Despite her initial condition, she took wonderful care of her babies, and they have all found their forever families. Now, its Els turn, and she is soaking up the security and love in her foster home.Els early life experiences left her very uncertain of humans, despite her obvious desire to be loved and cherished. She is gentle, loves to run and play outside, and sports her colorful fashion statements with pride. Sudden movements and loud voices still send her searching for a hiding place, but she comes out with reassurances when the situation calms. El walks easily on a leash, although she still needs reassurance around the sounds of fast cars. She is potty and crate trained, and she learns very quickly what is expected of her. While Els fears continue to be present, her courage and resilience are even more so. She loves cuddles, seeks out her humans for reassurances, and revels in playing dog outside with her foster siblings.El will do best in a more predictable household where she has time to adjust to changes. She is dog and cat friendly, and she absolutely needs to be in a family with another dog. She needs someone who will let her continue to learn that humans can be trusted and that outstretched hands offer treats and tickles not hurt and harm.OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
