Story
Are you a Dutch Shepherd fan? Davies is the full package. He’s very smart, energetic, and friendly. He likes to be on the go, and would probably love a secure yard to run around in. He is easily bored, so would love an active family that includes him in all of their fun. Camping, hiking, running – all of these would be fun for him. Anything else you like. Once he’s had his fun, though, he seems to settle pretty nicely. Davies walks politely on a leash, pulling occasionally, so he’ll need a strong person who can handle his size. But he appears to have nice manners passing other dogs and really just likes to sniff and do his own thing. He does it all at a fairly fast pace, so be prepared to get your exercise! Davies appears housetrained and would love to get out of the shelter ASAP.

Story
Meet Daphne! Daphne, a young Female Dutch Shepherd mix, who definitely knows her name.   She has the basic commands of come, sit and lay down, We are working on stay.  At meal time she quietly sits waiting for her bowl.  With time she will not inhale her food thinking someone else will get it.  I can put my hand in her bowl without her being aggressive it.  Loves treats and takes them gently with when put in an open hand.  Daphne is crated at night and during the day while I’m at work.  I put a bone in her crate that is smeared with natural peanut butter as she is content!  I leave the door to her crate open and she goes inside to hang out, safe space. Potty trained- as soon as I let her out of the crate she heads outside and does her business, praising her for good potty outside.  Loves toys of all kinds - her goal is to remove the squeaker.  Heavy duty toys for her is a big plus.  Loves to have her belly rubbed. The leash, if she sees the car she puts the brakes on and hard to move her towards it.  Taking small steps with her wearing the leash and being in the backyard. She is fine with the other dogs she has met, the only barking or sounds from her is when you leave her out of the crate, she’s excited you are there. dult: 1-6 yrs $400.00 Each of our dogs are fully vaccinated to include Bordetella, DHLPP and Rabies. We deworm and microchip each dog as well as spay or neuter. Our adoption process includes an initial conversation about the dog to see if the dog is a good match or if another dog could be a more suitable match. We also will complete a home visit. It should be noted that our adoption counselors know the dogs and can best guide any possible adopter with a suitable match. Please visit https://www.calpaws.org/available-dogs for the adoption application! We are always in need of experienced fosters for the amount of dogs we have coming in. Being a foster is such a rewarding experience. If you are interested please review https://www.calpaws.org/fostering   ##1939262##

Story
This animal is available at the Napa County Shelter Phone: 707-253-4382 PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT NORTH BAY Luna ID 44065   Breed: German Shepherd   Sex: Female   Age: 3 years, 5 months, 1 week   Weight: 47 lbs   Date In: 2/3/2024   Have you ever met a German Shepherd as charming and loyal as Luna? This three-year-old furry ball of happiness will steal your heart with her stunning smile and cheerful personality. She's the perfect addition to any family looking for a new furry friend! Luna loves to go for walks, and she's always eager to learn new commands and tricks. She's also a big fan of playing with most dogs and making new friends. However, we must warn you that Luna has a bit of an obsession with playing, especially with smaller breeds. In her previous home, she had a little brother whom she loved to play with, but he couldn't catch a break because she was always up for a game! So, if you have a small breed or are considering adopting one, be mindful of Luna's playful nature. The Napa County Shelter Erika Gamez Shelter Manager  942 Hartle Court  Napa, CA  94558  Main Phone: 707-253-4382  Main Fax: 707-253-6191  Kelly Tracey, Shelter Supervisor  ktracey@co.napa.ca.usApril 21, 2024, 12:07 am
