Story
Rocket Man is a dog with a strong personality. He is short and stocky, making him stand out among other dogs. Rocket Man enjoys being in control and likes to be the boss of the pack. He craves attention and loves being around people, always seeking out affection and playtime. However, his assertiveness can sometimes lead to him bullying less dominant or submissive dogs. Despite this behavior, Rocket Man's loving nature and need for human companionship make him an ideal companion for an active and experienced dog owner. He enjoys running around with other dogs at the dog park. With proper training and socialization, Rocket Man can become a loyal and loving pet who will always be by his owner's side. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Sweet Pea is about 8 months old and is a very sweet little girl looking for her forever home. The couple that brought her in said they found her by the hotel where they were staying. She was so very sweet they didn't want anything to happen to her, so they turned her in. She loves her little bed. She has been fully vetted and is up to date on all shots, spayed and microchipped. She is all set to go home to her new family. If you are interested in adopting Sweet Pea, please click on the big black button that says, "Ask about me" and we will send you an application. This bundle of cuteness came from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. The shelter is a scary place for a little puppy, fortunately she has been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers and landed a nice foster home. Noelle is now ready to find her forever home. Could that be with you? Noelle is very sweet and great with other dogs. She can be a tad shy at first but warms up very quickly.  She will need another pup in the home to help her with her confidence and a fenced in back yard.  If you are looking to add a playmate for your current dog, she would be an amazing addition!  At her young age, Noelle is in her prime for training and socialization too. If you're looking for a companion who will love you unconditionally and bring a sense of joy and companionship to your home, Noelle is the perfect choice. She's waiting to share her love and sweetness with a family that will cherish her as much as she will them. Submit an application today and change this very deserving girl's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Story
https://foha.org/pet/milo2024/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Milo (pronounced MEE-LO)—a small dog with a big heart! I’m a sweet, speedy little guy who loves both playful adventures and peaceful moments. I have a cute routine of carrying a chew toy in my mouth when I’m getting ready for walks. I enjoy spending time outside soaking up the sun and doing my lightning-fast zoomies. After a fun outing, I’m the perfect co-pilot who curls up and naps in the car. I’m a bit timid at first but eager to connect with my people. I’ve thrived in a home environment and have done well living with other dogs, though I do appreciate breaks from them sometimes. I’m loyal, intelligent, and affectionate—just the right companion for active yet cozy days. And make sure to scroll down past my bio to see all the AMAZING videos my foster mom has posted! You can really see how much I thrive in a home, and maybe it’ll help you see how I could be in your home and heart! HOW AM I WITH DOGS: Good with dogs with proper introductions. I’ve lived with multiple dogs and did great, but I may need patience and breaks from them occasionally. HOW AM I WITH CATS: I am a bit too interested in cats and would do best in a home without feline friends. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Unknown. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Sit, stay, come. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I have good house manners! THINGS I LIKE: Chew toys, sunny yard time, car rides, cuddling, zoomies. THINGS I DISLIKE: Storms, sudden dog encounters in public places. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS – https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet. My adoption fee has been covered by a generous donor!!

Story
Meet Lil Bit – A Devoted, Gentle Companion 🐾 Lil Bit is a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a calm, loyal spirit. She’s the kind of dog who forms a deep bond with her person and will happily follow you from room to room, always wanting to be close by your side. This sweet girl has wonderful manners and an easygoing personality. She knows “sit,” waits patiently to be harnessed and leashed, and walks beautifully on a leash. Lil Bit is also very polite when meeting new people—she happily greets adults and respectful children with a gentle, friendly demeanor. At her recent adoption event, Lil Bit truly shined. Despite the busy environment, crowds, and loud music, she remained calm, quiet, and well-behaved—never barking and content to relax in a lap or lounge in the shade. She also did great around other dogs, showing she can comfortably coexist. Lil Bit is currently living with another dog and has no problem sharing space—even cozying up together for naps. She’s also not destructive and settles nicely in the home, rotating between relaxing with her people and her doggy companion. She appears to be trained on puppy pads. While transitioning to a new routine may take patience, she’s a smart girl and eager to learn. She eats her meals in her crate and gets adorably excited at mealtime! At night, she may bark a bit when settling in, but she’s otherwise a quiet companion. Lil Bit prefers to keep all four paws on the ground and isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she absolutely loves gentle pets and affection. While she tolerates toddlers, she is more comfortable with calm, respectful interactions, so she would thrive in a home with older children who understand how to interact gently with a small dog. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who will stay close to your side and bring a peaceful presence to your home, Lil Bit may be your perfect match.

Current Location: Stevensville, MD Hello! My name is Ladybug, but my foster family calls me Lady because I'm such a regal girl. I know you've heard of a turnkey house, but have you heard of a turnkey dog? Because that's what I am: I will be soooo easy for my new family! I'm great with other dogs and with kids, and I have completely ignored the cats in my foster home. I also appear to be pee pad trained already! If that doesn't win you over, my wonderful personality surely will. My foster family says I'm an absolute treasure! I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started!
