He is very loving and a laid-back big boy; each day before he is put down for a nap, he is the first to snuggle right up to his human and put his right paw on her leg. He is very smart, loving and social with people and dogs. He loves the pool but just but cautious about what exactly water is all about, personal attention and companionship from his littermates and humans. His foster mom tells us that he can be independent and can take the role of a very gentle alpha when the other two pups need him to slow their play time down. At night, foster mom always takes a moment to talk to him and he rolls over for a belly run. He loves his siblings and will snuggle with his brother Red between the pen sections, comes when he is called, and he knows how to sit for food. Foster mom does think he definitely loves his people. He is trained to use the litter box and is working on his leash training. Green Jeans has a lot to offer a loving family. This guy is very gentle and enjoys his time with his humans. He is very loving, attentive, and follows foster mom all over! He is a puppy and has lots of energy, but can quickly settle down and become a very large and loving lap dog! Green Jeans is best described as a happy go lucky guy, eager to run, play and be with his siblings. He is a polite, learns quickly and a real loving little boy. If you’re looking for an easy-going family dog, then he is right for you. Nothing would be better than curling up with him at the end of the day. Flat Coat Retrievers are comfort dogs. A comfort dog is a type of therapy dog that provides comfort to individuals who have experienced a traumatic or tragic event. They are generally categorized as support animals and thus have different legal protections. Comfort dogs interact with people in a medical setting such as a hospital, rehabilitation center, school, or nursing home. They are also known as crisis response dogs. Blue was recently dropped off at a county shelter and that person's loss is another family's gain because this boy is as sweet and smart as can be! Luckily for him, a wonderful foster stepped up and he is getting to experience the fun, loving, kind side of life and is now ready to find his forever home! Blue is about a year and a half old and 51lbs. He has become a HUGE fan of getting smooches from his family, loves to go for walks with the pack of pups at the house, "mothers" the foster puppies and likes to play with the bigger dogs. Between his incredible foster family and his foster siblings, Blue is learning more everyday. He is good on a leash, helps feed the feral cats near by and even helps feed the chickens that live there! In the house he likes to find a dog bed to curl up on and nap. While he would be a good only dog soaking up a family's love, he does seem to gain confidence from other dogs, so would also make a great second dog. Story
Tatum is a goofy energetic dog. He is 2 1/2 years old and smart. He would love to be in a home where his people have time to spend playing with him and going for walks. He is up to date on all vaccines and his records will be provided. He loves playing with dog toys, especially a soccer ball. He is very good in the house, does not climb on furniture and is not destructive. He gets along well with the cats in our home. He’s been through a board and train program which helped him learn better manners including leash walking as well as the “place” command. DNA testing done on Tatum showed him to be 42% Labrador Retriever, 27% Akita, 8% Australian Shepherd, 8% Beagle, 6% Boxer, 5% American Staffordshire Terrier and 4% Bohemian Shepherd. He truly is a mixed breed!
