Story
Angel came to us from the Antioch Shelter where she was pulled minutes before her deadline. Angel is 7-years-young and has no idea she’s a “senior.” She’s playful, energetic, happy, likes all people, walkies, runs, snacks, the ball, toys, the ball, squeakers, the ball…did we say she likes the ball??? Angel loves to explore the Lily’s dog park, chasing after her Chuck-It and soccer balls, often juggling both at the same time. True to her breed, Angel is a loyal and loving girl, looking for her forever human bond. Angel is looking for a adoption or foster home that can provide the activity, consistency and routine she needs for her energy and enthusiasm.

Despite her double FHO surgery, she hasn't lost her zest. She went to foster to heal and here's what the foster family told us about her: Charlotte is such a sweetie! She got along great with our two small dogs and when meeting other dogs, she just wanted to play with them. (We worked on her being less mouthy during dog playtime.) She knows 'fetch' and 'leave it'. We walked her a lot due to her surgery. She enjoys walks and was comfortable with up to 30-45 minute walks. We did have to watch her closely on walks because she likes to put everything into her mouth! Charlotte loves squeeky toys, meeting people and is crate and house trained. Overall, she's a lovely dog and will make a great addition to her new home.  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgMarch 11, 2026, 10:00 pm

Story
Grace came from Contra Costa County Animal Services, where she was the last dog on the euthanasia list the day she was rescued. She was then brought into my care, where she initially showed signs of significant stress from her shelter experience. With patience, consistency, and a structured routine, Grace has truly come out of her shell.Grace is a very sensitive dog who thrives in a calm, predictable environment. She does not do well with other dogs, likely due to past trauma and her time in the shelter. She would do best in a home with no other pets, where she can feel safe and not have to share her space. She is an active, adventurous companion who loves hiking, swimming, and running alongside a bike. Grace is collar-trained for off-leash work and has a strong bond with her handler.Grace would do best with an experienced owner who understands structure, leadership, and can continue to provide her with the stability she needs to feel safe and confident.
