Born around August 4, 2024 , and weighing in at a sturdy 15.9 pounds , Mowie is the definition of a "tough guy with a heart of gold." He was discovered hanging around the guard shack at Randolph AFB just as a major ice storm was rolling in. The kind-hearted guards had been sharing their lunches with him to keep him going, but they knew he needed a warm hearth to survive the freeze. Mowie is a truly great boy who is ready to trade base security for home security. He does have one quirky "occupational hazard": he’s a bit of a serial humper when it comes to other dogs, which hasn't always won him friends at the park. However, he was recently neutered , and we are optimistic that this will help him keep his "enthusiasm" in check as his hormones settle down. Gypsy is still quite skittish and learning to adjust to the everyday noises and activity of life outside the puppy mill, but each day she grows a little braver.
