear, and she's ready for a fresh start. 📣 We Need Your Patience, You Get Her Heart Lily has been through so much. She needs a patient family who understands that the very best relationships often take time to build. Give Lily a quiet corner, a few days of peace, and a gentle hand, and she will reward you with a lifetime of purrs and devotion. 🙏 Please don't let her quiet nature stop you from meeting your soulmate. Choose the cat who needs a little time to bloom, and watch her beautiful personality unfold. Sweet Lily is spayed, UTD on vaccines, snap tested negative, de-wormed and has had flea and tick preventative. ➡️ Ready to give Lily the patient, loving home she deserves? Story
They’re creepy and they’re kooky…wait, actually they’re just CUTE and CUDDLY! Meet the real stars of the show: Uncle Fester (solid black) and Pugsley (white patch on chest). These two brothers are the definition of a bonded pair. Born in late July, these 4-month-old boys were surrendered with their mom, dad and siblings. One by one, they watched their family members go home in carriers with their forever families, waving goodbye, hopeful that they would be going too. Sadly, their time has not yet come. Uncle Fester and Pugsley are still waiting for the family meant for them, the family that knows that two black cats bring double the trouble, double the luck and double the love! Our boys are inseparable soulmates. They rely on each other for comfort and amusement, spending their days grooming one another and sleeping in a cuddle pile. Almost always side-by-side, they are rarely found apart. Because their bond is so strong, they must be adopted together. In addition to being fluffy little goofballs, Pugsley is a mighty hunter (his favorite is the feather wand—he will catch it and he will take it!). The Uncle prefers full-contact wrestling matches with his brother and chasing the laser. Both boys are very food motivated and can demolish a tube treat in 10 seconds flat. In fact, their foster mom says she can't squeeze it fast enough for them! Our babies are both are neutered, UTD on vaccines, dewormed, flea and tick treated, and cat-friendly, as long as your cat is accepting of them. Don't let these boys wonder anymore why they haven't found their forever family or grow up without a home, especially for their very first Christmas. It's their turn! If you are the family meant for them, take ACTion now and go to www.animalscanttalk.org and fill out an adoption application. Don't let them wait one more day to find YOU!

Story
Meet Tux: The Mayor of ACT Tux is more than just a handsome face; he’s a love bug filled with purry goodness, a survivor, and the unofficial greeter of ACT! This dashing boy, in his crisp black-and-white tuxedo, arrived at ACT after a heartbreaking beginning. Born 11/1/21, Tux was found by a kind soul after his feline companion was fatally hit by a car. While his initial rescuer desperately wanted to keep him, strict landlord rules meant this sweetheart had to temporarily relocate to us until his forever family could find him. We've affectionately nicknamed him "The Mayor of ACT" because he embodies pure warmth and welcome, and insists on being included in everything, all the time. He acts like you are the long lost friend he's been missing his whole life. Every person who walks through our doors is met by Tux, who immediately greets them with a charming fall-at-the-feet request for pets and attention. He doesn't just tolerate company—he demands it! Our handsome guy is neutered, UTD on shots, super friendly and turns every day into an adventure. The social butterfly gets along famously with other cats, making him a perfect addition to a multi-cat household, as long as your cats are accepting. Tux is a great cat who deserves a peaceful, loving home where he can put his mayoral duties aside and simply be a cherished member of a family. He’s already been through too much to miss out on the unconditional love he so freely gives. If our special guy is meant to be yours, take ACTion now! Go to www.animalscanttalk.org and fill out an application for Tux.
