Story
Currently located in: Standish, ME! Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: eh, they may be ok with well mannered dogs but are not used to them at all! Good with cats: Yes, as always a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes! Litter box trained: Yes! House trained: Yes! Meet Pumpkin & Spice! Pumpkin and Spice are the cutest little girls! They are extremely affectionate and pretty much velcro themselves to you! These two gals were found abandoned in an apartment complex with no food and no water. A good samaritan contacted us to help and of course we couldn't say no to these adorable, lovable girls! Pumpkin & Spice enjoy time with their humans, getting ALL the love you can give them! Spice will let you know if you have a free hand that you should be petting her! We estimate that they are right about 3 months old. If you think you are the right home for them, please apply to adopt them here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/viewform All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! The adoption fee is $550 for the pair! We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have your new fur-members. Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly if you are interested. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook! For more photos, or information on upcoming adoption events where you can meet them, please go to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/whiskersfund Thank you for helping to save lives!

Story
Currently located in: York, ME! Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: yes, they are good with curious dogs as long as they do not chase them Good with cats: Yes, as always a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes, we think older kids may be better as these two are very scared and timid! Litter box trained: Yes! House trained: Yes! Meet Willow & Oz! Willow & Oz were found abandoned with their family. There was a mom, 2 neonatal babies, a dad, an uncle and 3 kittens. We believe Willow & Oz are a bonded Father/Daughter duo. They all were just left behind in an apartment after the tenants were evicted. They had no access to food or water, had to live in their own waste and clearly they were abused. Willow & Oz are learning how to trust humans again. They are very timid and afraid, but slowly starting to come around. Willow is a bit more brave than her dad, but not very much! They both very much enjoy temptations treats! This father/daughter duo are often found huddled together for comfort. They really rely on each other and are pretty much glued together always! Willow & Oz are going to need time, patiences and an adoptive family willing to give them the time to trust and love again. We estimate that Willow is about 5 months old and Oz is probably around a year old. They surprisingly are house trained and are completely adorable! You can pet them, but they are not excited about being held just yet. Currently located in: Boston, MA! Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: Yes, they do fine with well mannered dogs! Meet Jonsey & Sassy! Jonsey & Sassy met in foster care but you'd never know they were not brother and sister from birth! Oh our little sassy girl! She came to us very afraid and didn’t enjoy company or cuddles but now she loves to curl up in a blanket once her belly is full! She plays with her brother (from another litter) and cuddles with other cats! She’s the sweetest little girl! Jonsey had a rough start to life. He was found by good samaritans. He was left on the side of the road and we assume was hit by a car. He needed emergency surgery as he had a huge gash on his face and he ended up losing an eye. But we have to say... that does NOT slow him down! He has recovered purrfectly and is just an amazing little guy. To know him is to love him! Story
Alfie is a special needs cat who has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). The cerebellum is responsible for coordination and other things. CH can be mild to severe and he is in the moderate range. He has poor coordination and balance, but can walk. He cannot jump or climb. He uses puppy pads for elimination instead of a litter box and does pretty well with that. He usually only goes potty once a day. He is very sweet and loving. Alfie has had seizures in the past and has medication in case he needs it. He has not had one in quite awhile. Because He cannot jump or climb he is a great candidate for an area that you would not want cats climbing all over. He likes to explore, but should not have the run of the house. He needs to be close to the potty pads if he hasn't pottied already that day. If you are still reading, then maybe you would be interested in learning more about CH kitties. Please do some research online before deciding if he is right for you. He has been in foster care all of his life and deserves a home where he doesn't have to compete for attention. Please email me at scratchcats@gmail.com for any questions.

Story
River is 3 years old (DOB 7/8/2020) and we have had him since he was 3 months old! We got him as a 2nd cat to our now 5 year old male tabby. Both are from McKracken Kitty Kat rescue from Pets Mart. Our older male tabby since he was older tolerated River but as River got older, our other cat became aggressive towards River. We’ve worked with the vet on some behavioral strategies and other techniques but our older male tabby continues to be aggressive so we separate them now for about 6 months and we feel this isn’t fair to River and he deserves a home where he isn’t limited to one floor! River is a sweet cat that is great with kids! He isn’t a lap cat but is loving and always in the action! We believe he would do well with other cats and animals! He is chill and enjoys heights.

Story
I adopted this sweet, spunky cat just over 3 years ago--I believe he is about 5 years old. He is very friendly--licking is his love language!--and he enjoys being around children, other cats, and dogs. He loves to cuddle up on a lap, but also loves to play with the other cats in the house. He has mostly been an indoor/outdoor cat and would likely most enjoy that. He is healthy, up-to-date on all shots, and has been neutered. He had an injury over a year ago that required us to remove over half of his tail, so that's why it is cropped. I am about to move into a home with a person that has an extreme allergy to cats and I unfortunately can't take the cats with me.
