Story
Daxter is a 2 year old Dutch shepherd mix. He's a very sweet boy who enjoys playing in the backyard and long walks, but also loves to curl up on the couch and cuddle for hours. We rescued Dax about a year ago and unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances are having trouble giving him the time he needs to be active and have fun and we feel terrible that we aren't able to let him be as active as he likes. Looking for a new home that will be able to give him the play time and cuddles he deserves

Story
My name is Lil Man aka Deuce. Deuce for two since I'm getting a second chance at life after being in the shelter. My foster Dad says I'm living life to the fullest and trying really hard at forgetting my first life. I'm still shy around some people but my foster has been teaching me to be less fearful of strangers. I would love you to help me with slow introductions when I meet new people. People always say how beautiful my brindle coat is. I'm very smart and will sit and speak for my treats, I am learning to play ball and will jump in the air to get it! I'm still working on the bring it back all the time, every time. But I'm working on it! I get along well with other dogs and I'm a great watch dog. I like to make sure my people are safe and taken care of. I love being outside in the sun and playing with my dog foster siblings or other dogs. I love the yard and think being outside is swell. When I come inside I'm a very good boy and don't get on the couch or jump on people. I do like to give little licks and kisses to the people I feel safe with. I have a zest for life and like to go for walks and runs and to play in the river. I'm potty trained and stay out during the day in the sunshine. I always try to ensure the squirrels know I'm the bosss. At night I like to sleep inside with my pals. Whoever adopts me will have to be a little patient and continue working with me on my shyness at times. New things are scary and I need you to show me it's going to be ok. My perfect home would have a nice, fenced yard, and maybe a doggy door so I can go in and out on my own. I'll probably do better with another dog in the household, I really like friends. I would love someone to play fetch with me or take me to the river and swim. I don't mind baths at all either, but I sure don't like cats! I like to keep my food just for me and don't really like to share. I know basic commands and will sit for a treat, or two. I would love to meet you and your resident dog and make some new friends!

Story
Hershel is a 76 lbs lap dog who loves having something to keep his mind busy! Hershel is a favorite to go out with some of our volunteers to work on his tricks and other training. Hershel knows sit and will come when called - he's eager to keep adding new tricks to his growing repertoire. He enjoys playing tug of war and going on walks, exploring new sights, smells, and sounds. Hershel has been introduced to other dogs at the shelter and seems to lack some understanding of dog body language. He would be a great addition to your next adventure!

Story
This is the sweet boy Pepper. Pepper came to us around a month ago in our front lawn, dehydrated, starving, sick & limping. He seemed to be on the streets a long time, & looked like he was on the verge of death. So of course we decided to rescue him. He was sweet to us & extremely grateful for the help. We fed him, gave him water, bathed him, & took him to the vet to get evaluated. He had no microchip, & after a month of searching for an owner, we think he didn't have one or was dumped by one. Since then his personality has come to life. He's a very sweet boy, good with kids & people, loves attention. However he is quite needy & requires a lot of training. He shouldn't be in a home with smaller animals, not because he tries to kill, but because he likes to chase. Especially cats. We have four in our home so we have to keep them separated. He also can't be left alone in the backyard as he digs to escape. Not neutered, 18 months, has all shots. Trainable, knows sit & stay.

Cooper was surrendered to us on 4/4/2024.  Cooper is a great guy, super active, loves to play ball & run!   His owner has stage 4 cancer and could no longer care for him.  He is around 4 years old, and about 45 lbs.  He is kennell trained and house trained.  He does well with kids, Not OK with cats and has shown some toy and food aggresion towards some dogs.  Cooper will do best in a family where he is the only dog.  He is neutered and UTD on his shots.   https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57447/generic ##2012210##
