Story
Mochi is a stunningly handsome boy with a sweet personality to match. He's all about getting your attention and loves to spend time with his people. Playtime is something Mochi looks forward to, especially the laser light and wand toys. He is a well rounded kitty who will adjust quickly and thrive in any household. He gets along with the other kitties in his foster home and lived with a dog in his previous home. His foster mom says he is the sweetest boy. Mochi was surrendered last November when he needed emergency surgery to treat a severe urinary blockage. Without surgery, Mochi would have died. We knew he was a special guy and deserved a chance. It took some time for him to recover and work out a diet that will prevent any further urinary issues and we can say now that Mochi is more than ready to meet his new family! While we consider Mochi "special needs" this is only because he needs to have prescription diet for the rest of his life. While Mochi gets along well with other cats and dogs, he will need to have special consideration for feeding to be sure he stays on his diet. Mochi is about 3 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. To meet the amazing Mochi, please send an email to Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com.

Story
Gritty is a courtesy post for a private adoption. Please email Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com for more information. From Gritty's family: Gritty is an adult, orange tabby male approximately 8-9 years old. He was a homeless cat from a farm behind my home. He was trapped, neutered and released back into my yard. Gritty was cautious and careful to keep his distance at first but he was always happy to visit for a meal and within about a year he was eating treats from my hand and enjoying brushes and pets. He settled nicely into an indoor/outdoor cat existence; outside during the day patrolling his yard and then inside at night to snuggle next to me in my chair. He took his job as a warm, furry arm rest seriously. He is a lovable, friendly guy and a great companion cat. Sadly, I need to re-home Gritty. Over the years, I fostered homeless cats and despite keeping the fosters separated in separate living areas, Gritty developed cat-agressive behaviors towards my other resident cats. To maintain the peace, Gritty lives in a bedroom separate from my other cats and he no longer has roaming privileges outdoors. He has adjusted well to his circumstances and seems content. But Gritty is a people cat and except for my visits during the day, he is isolated and I worry he isn’t getting the human interaction he craves and needs in order to thrive in his senior years. Gritty is a chatty boy and is an easy cat to care for. He loves to be brushed and enjoys treats, especially Churros, and will chirp when he sees one coming his way. A good placement for Gritty would be as an indoor, companion cat in a single cat household. He has lived with a service dog and had no trouble getting along with her, so we feel a dog would be fine with him. Gritty is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, flea treated, and Feline Leukemia/FIV negative.

Story
This very handsome tabby boy is Ferris. Ferris and his sister Fergie were rescued from living the outside life. Ferris is your typical kitten who loves to play. He will chase a wand toy for as long as you want to play with it. Catnip mice and spring toys are fun too. Ferris enjoys being petted and is fine with being held. He gets along well with the other kitties in his foster home and would love to get adopted with a friend from his foster home or have a resident friendly cat in his new home. Ferris is one of the first kitties to greet his foster mom when she comes into the room. This handsome boy is going to make a great addition to any household. Ferris is about about 9 months old( as of 5/1/25), neutered, up to date on vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV Interested in adopting, please email dlw0311@hotmail.com for an application

This is a courtesy post for a private adoption. Meet Lily and Buddy- A bonded pair or senior sweethearts looking for a loving home. Lily and Buddy are 13 year old siblings, a gentle duo who have spent their whole lives together. They are now waiting for a quiet loving home after the passing of their beloved owners. Lily, white with black spots, is calm and graceful with a special fondness for curling up in cozy spots. Buddy, white with tabby spots, loves attention, especially head scratches and lap time. Both are in good health, up to date on all yearly vaccinations and ready to bring love and comfort to a new family. Both Lily and Buddy are sued to a peaceful, quiet home and would do best in a calm home where someone can dote on them. Whether it's sharing the couch for a movie night or dimply being there for some quiet companionship. With their former owners, both enjoyed getting lots of pets and sleeping in bed with their people at night. Lily and Buddy are more than pets- they're a loyal pair who have lots of love left to give.
