Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 1 year old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. He is not a fan of cats so no kitties please. Rambo is an amazing pup. He’s a lover, has good energy for walks, loves attention. I adopted him when I had a family and lived on a few acres. A divorce and move to a new town have made it more and more difficult to give him what he needs. He has a bit of an anxious personality when left alone for too long and when he doesn’t get walked regularly. He loved being able to run a fence line and burn energy and now that he doesn’t have that and I’m working 12 hr days I can see it in him that he needs to be with someone that can give him the attention and exercise he needs to be happy. The only time he didn’t get along with another living being was when a strange dog bit him. Outside of that he is actually very docile around new dogs and makes friends quickly. He lived with three other dogs and two kids for a couple of years. Help me find him the loving family he needs again.

From Scooby's Foster Angie, this is what you can expect from life with Scooby. "I am a first-time foster and Scooby has been a very good boy! He is staying for a long weekend and we are on day 3 already. First thing that I noticed about Scooby is that he is a sweetheart and so curious about everything. We have been taking two walks a day which seems to keep him satisfied. He is learning new sounds from cars, trucks, and motor bikes in my neighborhood,, so I worked out some tricks to keep him calm when they are close. He wants to say hi to all the dogs, but he is still learning and needs to build his confidence in this area - a very quick learner though! Scooby loves to smell and investigate everything. He also knows to check in with me when he gets excited, which is progress. I work from home, so his first day he chilled with me all day. No whining of any kind. He just wanted the occasional scratch. Bonus: He is crate trained and goes to bed like a prince! I've shared a lot of photos so you can see how sweet of a boy he is. He cuddles, likes play time, and chills on the back patio like a dream."

Captain is 1 year and 8 months old. I love him very much, but I have come to realize that he is not the right fit for my household. Captain has struggled with socialization since I got him. I have consistently worked with him on becoming more comfortable around people, but he still becomes very nervous and reactive when meeting someone new. He frequently growls and barks at unfamiliar people and has difficulty getting comfortable around new humans, including members of my family. Captain is not a bad dog. He is loving and has many wonderful qualities, but he needs a home that is better suited to his personality and behavioral needs. I am looking for someone who is patient, experienced with dogs who have socialization challenges, and willing to give him the structure, understanding, and continued training he needs. This is a very difficult decision because I genuinely love Captain. I want him to have a home where he feels safe, understood, and can thrive.
