He’d be a great addition to a family. Little Magnum was found, abandoned, in a crate, in a field.  He was emaciated but now has recovered beautifully.  He is healthy, happy and resilient. After coming to the shelter with her puppies and being a devoted mom, it’s finally Leia’s turn to be the one cared for and loved. Leia is a 1.5 year old female Feist mix, with a sweet, lovable personality and an adorable smile that shines brightest when she is with you. Leia is well-behaved and walks nicely on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for leisurely strolls or adventures. Leia (along with her son, Yoda) recently enjoyed a short-term foster stay with one of our volunteers, and she was the PERFECT little houseguest! We learned so much about this sweet girl, including that she is a champion snuggler. Above all else, Leia truly savors cuddles with her people, as well as cushy beds and nice soft blankets. She is also a friendly, social pup who played well with the resident dog and politely ignored the cat. She showed amazing “inside” manners, with no aggression eating with 2 other dogs, being good during bath time, and sleeping soundly through the night (especially when curled up right beside you). Best of all, she learned quickly and is well on her way to house-training. Leia also has a fun playful side, and loves to run full blast to play with other dogs. Incredibly, she comes quickly when called, even while playing outside. This 35-pound sweetheart absolutely shined in her foster home, proving that she is more than ready for the real thing. All Leia needs now is a forever family to love her as much as she will love them. Come meet her soon, and see just how perfectly Leia fits right into your heart. Yoda is a 9 month old male Feist mix with the sweetest, most lovable personality. He can be shy when meeting new people, but a few soft treats help him warm up quickly. Yoda is a small-medium sized boy who will likely stay close to his current size, since his mom, Leia, is on the smaller side. This handsome pup is fairly laid back and seems to enjoy the simple things in life … easy neighborhood walks, sniffing around the park, or just relaxing with his favorite humans. He would be a wonderful companion for cozy binge-watching sessions on the couch. Yoda (along with Leia) recently enjoyed a short-term foster stay with one of our volunteers, and he was such a “Good Boy”! His foster dad discovered what a truly special pup Yoda is, including that he was well-mannered inside, LOVES snuggles, and was good with the resident cat. Yoda was friendly with the resident dog, happily enjoying playtime together; and although Yoda showed some dominance, he had no aggression at all. Yoda enjoys playing with toys and savoring the joys of home life such as soft beds and special treats. Plus, he showed that he is a fast learner, eager to please, and well on his way with house-training. Yoda has spent most of his young life in the shelter, often overlooked because he and Leia live in the very last pen, such that many adopters don’t go that far down the row .. he is truly a hidden gem! Overall, Yoda doesn’t ask for much … just a forever family who will give him a loving home and cherish him. This sweet boy thrived in his foster home, proving that he is more than ready for the forever kind of love. In return, Yoda will ALWAYS be grateful and fill your life with endless joy! The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, a 1-year rabies shot, a da2ppv shot (canine distemper/parvo vaccine), heartworm test, deworming and microchip. Molly is an adorable 2 yr old, 17lb TFT or Rat Terrier mix ( she was 11 lbs when we first got her but she is a big fan of food and was likely younger than indicated!) She was surrendered to a local shelter with other dogs. She was terrified in the shelter environment, so we didn’t hesitate to pull her. Molly is a sweet goofy girl, a definite lap dog and does expect full furniture privileges. She LOVES to play with other similar sized energetic dogs. She is looking for a home with another small dog and will not be placed as an only dog! Older dogs may not appreciate her enthusiasm. She is fine with cats and even tries to get them to play. Once she gets to know you, she is the biggest sweetheart, but she is SUPER timid with new people. She needs someone who can give her the time she needs to get used to new people, it helps that she is food motivated! We are seeking a home with no kids. Molly is seeking a home with a SECURELY fenced yard. She is learning how to walk on a leash but will alligator roll to try and get out of going for walk. Molly is a lover; she wants to snuggle and give kisses. If you do not like dog kisses, then Molly is not the dog for you! Molly is VERY very smart and is a possible candidate for agility. Molly is crate trained and housetrained. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, HW tested negative and on prevention. LOCAL INQUIRIES ONLY

Hanna came in with Lucy. Both girls had little contact with the outside world for a year. We think Hanna has Feist in her and of course Chihuahua. We call her the "Big Chihuahua". She's less outgoing then Lucy, but warms up nicely. She'd be fine as an only dog. Hanna is quiet and gentle. She wants attention, but it's been so long since she's had any she's not sure. She's fine with other dogs. Hanna's ready for her forever home, one that will never abandon her again!

Story
My mom became very sick and could no longer take care of me. Family stepped in and asked if Act2Pups would help me and I'm an Act2 pup now. I've finally settled in. I feel safe now and I'm moving forward. I spent the last 5 years sitting right next to my person, being hand fed and gaining a lot of weight. I'm now under 10 lbs and I feel grrrrreat!. A dental with 10 extractions helped me feel better as well. When I came into Act2Pups I could hardly walk on my back leg. I've lost weight and I'm getting exercise so my leg is getting better. I'm doing great with going out to potty which I had to relearn since I hardly went out at all for a long time. I still miss my person. I would so much like to have my very own person(s) and forever home real soon. I'm ready and I hope you are too.
