Buddy is a 5-month-old mixed breed of something cute! He weighs approx. 30 lbs. Buddy is super loving and loves to play with his toys and cuddle with his humans. He loves to run around outside so a fenced yard would be great for an active family that can exercise him. He is potty trained. He has not been exposed to the crate but is young enough to crate-train. He does well with other dogs (and kids) but he gets a little too playful with cats. Finkey would enjoy a home with another doggie to play with but he can be a little territorial at feeding time. Basilisk is just beginning to be exposed to the big, wide world for the first time in his life, and it’s all a bit overwhelming. We’re working on helping him adjust to all the new people and creatures, but we think he would likely prefer to be your one and only spoiled pup. He loves to sit on laps, but most definitely does not want to share that lap with anyone else! Basilisk has gravitated towards foster mom the most, but has decided foster dad is acceptable too. Children are absolutely not his jam, and he has requested a home without them. So far, he has attempted to chomp every new dog he has seen, even though they are all about quadruple his size, so he would also prefer a home without any other dogs. We haven’t yet attempted to introduce him to a cat, but based on his feelings towards kids and dogs, we don’t expect it to go well.    If you’d like to have a single, small dog who loves you and no one else, Basilisk is it! Chimera is a very spunky, fun, intelligent little dog. She has lots of energy and is a bouncy girl who is always thrilled to see you! She prefers to be right by your side while she plays. Once she runs out of energy, she turns into a cuddly lap dog.   Chimera gets along well with cats. She likes other dogs and loves to play with them, but it does take her a few days to warm up to new dog friends. Chimera is nervous around younger children. She would likely do fine with older kids as long as an adult facilitated their introductions and made sure to take things slowly. She has made friends with the 5yr old in her foster home, but it was a process that took several weeks.    Chimera is house and crate trained. She is capable of getting over a 4ft fence and has attempted to dig under fences as well, so she should be supervised in the yard. She will typically want to stay in the yard with her people, but if left unattended, she becomes curious about what is on the other side of the fence. Chimera had never worn a collar or leash before coming to rescue. She is beginning to get the idea, but could still use some practice with going for walks on a leash. April 30, 2024, 2:16 pm
