Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       *** Courtesy Post – Mattie’s adoption is not through the Euless Animal Shelter ***  Mattie is a very sweet white and brown tabby cat.  She is about 5-1/2 years old.  Mattie was rescued from a shelter because she was too frightened to place into adoption.  Mattie is a very unique girl in that she is a pan leukopenia survivor.  Pan leukopenia (FPV, also known as feline distemper) has no prescribed treatment and the survival rate is dismal.  Mattie was lucky in that she was already an adult cat, and that her foster recognized symptoms that can be confused with other diseases.  The good news is that once cured, she will no longer need any treatment, nor can she catch it again, if exposed. With no cure, it took supportive care such as IV Fluid treatments and antibiotics to make her comfortable.  This daily interaction of care made her welcoming to human touch and kindness.  During her treatment she lost her shyness, found out that she loved being touched and petted, and lastly got to spend her days with other kitty playmates once she was no longer contagious..     Mattie’s other supporter was another cat who has since passed away with cancer.  We know that Mattie would prefer the company of another female, or two, hoping that one might be agreeable to become her best friend. This in-door only cat is available through Tall Tails Rescue with an adoption fee of $100. No declawing, please.  Text/Call Cathy to adopt or with questions. 817 994 9388.June 23, 2024, 7:46 pm

In foster care Rachelle became somewhat comfortable around people, but remained un-adoptable.     After 3 months with a different foster, Rachelle decided she really liked the attention people gave her; likes to be petted and play with people, but she isn’t yet keen about being held.  She can be a bit of an alpha cat, so she would be best with another cat that might be larger in size, or older/more confident.   Rachelle is really a sweet, young girl and will make a great addition to a home with just a little patience. She is FeLV/FIV negative. She is available for an adoption fee of $100 with Tall Tails Rescue. Please contact Cathy 817 994 9388 with questions or to adopt. All of our cats are indoor only and no declawing is allowed.June 23, 2024, 7:46 pm

We feel she would enjoy the company of children and possibly even feel relaxed around adult dogs. Like so many cats that were not socialized with people as a kitten, Pixie appreciates your attention and especially neck rubs, however she isn’t comfortable being picked up unless you are doing so to have her sit next to you. This 8-10 year old cat is available for adoption through Tall Tails Rescue for an adoption fee of $100. For questions or to adopt, please call Cathy 817 994 9388. Pixie is indoor only and we do not allow cats to be declawed.June 23, 2024, 7:46 pm

Hard to believe this sweet girl was surrendered with her 2 older kittens Tennessee and Georgia to a small outdoor shelter in South TX where kitties do not stand a chance at getting out unless it’s to rescue. This whole family of beautiful kitties came to us at RT4P and we are sure glad they did because they are not only beautiful but they are loving super social kitties. Story
Sheena is a very special cat who has been waiting a very long time to find her forever home. She has a mild heart condition and doesn’t like to be around other animals, which has made her difficult to place. Sheena is about 7 years old now but she’s still very active and playful. She loves her wand toys and laser pointer and spends lots of time looking out the window or climbing her cat tree. Sheena has her own room in her foster home with toys to play with and a window with a view, but what she really wants is a home of her own with a person she doesn’t have to share. Sheena was rescued in 2015 from the Fort Worth shelter while nursing 8 kittens, not all of them hers. She was a good mom but when she was done she (understandably) really wanted her own space. Sheena is very social. She purrs easily, loves to be petted, and even enjoys visits from her foster mom’s young nephews. Sheena does have a temper and gets nippy when she is displeased, but she doesn’t do any real damage. Like many cats, she also dislikes car rides. Sheena has mild cardiomyopathy, meaning a slight thickening of the walls of her heart which causes it to work harder to pump blood. Her condition has been unchanged since it was first discovered and has been fully checked out by a veterinary cardiologist. Sheena isn’t on any medication and has no symptoms from her condition. Her cardiologist thinks she will likely remain stable for years since she has been for so long. It’s recommended that Sheena have blood work done every year to monitor her her condition, but otherwise she lives a very normal life. Sheena is a wonderful and sometimes difficult cat with a lot of personality. She has waited a long time but hasn’t given up hope that someone will take a chance on her. To adopt her please fill out an application at http://www.buddiesplacecatrescue.org F-JB Updated: 12/4/20

Meet Leigh! She's a sweet, super affectionate little girl who was born in April of 2016. Leigh is a quiet, gentle girl who loves to be petted and will roll around in her foster mom’s lap to be sure she doesn’t miss a spot. In her sillier moments, Leigh likes to chase her tail. She gets along with other cats, though she’ll hide from them if they’re mean to her. Leigh would love a home of her own with windows to look out of and a warm lap to cuddle in.
