Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org 🌋🐾 Meet Pacaya — Adventure Enthusiast, Water Lover & Certified Good Girl 🐾🌋 Hi! I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. I’m not wild or frantic — just a well-balanced girl who knows when to go full throttle and when to relax like a pro. 🐾 Pacaya at a Glance: ✔️ ~2 years old, ~40 lbs of happy athletic energy ✔️ Friendly, confident, and full of personality ✔️ Loves hiking, swimming, and climbing ✔️ Great with other dogs ✔️ House trained and well-mannered ✔️ Smart, attentive, and eager to engage with her people A quick note from management: while I adore dogs and humans, cats and chickens are not on my guest list. (Nothing personal — just best to admire them from afar.) I bring joy into every space I enter, communicate with my bright eyes and expressive personality, and truly enjoy being part of a family. I pay attention, listen well, and love being involved in whatever my humans are doing — especially if it ends with a nap under the fan. If you’re searching for an active, loving, adventurous companion who’s equal parts fun and affectionate, I might just be your perfect match. 🌟 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Pacaya lead you into your next great adventure! 🐾💛

Banjo has a high prey drive, so he is not a good fit for a home with cats or small animals.  He is also dog selective, which means he may do well with some dogs but will need thoughtful introductions and the right match. If you are looking for a loyal, cuddly companion with plenty of charm, Banjo is your guy!  Submit an application today!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Meet Susye — A Young Girl Ready for a Home of Her Own Sometimes the best dogs have the hardest beginnings. Susye’s second chance began when a Nashville Fire Department EMT realized that the homeless woman caring for her would not be leaving the hospital. He could not bear the thought of this young dog being left with nowhere to go, so he brought Susye home and made sure she was safe. For the past three months, Susye has been living with her firefighter foster dad and his four dogs. She has been a happy, peaceful addition to the family and has settled into home life beautifully. She is crate trained when needed, loves using the dog door, and enjoys spending time in the fenced backyard. Now fully vetted and spayed, Susye is turning 8 months old this month and is ready for a forever home with the stability she deserves. She weighs 43 pounds. We believe Susye may be a Feist, Rat Terrier, or Jack Russell Terrier mix, possibly with some herding breed influence. She is bright, active, affectionate, and eager to be part of whatever is happening. Like many young herding and terrier mixes, she will do best with regular exercise, engagement, and continued training. Although Susye adores her foster dog siblings, they are all older. Her foster dad cannot help but think she would especially love a home with a younger, playful dog companion who can match her energy and enjoy growing up alongside her. Her firefighter foster dad also works 12-hour shifts, and caring for five dogs has become more than he can reasonably maintain long-term. Susye is loved and safe, but this was always meant to be her stepping stone—not her final destination. She would thrive with a family that can give her companionship, consistency, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to use her smart young mind. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, and another playful dog would be a big bonus. Susye has already experienced more uncertainty than any puppy should. Now she is ready for the part of her story where she belongs somewhere for good. ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2026, 10:32 pm

Story
To learn more about Ozzie, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Meet Ozzie, a spunky Feist mix with a shiny black coat, a playful spirit, and enough enthusiasm to turn every day into an adventure! This handsome youngster is always ready for fun, whether he's zooming around the yard, chasing his dog buddies, or engaging in a friendly wrestling match. If you've been looking for a dog who can keep up with an active lifestyle, Ozzie may be your perfect match. Ozzie is more than just a bundle of energy—he's also a smart boy with great house manners. He appears to be both house-trained and crate-trained (though we can’t guarantee it), rides quietly in a crate during car trips, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He even shares space peacefully with cats, preferring to mind his own business rather than stir up trouble. Ozzie can be a little cautious when meeting new people and may announce their arrival with a bark, but once he realizes there's nothing to worry about, he's quick to settle down. Because he's still a young dog with plenty of puppy energy, Ozzie would thrive in a home that can give him lots of opportunities to play, exercise, and explore. An energetic canine companion would be a huge bonus—he absolutely loves having a four-legged friend to romp around with. If you're looking for a cheerful sidekick who will keep you smiling and make every day a little more exciting, Ozzie is ready to meet you!

Story
Meet Nextel, affectionately known as Nexi, a sweet senior gentleman who believes life is best enjoyed under a cozy blanket and curled up next to his favorite people. In fact, if you can`t find him, don`t panic -just check the nearest blanket. This clever little guy has mastered the art of covering himself up and creating the perfect snuggle cave!Nexi is:?? Housebroken?? Crate trained ?? Leash trained but prefers to wander and explore in a fenced yard?? Lap trained (his favorite certification!)?? Great with other dogs?? A champion cuddler?? Not: cat or kid-testedNexi would also love a home where someone is around most of the time. He`s happiest with his people nearby and prefers not to be left alone for long periods. He knows a few basic commands, though he appreciates gentle encouragement and praise. After all, at 12 years old, he`s earned the right to move at his own adorable pace.Nexi does have a heart condition that is well managed with medication, and due to his age and medical needs, his veterinarian advised against neutering. What Nexi is really searching for is simple: a soft blanket, a warm lap, and a family who will cherish every cuddle and every sweet senior moment. If your home could use a little extra love - and a hidden dog under your throw blanket - Nexi may be the perfect match. If you’d like to take Nexi home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $150 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
Hi! I got TinkerBell in 2021 her birthday is May 9th! Sadly my mom is unwilling to take care of TinkerBell While I’m away at college, I’m an upcoming junior, I came home and weekends and breaks just to take care of her, even still my mom is no longer willing to take care of her while I’m away. I’ve came back with her cage not cleaned or food not filled a couple of time. She doesn’t like Dogs bigger than her, shes afraid of them abd will run and hide. Dogs similar to her size are fine and she’s comfortable with. She is car sick.
