She enjoys spending time in the park, where she can play with her toys, explore, and take in all the sights and smells around her. Leia is well-behaved and walks nicely on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for leisurely strolls or adventures. After coming to the shelter with her puppies and being a devoted mom, it’s finally Leia’s turn to be the one cared for and loved. She is all ready to find her forever family and fill their lives with joy, affection, and plenty of smiles. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Located in Atlanta, GA Sweet Mouse is a gentle and sensitive girl eagerly searching for her forever home. She thrives on structure and routine and would prefer a calm environment with no small children, as she's easily startled by surprises. Mouse is a quick learner, fully housebroken, and feels safest in her crate, which she uses as her personal safe space. She also understands "place" and responds well to boundaries. Mouse is very comfortable around other dogs, though she's still learning boundaries and can be a little pushy with them at times with zero concept of personal space (with dogs only - not humans… yet). She responds well to fair corrections from other dogs and needs a patient dog in her new home.   Mouse needs an understanding adopter who will give her space and allow her to build trust at her own pace; she's not a lap dog (yet!) and prefers a gentle, slow introduction to new people and situations.

Joey is a sweet boy that loves being with his owner and having his head petted. He loves snuggling on the couch and laying under blankets because he gets cold easily. He does not like being left alone and can be barky as a result. For this reason, he is not ideal in an apartment or condo. He is good with smaller dogs once he acclimates, but is fearful of larger dogs. He can be nervous and requires a calm owner and predictable routines. I adopted Joey when he was six and have been his owner for five years. Even though he is 11 years old, he has a lot of energy, likes to play fetch with small plushies, and likes his daily walks. I recently had to return to working from my office this has not been beneficial to him as I am away for long hours. I feel he would be better served in a home with people around for most of the day.
