Story
Meet Tina, the 8-year-old foster pup who's equal parts adorable and quirky! With one ear perpetually perked up like she's always listening for the next adventure (or treat), this sweet girl has quite the personality! Tina's ultimate joys? Cozy naps and those irresistible butt scratches that make her tail wag in pure bliss. Don't let her love for lounging fool you—she's a pro on the leash, ready for relaxed strolls around the block. Around other dogs, she might let out a bark or two to say hello, but if they're laid-back, she's all about peaceful coexistence. Tina shines with kids, thanks to her gentle, easygoing nature, though she has a playful naughty streak—keep those Legos and small plastic toys out of reach, or they might become hers! If you're looking for a loving companion who's low-maintenance yet full of heart, Tina could be your perfect match!

**AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS** Kefka is a shy and sweet boy who can't wait to be your best bud! He could truly be happy in any home as he gets along with other dogs and cats, though he loves being with his people most of all! Kefka seems to be fully house trained and crate trained, sleeping quietly through the night. He rarely barks and has a great personality to match his cutie underbite. This happy lad loves to run around and play in the yard. Kefka also does well riding in the car, so a dog park could be a great option for him. Kefka will make an amazing companion -- make an appointment to find out yourself this weekend!

Who needs an antennae to pick up all the good channels when you've got fabulous ears and the personality and fun style of lots of sitcoms rolled into one brindle body?! Meet Val, the gal who will be famous for her ears and great personality! Val is a Feist mix younger adult, weighing about 36 lbs, who can be a but shy in new situations but settles in quickly and then is super quick to make friends and find fun all around. Val is young and energetic and would love an active family. She is a great size that will likely fit in your lap but can hike like a dog 4x her size. Val would do fine in a home with other dogs, and may find they help to build some confidence in new things, but would be just fine on her own too. Val is channeling all of the yummy stuff a dog should be through those big ole ears. Come and meet this fun ball of Feist! *Weekend Host Feedback: "Val was a fun little ball of energy! Riding in the car was not her favorite, but she eventually laid down and settled. She walks well on a leash, was very focused on the walk, and seemed to understand keeping a loose leash pretty quickly. She was unbothered by passing people or dogs. Only one accident the first night. Inside, she loves playing with toys and will keep herself occupied with stuffed toys and zoomies. She REALLY loves being outside. Val slept in the bed and was a huge snuggler!" **Hiking feedback: "She has puppy energy!  She was very focused on the walk and enjoyed jumping up high on a large fallen log. I think she’d do well with an active family and her petite size is just great". *Sleepover feedback: " Val was excellent about letting us know when she needed to go outside. She is such a love bug and always wants to be near you, whether you’re cooking dinner, relaxing on the couch, or going to sleep. She even slept in the bed with me, and I had absolutely no issues. She would do really well with an active family, as she loved going to the state parks to hike and would definitely enjoy having a backyard to run around in. Val also loves toys! We got her two stuffed toys (one she picked out herself!), and she did a great job keeping herself busy playing with them". *Additional feedback: "She’s playful, active, and incredibly affectionate — she would thrive with an active family who can give her plenty of love, outdoor time, and play. Val is an absolute joy and such a special girl".

Story
Short legged and spicy is the new "in" thing this coming year so Noreen has it all covered and man, she is a cutie patootie! Noreen is a Feist mix adult who weighs about 28 lbs full grow. How is that for a fabulous size? Especially because she is as able to fit into your lap as easily as she is able to hike with the big dogs. Noreen does well with other dogs and would love to have a doggo friend in the home, to follow, play with and pal around next to when you're busy. She is a little shy about new things but warms up super quick and wags her whole little tubular body when she is happy which is a sight to see! Great in her crate and a gal who likes to keep it clean, Noreen is the little package that packs a full punch of cuteness day in and out. Do not miss this one. Sleepover feedback: "Noreen was such a fun girl to have for the weekend. She was busy investigating the toy box and curious about all the things around her. She was great with my dog (50lb/11 year old/pointer-pit mix) and really tried to get her to play! While she was unsuccessful they did take little naps next to each other. Noreen was great on a leash and learned to sit at the door when she was ready to go out to do her business. She's spunky and smart and will make a great companion for someone and would probably love to have another dog around to play with". Weekend Host Feedback: "She quickly found her place between our 45lb Boxer mix & 19lb Fox Terrier with minimal fuss. No cat exposure but she cuddled right up and slept on the lap of our 12 year old son. Noreen has no formal leash training but wants to please and occasionally pulls slightly. She loves to sniff. Rode like an angel in the car seat, no issue around town or to/from SG. She’s clearly house broken, no issues. She appears to be crate trained and found safety in crate when nervous. She went right in to sleep. On Saturday we took Noreen solo to our local small pet and small hardware stores. On Sunday she went solo with me on a 1 mile hike where she loved the sniffs and feared no obstacle. She is shy, however, we saw glimpses of a BIG personality peak through. You’ll see it when her eyes light up and her tail is at full mast, swinging carelessly. Overall, Noreen's a great companion, comfortable snoozing on the couch, or taking a stroll in a small pack or as a solo dog." ...

Story
Meet Fiona – 8 Pounds of Sass, Snuggles, and Pure Heart! Fiona may be tiny, but she has a larger-than-life personality that fills every room she enters. At around 4 years old and weighing just 8 pounds, this Chihuahua has already lived quite the life—but now she’s ready for her next (and best!) chapter: a forever home where she can be adored just as much as she deserves. Once a stray with a patchy coat and an empty belly, Fiona has transformed into a sassy little queen. Fiona is incredibly loving and bonds deeply with her people. She enjoys being close and will gladly cozy up or burrow under blankets with you at every opportunity. She does well with kids and other dogs. Fiona is obedient, devoted, and never met a food item she didn’t love. She adores her soft little toys and will ask to play fetch with them. Fiona has been diagnosed with heart failure, which is likely related to a heartworm infection, and is currently well managed with daily medication. She’s completed heartworm treatment, but needs to take it easy with walks and playtime for a while as her heart is monitored post-treatment. Most dogs do show improved heart function after heartworm treatment + recovery time - but only time will tell! In the meantime, Fiona remains happy, spirited, and full of love. She doesn’t let her diagnosis define her, and she certainly doesn’t want you to treat her any differently—unless you're offering belly rubs or soft blankets, in which case, she’s all in. Fiona's not just a dog—she's a little warrior in a tutu (figuratively, but also possibly literally if you have one), ready to dance her way into your life and heart.

Story
Tito may only weigh 5.5 pounds, but he carries himself like he owns the place. At around 7 years old, he’s a chihuahua with all the classic traits: bold, expressive, energetic, and absolutely certain he deserves attention. Found as a stray with rotted teeth and skin issues from parasites, Tito bounced back with impressive attitude. He’s had a full dental cleaning with 18 extractions and is feeling dramatically better. His skin and sleek brown and white coat are now healed, and his ears are nearly there, too. Otherwise, Tito is healthy and active! Tito is what we’ll lovingly call a "firestarter". At home, he always wants attention, but also on his terms. He loves other pets and tries to initiate play constantly… unless it’s nap time, in which case he expects peace and quiet. Adding to Tito's mystique, he comes off as mellow and reserved outside of the home, whether it be for a vet appointment or socialization. He’s a tiny dog with big character: energetic, social, enigmatic, opinionated and happiest in a home that appreciates the unique allure, and occasional chaos, of chihuahuas. Tito's ideal home has other playful pets and no little kids. If you’re a chi lover who appreciates a dog that knows what he wants, and understands the balance of boundaries and spoiling, Tito will fit right in. Tito doesn’t just want a home — he wants an audience. And honestly? He deserves one.
