Manny The Man is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet him, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.Meet Manny the Man, a little Chihuahua with a big heart and an even bigger talent for making himself right at home in yours. Manny is fully house trained and has excellent manners - he`ll even head toward the door when he needs to go out, though he`s just as polite about waiting for a cue. He`s calm, attentive, and listens well, already knowing commands like come, sit, and stay. While he may take a few minutes to settle in a crate, he does great overall, and in fact, his crate is often left open because he no longer needs it.Manny is a true companion dog in every sense of the word. He loves being close to his people and is happiest when he can touch you, especially curled up at the foot of the bed, pressed gently against your leg. He`s wonderfully affectionate without being demanding, rarely barks (only alerting to the doorbell or knocking), and is excellent when left alone. Manny also gets along beautifully with other dogs and is fantastic with cats, happily letting the cat be in charge. He`s very gentle with children as young as four, enjoying pets, treats, and even helping on walks.Out and about, Manny is a polite little walking buddy using a harness, staying nicely by your side or just slightly ahead without pulling. He prefers shorter strolls and tires easily, and he can be a bit tentative on grass, often opting for concrete after doing his business. He enjoys the simple pleasures - chewing on small rawhide sticks, playing gentle fetch with his fluffy toy during short bursts of energy, and keeping life calm and cozy. At about 22 pounds, he`s on a bit of a weight loss journey. If you`re looking for a sweet, steady, and endlessly affectionate man, then Manny the Man truly lives up to his name! We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog`s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don`t know their background.
