Story
Hi, I am Rio and I will steal your heart! I love to jump on my foster's shoulder and go for the occasional ride. I know I am big, so I have been trying to stop doing that unless you invite me up. I am very playful and curious. I like to observe what is going on then come and ask for attention when I see you are ready to give me love. I love to play with crinkle balls and laser pointers. I like to hang out and chase my kitty friends and would likely adapt well to dogs if I am introduced properly. Born 7/18/2016 Trinity, mother of the River Crew litter, (Rio, Frio, Sabine, Brazos, and Pecos), was found lying totally exhausted in the grass between a parking lot and an apartment complex on the west side of Fort Worth near the Trinity river with one of her newborn babies by her side. The remainder of the litter were discovered in a storm drain and reunited. Story
Lola is a little shy until she gets to know you. She is very sweet, likes to be petted. She roams free among a bunch of fosters in a climate-controlled garage and gets along pretty well with them all. She is pretty smart. At feeding time, she jumps into an empty cage and waits her turn, meowing loudly to be next. She wants attention badly, and jumps up in her foster's lap any chance she gets. You can pet and pet, and she doesn’t want to leave. Born 1/27/2018 Lola was the mother of one kitten when found, but she didn’t like him. On the way to being brought to Meowtown, she escaped from the car, but was recaptured the next day. When she was spayed, it was discovered that in that short amount of time, she had gotten pregnant. Story
Jinxy is a little shy until he gets to know you. But he is a sweet boy. He loves to play with toys and his foster brothers and sisters, running up and down stairs. He is a hoarder who has a toy collection that he moves up and down stairs all the time. He is a stubborn boy. If you tell him no, he does it anyway. He love to escape into the back yard, but comes back in on his own after 10 minutes of exploring. Born 3/24/19 Jinxy was found in an apartment complex in Arlington. He was fostered there for months but became fearful of the foster's toddler, so was re-fostered to a group home in Fort Worth. He probably would be fine with older children. Story
Neville was shy at first. Not boisterous like his brothers. He is not afraid of the dogs that race through the laundry room to go outside. The two rat terriers try to kiss him and the one big dog that looks like a wolf steals his toys but he stays cool. He does not hiss back at the spoiled cat on the other side of the laundry room door that hisses and growls at him or the other spoiled cat that has stopped hissing at him. He does not talk or cry for attention as his siblings do, but will look intently at you and ask for and give affection. He is the only sibling that has not rushed the screen door or climbed the laundry shelves. Mellow and happy, he digs the furry worm things with a bell when danced on a kitty fishing pole. Born 6/13/2019 A sweet elderly woman trapped Neville and his four brothers with their feral mother behind her home in the country when they were about 3 months old. They were not completely feral and they listened when she spoke so sweetly to them in their big cage with the fluffy blankets. They made her laugh. When her husband got cancer, she was no longer able to care for the kittens and they were taken in by a foster. If you're interested in me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com

Story
Scamper is a sweet, cuddly girl. As a kitten she loved to cuddle and even let you carry her around like a baby. She is very tender and quiet.. She and her sister Jingle run zoomies late every night, and when tired they love a lap together. She would do best in a home with Jingle. She's sweet and sassy and loves her sister.. They may take a very patient adopter and may hide, probably without children, and maybe only cats. Born 03/26/2020 Scamper was found along with her sister Jingle under a porch as young kittens. When their first foster was unable to keep them any longer, they came to live in a group home in a condo. If you are interested in me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a meeting with my foster home!

Story
Pepper is 11. She has been the sweetest, funniest, sassiest cat & I’ve loved every minute of it! She loves to lay on top of me, & beside me. If I’m sitting, she likes my lap. If she’s cold, she will gently pat the covers until I lift them so she can go underneath. She loves to watch me eat, & she will put her head in the way to check out what I have. She gets a little taste here & there. The last place I want her to go is to a noisy shelter. Our home has always been on the quiet side. She gets nervous when people show up & it gets loud. She loves to stick her head in purses, sniff shoes & rub against them. She’ll let strangers pet her if they are calm. She hasn’t been raised with small children, & they might make her nervous. I will miss her deeply. I want someone to love her as much I do. She is declawed in the front, so she is strictly an indoor cat. The only time she goes outside, is with me on the back porch. She likes to explore. But, she is never left alone. You will love her!

Story
Sheena is a very special cat who has been waiting a very long time to find her forever home. She has a mild heart condition and doesn’t like to be around other animals, which has made her difficult to place. Sheena is about 7 years old now but she’s still very active and playful. She loves her wand toys and laser pointer and spends lots of time looking out the window or climbing her cat tree. Sheena has her own room in her foster home with toys to play with and a window with a view, but what she really wants is a home of her own with a person she doesn’t have to share. Sheena was rescued in 2015 from the Fort Worth shelter while nursing 8 kittens, not all of them hers. She was a good mom but when she was done she (understandably) really wanted her own space. Sheena is very social. She purrs easily, loves to be petted, and even enjoys visits from her foster mom’s young nephews. Sheena does have a temper and gets nippy when she is displeased, but she doesn’t do any real damage. Like many cats, she also dislikes car rides. Sheena has mild cardiomyopathy, meaning a slight thickening of the walls of her heart which causes it to work harder to pump blood. Her condition has been unchanged since it was first discovered and has been fully checked out by a veterinary cardiologist. Sheena isn’t on any medication and has no symptoms from her condition. Her cardiologist thinks she will likely remain stable for years since she has been for so long. It’s recommended that Sheena have blood work done every year to monitor her her condition, but otherwise she lives a very normal life. Sheena is a wonderful and sometimes difficult cat with a lot of personality. She has waited a long time but hasn’t given up hope that someone will take a chance on her. Story
Meet Leigh! She's a sweet, super affectionate little girl who was born in April of 2016. Leigh is a quiet, gentle girl who loves to be petted and will roll around in her foster mom’s lap to be sure she doesn’t miss a spot. In her sillier moments, Leigh likes to chase her tail. She gets along with other cats, though she’ll hide from them if they’re mean to her. Leigh would love a home of her own with windows to look out of and a warm lap to cuddle in. To adopt her please email us at contactbpcr@gmail.com or fill out an application at http://www.buddiesplacecatrescue.org F-JB #BuddiesPlace #CatRescue #Catadoption Updated: 2/20/18

Story
I believe the kittens mom was dumped near my house and she was pregnant at the time. Maggie is about 4 months old, she was fixed September 5th and has been in my house since with her brother. She is shy and timid and takes a while to warm up. In time she will like to be petted and play. I have to dogs, one is old and blind l, she quickly learned he is not a bother, she's still not 100% sure about the other dog but it's only been a week. Besides being fixed she also has a microchip and her rabies shot.
