*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Laura would like a home with Connie, and we would be willing to adopt these two to the same home for 1 adoption fee. Meet Laura, a gentle, vigilant explorer who is looking for a patient heart to call her own! This sweet girl is the definition of a "good house guest"—she seems to be fully house-trained with zero accidents when kept on a routine and can be trusted to roam the house freely without any trouble. While she is a skittish girl who stays on high alert, her curiosity always wins out in the end. You’ll often find her peek-a-boo snacking (she absolutely loves to eat but likes to do so in private!) or trotting over to give you a quick, curious sniff and tail wags before darting back to safety. She is a quiet companion who sleeps like a dream in her crate overnight, making her a very peaceful addition to a calm home. Laura is looking for a specific kind of love—the kind that understands great things take time! While she isn't a fan of being held and will stiffen her body if picked up, she is finding her own way to show affection. After only 2 weeks in her foster home, she has already started jumping up on the couch to lounge nearby her foster mom, and once she feels settled, she’ll even roll over for those coveted belly rubs! When life gets a little too loud, she finds comfort in her "safe spot" hiding behind the sofa, but when she’s feeling brave, she’s the ultimate couch potato. Because she is a fast-moving girl who is very hard to catch if she gets loose, she needs a secure environment and an owner who is happy to let her bloom at her own pace. For the patient adopter, the reward of Laura’s hard-earned trust is truly the greatest gift of all!

Story
*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Connie would like a home with Laura, and we would be willing to adopt these two to the same home for 1 adoption fee. Meet Connie, the gentle, silly gal who is ready to find her forever family! Connie is the ultimate "low-maintenance" companion; she seems to be fully house-trained when kept on a routine and can be completely trusted to roam the house freely without any mischief. While she hasn’t quite found her voice yet—we’ve actually never heard her bark—she is always on high alert, curiously observing the world with her soulful eyes. Connie is a bit skittish and runs away from loud noises, but don't let that fool you; she is incredibly social and truly wants to be wherever her people are. In fact, her favorite way to say hello is a submissive "army crawl" across the floor until she reaches you, followed immediately by a roll onto her back for those much-needed belly rubs. When she’s not keeping a watchful eye on things, Connie loves to let loose in the yard with a classic case of the zoomies. She is wonderful with other pups and will politely initiate play if they’re up for it, but she’s also respectful enough to give them space if they’d rather nap. At the end of the day, she is an absolute dream in her crate, sleeping soundly and quietly through the night. While she is currently working on gaining a little weight and growing in her thin coat, she’s a dainty eater who prefers to graze through the day. If you’re looking for a curious, loyal, and incredibly sweet girl to complete your family, Connie is waiting to "army crawl" her way right into your heart!

Story
Meet Norbert! 🐾 Norbert is a 15-pound 4 year old bundle of love with the sweetest little soul. He absolutely adores humans and thrives on attention. If you’re home, he wants to be right by your side. Whether it’s following you from room to room or curling up close on the couch, Norbert is happiest when he’s near his people. Cozy is his love language. If there’s a blanket around, you’ll find him snuggled up on it, perfectly content. He’s doing well with crate time when left alone, but if he knows you’re in the house, he’d much rather be out and close to you. Norbert enjoys playing with his toys and is figuring out games like fetch  but he hasn’t mastered the “bring it back” part just yet, but he’s enthusiastic about trying! His foster mom is continuing to work with him on barking when he hears people outside or sees other dogs. He did well with both dog and cat testing at the shelter, so this may just be excitement that will improve with guidance and consistency. Suspected to be a Chihuahua–Dachshund mix, Norbert is loving, cuddly, and full of personality. He’ll thrive with a family who can continue building his confidence and give him all the affection he so happily returns. If you’re ready for a loyal little shadow and professional blanket snuggler, Norbert is waiting to meet you. 🐶💙

Story
Meet Daisy, your new shadow! 🌼 This precious girl is a 6-to-7-year-old sweetheart who is officially ready to find her forever home. At about 15 pounds, she is the ultimate "velcro dog" and truly thrives when she’s right by your side. She’s essentially a perpetual baby who loves to be doted on; if you’re looking for a personal assistant to sit on your lap and keep you company all through the workday, she is already a professional at it! While she is a calm and devoted companion indoors, she still has a playful spirit and absolutely lives for her daily walks and games of fetch. She is the definition of a "good girl," as she is completely potty trained and has excellent house manners. Because she is so full of love and craves companionship, we are looking for an adopter who has plenty of time to spend with her and will treat her with the tenderness she deserves. She’s currently carrying a few extra "love pounds" and is looking for a dedicated partner to help her stay active and reach a healthier weight. If you have a heart full of love and a lap that’s currently empty, she might just be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
🐾 Thatch - A Loyal Little Shadow with a Big Heart Meet Thatch, a 3-year-old, 24-lb Dachshund/Labrador mix with a sleek dark brown coat and an adorable white patch on his chest — and just enough personality to steal your heart. Thatch is a sensitive, thoughtful guy who likes to take a moment to size up new situations. On leash, he can be reactive toward people, but with patient handling and continued training, he’s making great progress. Give him a minute to warm up and you’ll quickly see his true self: a devoted, affectionate best friend who just wants to be near his people. Thatch absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with another friendly or playful pup to show him the ropes. He enjoys playing with toys — both with humans and his dog friends — and when he gets excited, he does the cutest little prance with both front legs that will make you smile every time. He’s fully potty trained and leash trained, sleeps well in his crate at night and when left alone, and is a dream work-from-home companion, happily lounging nearby while you tackle your day. Thatch would do best in a home: With no kids With another dog who has a calm or playful temperament With adopters who are confident, patient, and committed to slow, thoughtful introductions to new people Thatch likes to know who’s around so he feels safe — and once he does, he becomes an extreme cuddler. He loves building cozy blanket forts, exploring the backyard, rolling in the grass, and soaking up the sun. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who bonds deeply and will reward your patience with endless love, Thatch might just be your perfect match. Apply to adopt Thatch today!
