Story
SWEET TALKER  DOB 8/24/19 Well hello everyone! I’m Mothra, a smart, gregarious, curious brown tabby "princess" with white tuxedo markings. I was named after a giant flying moth that was a popular "heroic" monster in horror films. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. I’m a “talker” who chirps and trills for everyone when I greet them, and then I plop down to receive a good belly rub. I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids. My siblings Godzilla and Woobee were found with me as orphan kittens during Tropical Storm Imelda. Although I'm available separately, i t  would be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with one of my siblings so we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. If you’re looking for a beautiful, chatty princess who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood, I’m your girl! Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. HOPE ID 20-0216-C008 If you are interested in Mothra and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net, and a volunteer will get back to you. GOOFY, SASSY FELLA  DOB 8/24/19 Howdy everyone! I’m Godzilla, a goofy, sassy, curious, and energetic brown tabby fella who’s proud of my monster-name. I may be a big boy like Godzilla, but I’m a sweet marshmallow at heart. I absolutely LOVE people and the cuddles that we share. I get along great with the other gentle cats in my foster home as well as a service dog who drops by occasionally. I’m accustomed to the calm and quiet of my foster home, so I’d probably do best in a home without chaos and without kids. My sisters Mothra and Woobee were found with me as orphan kittens during Tropical Storm Imelda. My foster mom heard my crying on a driveway, and she says that I’ve continued to let everyone know my opinions ever since. I was the runt of my litter and was bottle-fed by my foster family. Boy did I love my bottle! Those “nursing” sessions ended up being a great time to bond with my humans and probably explain why I’m so sociable with people. The bottle has now been replaced with cat treats, which have probably contributed to my “plus-size.” If you’re looking for a friendly feline companion who’s past the mayhem of kittenhood, I’m your man! Although I'm available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if I could be adopted with one of my sisters. That way we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. HOPE ID 20-0216-C007 If you are interested in Godzilla and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at hope@homelesspets.net, and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
CHARMING BUT SHY  DOB 2/15/21 Hi, I'm Mochi, a sweet black kitty who was found with my daughter Muffin wandering the streets begging for food. A kind lady took us in and is trying to find us forever homes. I'm lucky in that I won't ever have to fight to survive a hardscrabble life of a street-stray ever again. I'm not so lucky in that I contracted FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), probably from a deep bite wound from an intact male cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Being FIV positive means that I should live an average life span as long as special attention is routinely given to my dental health and prompt attention is given to secondary infections of my urinary tract or upper respiratory system.  Please consider adopting me. I promise to enrich your life with my charming ways. HOPE ID 23-0416-G074 If you are interested in Mochi and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. STREET URCHIN TO PAMPERED PET  DOB 4/28/23 Have you ever seen a kitten whose body looks like a canvas that a graffiti artist has started splashing with tiny spots of black paint? Meow! Meow, everyone! I’m Dondi, a sweet and playful fella who’s pure white except for my black toupee and pale smudges of gray on my shoulders, back, and haunches. I’m one of the #graffiti-boys who were all named after graffiti street-artists because our momma Clara birthed us on the mean streets of Houston. The good news is that I’m a little street urchin no longer. No siree! I’ve been babied, cuddled, and kissed ever since I was rescued and started living in my foster home, where I eat yummy culinary delights and sleep on soft down pillows! Yep, I’m truly a pauper-turned-prince! My brothers, Banksy and Zephyr, and I are fascinated by everything in the bathroom. That’s because there’s all kinds of great things there -- toilet paper, paper towels, rugs, humans, toys, shampoo, water, and our favorite, the occasional roach. I can’t describe the fun of rolling ping pong balls and cat spring-toys – anything with curves – along the sides of the bathtub like it’s the perfect skateboard park. And it’s fun to sit on the edge of the tub and play hide-and-seek behind the shower curtain. We’ve destroyed a few shower curtains by batting each other with our little claws, but Foster Meowmy thinks that’s a small price to pay for the hours of enjoyment we have playing peek-a-boo through the clear plastic. I’m particularly bonded to Zephyr. We’re always up to some kind of kitten business – exploring, menacing each other, wrestling. When we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle with Banksy and may even nuzzle with our sweet momma Clara. If you’re looking for hours of entertainment with a handsome fella’s who’s a feast to the eyes, I’m your man! Arrange to meet me today, and consider adopting me with Zephyr (and don’t forget Banksy!) so we can keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. Just think – you can get all your cat-needs met with our little Instacat family. Story
TAKES THE PRIZE FOR SWEET  DOB 8/7/22 Mew! Mew, everyone! I’m Tris, a friendly, confident, and playful bicolor gal who loves to spend time with my Foster Meowmy. I’m called a bi-color because I’m mostly white with gray tabby on my head, back, and tail. My foster meowmy says she's never met a group of kitties as sweet we are, and she considers ME the “star of sweet!” I was rescued by a kind woman who found me and my sisters Lucy, Alice, and Victoria as orphaned kittens when we were so young that we needed to be bottle-fed. Once we were eating on our own, our tenderhearted future Foster Meowmy responded to the plea on the HOPE FaceBook page that we needed someone to foster us until we were adopted. She brought us to our foster home, where we enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with each other until we collapse in a kitten puddle. I’m a happy girl whose life is a repeated cycle of play-sleep-eat. Since we were bottle-fed and familiar with being handled by hoomans, we’ve always been very friendly and sociable – even with strangers. In fact, we come out to meet visitors! Although we haven’t been around kids in our foster home, I’m sure we’d be fine with well-mannered children because we’ve been very comfortable around the Great Pyrenees dog and the other resident cats. These kitties have acted like aunts and uncles who've taught us everything that our momma would've taught us if she'd been around. I hope you’ll arrange to meet me! I promise that you’ll find that I’m perfect! Consider adopting me with my sister Alice. Two is better than one, and we could keep each other company while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 22-1022-E020 If you are interested in Tris and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php .
