Current Location: Silver Spring, MD Meet Pinecone 💕 — a tiny 4-month-old, 15-pound handsome boy with a heart that is ready to bloom. 🐾 Pinecone is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Sometimes this little guy gets overwhelmed, especially around big dogs, but with reassurance from his people, his confidence starts to shine. Once he knows he’s safe, Pinecone loves to explore and discover everything around him. He has that classic Chihuahua personality — he wants to be close to his people and would happily be your little shadow! If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be completely devoted to you, Pinecone may be your guy. He is very people-friendly, incredibly sweet, food-motivated, potty trained, and crate trained. Because he can become overstimulated, Pinecone would do best in a calm home with older children and without large dogs. He needs a family who will be patient, give him reassurance when he needs it, and help him build confidence at his own pace. This tiny boy has so much love to give. This little sweetheart was VERY HEAVILY pregnant when she was surrendered to the pound and she delivered five puppies within a few days of her rescue. She was a great mom and once she weaned her pups she tested positive for heartworms. This sweet girl raised her puppies…just completed her heartworm treatment and has been given a clean bill of health…now she’s ready for a great new life of her own! Sundi is a good girl, she’s sweet, good natured, happy, playful and lots of fun! Check out her sweet soulful eyes and those darling little ears that fold down…isn’t she a doll? I know she would thoroughly enjoy having her own family that will love her and include her in their everyday comings and goings. She gets along great with the other dogs, she does fine around the barn cats and she’s fine with people (adults and kids). Still being a youngster herself, she still has a lot of play in her and really enjoys playing the other dogs in the play yard. Sundi is 19 months old (dob 2/20/25) and weighs about 35 pounds at the time of this posting (9/22/26). She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Sundi is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area most weeks and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

If you are looking for a young, frisky pup who loves to play, Roady would be your new best friend. He could be part boxer or Feist mix with his furrowed brow but leans in like a lab, part heeler perhaps? Whatever the mix, Roady does love the car, travels politely, and would thrive with a daily dog park visit. He has a lot of stamina, runs fast, and enjoys chasing balls. He might do really well with agility training. Roady loves his meals and is working on "sit" to wait for them. He is a bit shy on occasion and it will take time for "come" to be second nature. Roady can get distracted outside as all his senses seem to be on alert. He has especially keen hearing and long distance vision, but does not bark often. He is a gentleman in the house as he is totally housebroken! Roady is still young and learning, loving a chew toy of any kind, especially plastic, so he will need heavy monitoring in a new environment for a bit. He takes calm and firm verbal correction well and is learning "off" and "leave it" commands. Having said that, Roady crates easily and enjoys being in and out of bed during the day on his own. He has done well being confined when adults are out for a couple of hours. Roady gets along well with other medium-sized dogs and follows after his foster brother on walks and visits in the yard. He is a great follower and would love another dog or playmate at home. He does very well on leash. If you are looking for a manageable optimistic, playful dog who can content himself without fuss, Roady will make a wonderful companion for the lucky family that chooses him.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
