Story
Hi, my name is Jaxson. I am soon to turn 2yrs come November 2026. For the last year and a half, all I’ve known is love, patience, free range play time and definitely structure. My eating schedule is two cups twice a day (5am and 4pm). Don’t tell others, but my family does offer human food as a treat sometimes and typically on weekends. I enjoy this very much as it has flavor as opposed to my routine dry food. House and crate trained with basic commands in order. For my future parents I’ve yet to meet, know that I am loyal and protective. It is my nature to guard all corners of a home and to investigate anyone entering our home. I love people but I will let you know if someone is not trustworthy by showing my teeth. I have never attacked anyone as I was trained to follow the order ‘Stand Down’. I also embrace other female dogs, however, when it comes to fellow males I am of competitive nature so it may go a little rough. I wonder what it will be like meeting you for the first time.

Story
Looking for you ride-or-die soulmate-the kind who sticks by your side through every season of life? Kennedy might just be your girl. She's a survivor with a heart of gold. In 2018, Kennedy was rescued from a shelter where she endured Hurricane Harvey in an outdoor cage, facing 140 mph winds. Whatever came before that storm, she's never let it define her. Kennedy is resilient, wise, and full of love. For the past six years, she's been more than a pet, she's been a steady companion, a hiking partner, a sunset-watching sidekick, and a quiet comfort during hard days. She's snuggled through tears, celebrated joyful moments, and made solo walks feel like shared adventures. Kennedy doesn't just live in your home--she lives in your heart. Kennedy's ideal home is peaceful and loving. She's not a fan of chaos or high-energy dogs, and she's grown less tolerant of small or bouncy pups. She'd thrive as your one-and-only or with other big dogs who respect her space and vibe. She is ready for her next chapter, a home where she can be someone's best friend, protector, and partner in quiet joy. If you're looking for a dog who truly sees you, Kennedy is waiting. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Kennedy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.September 21, 2026, 12:02 am

Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Angel   Has one of the best stories since we started our Rescue.   Angel was found by a couple in a very rural area when she was only seven or eight days old and weighed only a pound or two - against all odds she survived as they brought her to their vet and stabilized her until she was six weeks old   The couple who found her love her so much, but they had not intended on keeping her. They just wanted to save her life.   We’re really trying to help Angel get into a new home! She’d be happy to be somebody’s only dog, (although she has lived as a foster with other dogs)   Angel baby photo will be added to this thread - but even now at about 14 months old, she’s not a big dog about 38 pounds full grown.   She’s definitely a mix of a few breeds, but looks so much like a Dutch Shepherd - her coloring, her brindle - We’re sure she has Australian Cattle Dog or Heeler breed mixed in with her; she likes to know who is where in the house. She’s not an active herder but many similarities.    Angel is very praise- driven as well as treat/food motivated. She will not try and take another dog food and isn’t crazy about another dog taking hers   Angel is so sweet, cuddly and lovable - we rarely get dogs where we believe that they will be happy as the only dog, but since that house was how she was the first year of her life we think that would make her the happiest.   If a person or a couple with a large male dog is interested then that would be a good application as well.   Angela is good with being left during the day; her Foster works a few days a week for long hours and Angel knows how to use the doggie door. She’s a quick studying would be really responsive to learning new tricks and commands.   If you have room in your heart and your home for this little girl who barely stayed alive, she is now looking for her forever home and we are trying to help her find the perfect one!   To meet Angel for adoption please complete our application on our website below:   www.dashdog.org   Then TEXT SARA:  214-549-9905   So one of us can check your application and get back to you!  General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. Story
Yota spent a lot of time outside and not being worked with her first year of life, she is now 4 (her birthday is in March) and she is potty trained and crate trained although she’d do best with lots of exercise and stimulation. Shes the sweetest demeanor with dogs of all sizes and kids of all sizes, she needs somewhere she can run and stretch her legs daily and then just a safe place to land at night. She sleeps inside but spends her days outside and in the swimming pool. She would really thrive in a home with someone with experience with the breed, she’s very smart and has a lot of potential but needs consistency and work put into her if that’s the direction you wanna go. Or just a country spot with a big yard and lots of room to stretch her legs. If yota is pulling at your heart please reach out and we can talk more.

Story
She is such a good girl but doesn’t get along with small dogs. She chases the cows. Silva will make a person a great companion she loves to cuddle. We have a lot of cows with calves and can’t have her chasing them. Please take her and love her as we do.
