Story
Toki is a feline who appears to have been unceremoniously abandoned from a vehicle right outside my residence. Since that unfortunate event, he has taken refuge on my front porch. Observing his behavior, it became clear that he was accustomed to being an indoor cat, so I welcomed him into my home. Toki is a timid and reserved soul, traits that lead me to believe he would thrive under the care of an owner who is both seasoned and patient. Introducing him to catnip has had a calming effect, to the extent that hes comfortable with receiving belly rubs. My household already includes two cats, and regrettably, im not in a position to provide for Toki's necessary vaccinations and ongoing care.

Story
Looking for a sweet companion kitty? Meet Yennefer! She is shy at first but warms up quickly and lights up the place with her friendly personality. She also has a fun quirk where she walks up to you, does a big stretch forward, then rolls into a flop to show you she's ready for pets. Her foster parent can confirm she has the softest fur. She likes long walks down the hallway, boxes, and has never met a toy she didn't like (bells, wand toys, mice, you name it). Yennefer would do well in a quieter home or with another friendly kitty she can play with and someone who will understand she loves pets and attention but not being held. Bonus: She has a shy friend at the shelter, Hera, and helped Hera come out of her shell. If you'd like to add two sweet purr machines to your life who are not destructive but keep each other company and gently play, consider these two girls!

Story
Zoom is a sweet 15-year young girl. Her owner surrendered her due to medical reasons. She had only known one home her whole life so she was apprehensive at first. With time and lots of love, her sweet personality has come out. After a long day of work, we watch Hells Kitchen on Roku while cuddling. It has become a requirement even if she isn't a fan of the season we are watching. She loves being the center of attention and often falls asleep on my lap. You will find her drooling when she is super content. She came from a home with a dog but initially other animals stressed her out. She is starting to warm up to having cats and a dog sibling. She is a spoiled girl and requires a little wet food every night.

Story
Do you have a dog looking to adopt a gentle, timid, lazy cat? Then Puddin' is the potential BFF for them! The day we brought Puddin' home for fostering she would shake in fear around humans, and run to a high spot if we approached, but would rub against our large breed boxer mix if we left the room. By the time we brought her to a roaming room at HES, 4 weeks later, for adoption meet and greets, she was absolutely in love with our dog. She was constantly seeking attention by stroking her, laying beside her, and following her. Whenever a human entered the room though, the party would break up, but it would resume when we left. So adorable! We do think over time, and it might take a few months, Puddin' will learn to completely trust humans and become more affectionate. Right now though she still sleeps most of the day, and comes out at night; normal for a cat who has been living outside on their own. But in the month she was with us she learned the feeding routine, litter box trained easily, learned her name when called, and no longer shook in fear when approached. She does enjoy feline companions, running and tackling, and learning the routines of the house from her feline friends, remember she is still a juvenile. She is gaining strength and bravery shown in her nightly zoomies, and exploring the home when we have settled down for the night. Warning though, she isn't the most agile cat! When bringing her home highly recommend moving those valuable vases, and other breakable items off the window sills and countertops for a while, just incase she runs in fear to a high spot. She is an absolute klutz! But she really likes her high-hidy spaces. She would really like one of those cool wall-climbing units that allow her to get over your head! Or a really tall cat tower! She has a lot to learn about humans, but she will blossom with the perfect patient human .... with a large lazy dog ;) .

Story
Mars is a super cuddly and friendly cat. He loves to chill on the bed and watch movies and play with his bird wand toy. Him and his sister, Volta were found together when they were a little younger. They look like twins! They would prefer to go to the same home so they can play together. Mars and Volta know their names, come when called, and are trained to sit. They are not used to other dogs, cats or kids. Mars and Volta come with cat trees, tunnels, toys, beds, a year supply of flea and tick treatment, treats, grooming supplies, kennels, litter box and more! Everything they need. They are up to date on shots and perfectly healthy. They have been indoors and outdoors but would need to be kept indoors for an acclimation period before being let out so they get to know their new caretakers and home. If you can envision these two best friends cuddling with you, reach out and let’s set up a meeting!
