Story
River is a TSBR Alum from 2019 who recently lost his dad and is looking for a new place to call his own.  He has matured into just the sweetest gentleman. He is friends with dogs, cats, and loves his humans. He is a true “Flat Coated Retriever”. Enjoying being around everyone and so enjoys  some loving from everyone he meets.  River hardly ever barks except to announce he wants to come back in from an outside adventure or sun puddle.   He is well past those youthful shenanigans and won’t be caught jumping on guests at greeting time.  A well mannered retriever with a sparkle of fun to run and play. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 24, 2025, 4:53 pm

Story
Get ready to meet the ultimate fun-loving buddy—Bojangles, or “Bo” for short! This charming 14-month-old, 54-pound fluffy retriever mix is here to steal your heart.   Bo is all about the good life! He’s a fetch champion and can often be found basking in the sun on the tanning ledge of his foster family’s pool—talk about a doggie daydream! Bo needs another sweet dog to play with in and keep him company when his people are away. An owner home more than not is preferred. He asked that we include his dream of having his own pool with a tanning ledge, too.  What’s truly special about Bo is his versatility. He can be your playful sidekick one minute and a chill couch potato the next! He’s the perfect companion for a loving family, and he’s dreaming of a forever home (with a pool and a tanning ledge to call his own).    To meet Bo in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level, and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2319606##

Jackson is a very sweet boy however he needs more than our family is able to give him at the moment. He needs to have a yard to roam and play in and frequent walks to get out his energy. He is 8 months old and knows all his commands (sit, lay down, wait, shake). He’s a very smart boy and needs someone that is willing to take the time to help him with his high-energy needs.

Story
Konnichiwa from Tokyo – the Gentle Genius with a Lap-Loving Heart!Tokyo is calm, cool, and irresistibly cuddly—just like the cozy corner café in a bustling city. This sweet boy is as mellow as they come. He’ll trot right over to the softest, comfiest spot in the room (bonus points if it’s your lap!), roll onto his back, and offer you his belly with a gentle hug. Tokyo isn’t in a rush—he’s here to soak up love, snuggles, and all the quiet moments in between. What makes him even more special? He’s incredibly observant and seems wise beyond his weeks. He’ll look into your eyes like he’s reading your mind, making you feel instantly understood. Smart, soulful, and snuggly—Tokyo is the total package.Tokyo and his 10 siblings were born on May 3, 2025, and rescued from a heartbreaking situation—starving, covered in fleas, and full of parasites on a property overwhelmed with dogs. Neither parent was on-site when they were found, so their breed mix remains a mystery—but they’re 100% love and resilience. Now safe and thriving in a foster home in Fort Worth, Texas, Tokyo is looking for a forever family ready to shower him with affection, provide gentle training, and make sure he always has a soft spot to land—preferably right next to you.If you’re searching for a laid-back cuddle buddy with soulful eyes and a heart full of love, Tokyo is ready to be your forever friend. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location).
