I got him from an accident litter we had his mom for a few weeks it was my mother in law dog, and she couldn't take care of her. When we gave her away we found out she was pregnant so we tool one of the pups, she wasn't able to feed them as much so I got him at 4 weeks and took care of him. He has a very good activity level he loves playing with socks. He is now going on 9 months. I want him to go to a nice loving home that gives him the attention he needs.

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Baby - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hi ya everyone, let me introduce myself. My name is Baby and after living my spring and summer years I find myself single and in search of a fur-ever relationship for my fall and winter years. Could that be with YOU?!! I'm around 8 years young and while I'm pretty chill and calm I can still get a little feisty. I love getting into the fray of a good game of chase but a snooze is in order afterwards!! I have blossomed from a scared lil girl into a happy loving gal full of life! I do well with people but would be more comfortable in a home without small kiddos. I also do well with the other pups here in my foster home but would do better in a home with other doggies more my size. I even do well with the resident kitties, wanting them to play with me! I am house trained and will go to my bed on command for naps. I love hanging out in the back yard soaking up the nice warm sunshine but I also love sitting on your lap (my favoritest place) getting all kinds of lovins! I would make a great companion for a person(s) that is retired or that works from home. At only about 8lbs I would be perfect to tag along on your everyday going on's, from co-piloting your errand runs to supervising yard work, I'm your gal!! If you'd love to have a spunky loving lil gal, I sure would love to have the honor of calling you...family! You can fill out my adoption application found at haydudeequine.org and I will do all the rest!!

Story
Hi, I am Rosie and I am super shy. I am about 6 years old, have been with HART since June 2021 and am looking for a home to call my own. I came from a hoarding situation where over 150 doggies just like me were living together in a small house. My ideal space will either be with one of my friends (King is extra snuggly) or in a home with a dog about my size to hang around. I am a pretty easy going gal and am not territorial about my food, toys or treats. I don't mind cats but a doggie friend is a must for me. I am happiest if I get to roam around a yard with a fence as I have rarely been on a leash and just don't like it. I think I could learn to love humans and their attention but I will need time and patience as I am just learning what it is like to be loved. Think you might be the family for me? Please fill out an adoption application NOW at rescueahart.org as I have been waiting way too long for a place to call my own!

Story
Do you want a small dog companion but NOT a lap dog? Do you want a dog who will run from you rather than towards you? Do you want a dog who prefers the company of other dogs over you? Well then I have got the perfect dog for you!! Please give a warm welcome to Clementine! In all seriousness, she is an adorable little girl. Clementine came to Hart in June 2021 and has been in the same foster home ever since. She with so many others was rescued from a hoarding situation in Tennessee. To this day, she still exhibits nervousness around people. For this reason, she is looking for a very special adopter. The adopter will need to be very patient with her and give her ample time to show her brand of affection. While she still runs from me if I try to approach her to pet her, she does make her way over to me at bedtime for lovings. She will even sleep in bed with me and give me some sweet kisses. But when it’s time to get up, she darts away again. I truly can’t explain it but I have learned to accept it. Clementine does great with her doggy friends. She is most comfortable with other dogs. The ideal adopter will have another dog in the home that will groom and “mother” her. She loves having a dog around that she can curl up with!! Also, since she is hard to catch, a fenced in yard would be best for her. Due to the fact that Clementine can be a challenge to catch and she does not come when called, any meet/greets will have to be done at the adopter’s home and only within 25 miles of the Northern Kentucky area. PS Guard your socks. She loves socks (haha)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I'm Popcorn and my personality matches my name. I'm a very outgoing boy and love playing with my kennel mates and friends. I am a little hesitant when I first meet people because I'm not sure if I can trust them. I need a quiet home where I can take my time to build confidence and trust. I'm neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. As you can see, I have a cherry eye. It doesn't bother me and can be surgically fixed. Story
Baby Bat embodies the personality, uniqueness and likeness of the Batman. First, he works alone. No sidekicks or partners. He prefers solitude and his space. Baby Bat has lived with his foster and her dog pack for 5 years, he gets along with them but tolerates them at most. He would do well in a home where he is the only dog, no children, and adults only. Next, Baby Bat is an apex predator. Which means he needs his sleep and food and not to be interrupted or coddled when given either. Baby Bat is not a lap or cuddly dog. Finally, did we mention Baby Bat is a Chihuahua mix? That's a really important detail! Baby Bat is a great and loyal dog seeking a great family to adopt him! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Grandpa Lucky I have the weirdest name. What is that? "Grandpa Lucky. Sounds like I had a lot of luck in my short life, but I am not quite sure of all that. I just look like a Grandpa because I have lived outside most of the time and it is hard on a fella. I am only about 6 years old we think. First off, I was fished out of a river and taken to the city dog pound. I can't tell you how I got into the river, but foster mom suspects I had a little help with that. Well, it was lucky that I got fished out, but then I went to the city pound where I had 3 days before my time was up...literally. But then I got lucky again because foster mom saw me and just had to have me to foster so I got a ticket out of there. I was a pretty skinny dude when she got me, and it wasn't too long before she discovered that I love to eat. She noticed that I was having a little trouble walking on my back legs and that wasn't so good so when we got me checked out, it turns out that I have a little compression of my T4 to T6 vertebrae, whatever that is. Not good. But the vet lady said that nothing needed to be done for that so that was lucky. So, when I get a little tired, I hop like a bunny and the other times when I feel good, I walk like a regular dog. I had some tests done on my blood and I have worms living in my heart of all places. I am told that is not good. But it is lucky for me that foster mommy is giving me the medicines to kill those little varmints over time and not all at once. She said it is easier on me if we do it this way. Plus, it is lucky that I get the medicine in a little bit of tasty food that I love. Did I tell you I like to eat? About that, foster mommy tells me I can't gain too much weight, or it will be too hard on my joints and back and that won't be good. Aren't I lucky to have her to take care of me? The one complaint I have with foster mommy is that she doesn't have enough time to let me sleep in her lap during the day. I would like to have a lap in my new forever home and someone who will love me as much as foster mommy does. Because of the medicines that I am taking to kill the worms in my heart, we are looking for a forever home in the San Antonio area so I wouldn't have to travel so far. Besides having a lap to sleep in during the day, I want to sleep in the bed with you at night. I can't jump off the bed though but being with you all the time is what I want. Then I would really feel lucky! $200 Local adoption fee (in Texas)

Story
Introducing Fawn, a 5-year-old, 8-pound Pomeranian with fur the color of an autumn sunset or a pumpkin spice latte topped with fluffy whipped cream. She's every bit as sweet as she looks! Fawn is a serene and gentle companion who enjoys lounging on the couch with her human friends. She loves snacks, naps, giving kisses, and receiving pets. She's well-behaved in her crate, using her potty pad when needed. Fawn is also making progress with house training and is doing well with going potty outdoors. Her "sisters" are showing her the ropes on how to be a dog. She resides in a foster home with other dogs, cats, and older children, getting along well with everyone. Previously, Fawn spent her entire life in a puppy mill. She never knew the comfort of a home or a family's kindness. The world is still somewhat intimidating for her, but she's adapting day by day. The thought of having people to love her and a family to call her own must have seemed like an unreachable fairytale. We're thrilled that it's time for her happily ever after! Are you the one to complete her story and her heart? Fawn is currently in a foster home in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
