Story
Scooter is a goofy, fluffy, happy little dude who loves other dogs and wants everyone to play with him. At six months old and 36 pounds, he’s very much a puppy—energetic, social, and still figuring out his coordination. His favorite activities are running around the yard with the other dogs, carrying a plush toy around, and trying to drink the water from the hose or shower. He’s truly a character.
Scooter is mostly house trained and does well with routine and supervision. Overnight, he sleeps quietly in his foster’s room and settles without issues. During the day, he is crated when his foster isn’t home. He may bark a bit in the crate at first but settles with practice.
He does well with small and large dogs. He would absolutely thrive with another playful dog who enjoys a buddy with some comedic chaos energy.
He has been around a cat, and was appropriately curious and respectful.
Scooter is on the hunt for an active family, ready for all things crazy energy and the chaos and laughter that comes with a young pup. If you've been searching for a fun loving, happy, go lucky, ball of fur, with a big heart and full of endless joy, Scooter could be the one!

PLEASE READ:
• If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.
• All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.
• Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.
Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.
Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
