Story
Bruno Mars may share a name with a famous performer, but this little Chihuahua has his own kind of star quality. At 4 years old and 20 pounds, Bruno is a handsome boy who is currently carrying a few extra pounds from his previous life, but with some fun exercise and a loving home, he’s already on his way to becoming the sleek little heart-stealer he was meant to be.   Bruno Mars spent the early part of his life as a breeder dog in a home that had far too many Chihuahuas and not nearly enough one-on-one attention. While the environment wasn’t the worst situation imaginable, it certainly wasn’t the life a small, affectionate dog like him deserved. With so many dogs around, there simply wasn’t time for play, attention, or the little joys that make a dog’s life special.  Now that those days are behind him, Bruno is discovering how wonderful life can really be. One of his favorite discoveries has been the game of fetch. This boy absolutely lights up when someone throws his favorite toy. He runs after it with pure joy, proudly brings it back, and waits excitedly for the next throw. His toy is his prized possession and he loves carrying it around like a treasure. It’s hard not to smile watching him enjoy something that was likely never part of his life before.   Fetch is not only Bruno’s favorite game, it’s also helping him get healthier and slimmer while bonding with the people who play with him. Long walks, playtime, and lots of affection are exactly what this sweet boy has been waiting for. And affection is something Bruno Mars has plenty of. True to his charming name, he is quite the little lover boy. Bruno adores people and will happily shower his foster mom with kisses until she gently tells him that’s enough for the moment. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and gets along beautifully with other dogs and even cats.   His foster family says he is an incredibly affectionate, happy little guy who just wants to be someone’s devoted companion.   With a bit more exercise and a family of his own, Bruno Mars is going to blossom into a truly stunning Chihuahua who will fill his home with joy, laughter, and plenty of kisses.   If you’re looking for a playful, loving companion who will happily walk beside you and play fetch for as long as you’re willing to throw the toy, Bruno Mars might be your perfect match.   Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested. Bruno is fostered in Nashville, TN. We also adopt to families in the northeastern region and provide transportation on a certified animal transport van.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
This little Chihuahua Princess is called Giselle.  A lovely and delicate 2 year old 8.5 pound girl that once was part of a hoarding situation in a small town in Middle Tennessee.over 15 Chihuahuas were removed from a home where they were living in horrible conditions and no one was spayed or neutered. We found this precious girl in the mix where she was among so many male Chis, but fortunately she was not pregnant.  It took a little time to gain her trust and confidence that where she was now, was a place of love and safety.   She is such a snuggle bug and starting to blossom into a precious little pocketbook traveler.  She is almost housebroken and she sleeps through the night in the bed with her foster mom and her 3 Yorkies.  Everyone has welcomed her into the dog pack at her foster home and she feels so comfortable flirting with the boys and running in and out of the doggie door to feel the fresh Spring grass under her tiny little princess size feet.  She is a Deerhead Chihuahua and should be no bigger than 9-10 pounds when her good and healthy weight is fully gained.   A true Chihuahua loving home is what she needs.  She will be such a diva Princess that will bring years of great joy to anyone's life.  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 14, 2026, 9:57 pm

Story
“Lightning Strikes Twice…Right Into Your Heart” At just 12 weeks old and a tiny 6 pounds, Flash is already living up to his name—zipping, zooming, and stealing hearts in record time. One minute he’s playfully prancing across the room, the next he’s curled up close, melting into you like he’s always belonged there.       This little Chihuahua boy is full of curiosity and charm. He’s learning all the important puppy things—crate training, a bathroom routine, and even sneaking in some cozy nights sleeping right by your side. Like any baby, he’s still figuring it all out, but his sweet nature makes every step of the journey a joy.   Flash’s story started in a cardboard box outside a hardware store in a small Tennessee town.  A elderly man was handing out puppies lije Halloween candy.  Three were left.  Thanks to a kind rescue couple, 3 puppies went home with them and all 3 are in loving foster homes and looking for the perfect future family. Flash is now safe, adored by his foster family but seeking a forever family who will treasure him.   Flash is expected to stay under 15 pounds and will likely grow into those signature Chihuahua “radar ears” to match his big personality.  He may be small, but his love is anything but.   Flash will be ready to travel from Nashville on April 10th. If you’re ready for a little spark of joy in your life, this tiny bolt of love is waiting for you.  email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 14, 2026, 9:57 pm
