Hi, I'm Butch, a former stray. Lucky for me, someone was nice enough to bring me to HAWS to be safe and find a loving home. I can tell you I did have a home once because I love getting scratches and playing with wand toys. I have the distinction of being a long term resident at HAWS and I'm a great ambassador for HAWS' mission "to help animals in need through sheltering and rehoming." There is no time limit for my stay, so I get great care until I find the perfect home. Yes, I like the volunteers and staff ... in fact, I've been told I'm "a favorite" among the cat cuddler volunteers since I'm so sweet. I have lived in the Small Colony Room at HAWS which means I had a cat roommate (or two) as long as I have lived there.  I have enjoyed their company so if you have a resident cat, with a proper introduction, I might be a great addition to your family. I'd be more than happy to be your "one and only" though as well!  The Small Colony Room was needed for a batch of youngsters so I was moved and now I live in one of the cages in the main cat adoption room. I will be honest with you, I am shy at first. It takes me a little time to get comfortable with new people so I'm looking for a patient person. Could it be you? With a heavy heart, we’re looking for the perfect home for Juno, our 12-year-old cat. She’s been with us since she was a kitten and is a sweet, playful girl who loves string toys, catnip, and snuggling in bed during winter. Juno adores our kids—our 9-year-old may be her favorite human! While she’s happy in our home office, she struggles with our two younger cats. Need a companion? Seeking unconditional love? Crave a fuzzy friend to snuggle with? Gucci (M) is your guy! At 5 1/2, he still gets the zoomies, and will play. He loves cuddles and attention. He is very loving, and imprints quickly. Although I have a toddler that Gucci loves, I feel the best home will be a household with school aged kids or no kids as unpredictability can frighten him. He will absolutely flourish with a people who have lots of love and time to give him attention. He used to enjoy going outside on a harness and also enjoyed being outside in his crate. He's a good boy, but I just don't have the time/energy to give him everything he deserves since my circumstances have changed dramatically. One disclaimer: I had another cat (F) too, and sometimes one of them would pee on furniture, clothes, etc. The behavior has stopped since I rehomed my female cat so It may have been because I struggled to keep the litter box clean enough or because they stressed each other out?

We currently have kittens available and would love for you to come visit them and make them a permanent part of your home. You will need to come in and visit us during our Open House hours:  Thursdays from 6:00-9:00pm and Saturdays from 11:00am-4:00pm We do NOT ACCEPT APPLICATIONS ONLINE FOR KITTENS and do not do same day adoptions!
