The Story of a Pawsitively Perfect Pup
Dolly is a maybe 6-7mo, 52lb, spayed (9/24), microchipped, vaccinated, HW-, furry ball of fun! Dolly has an outgoing personality with a good mix of independence and affection. Dolly was found as a stray, but seemed well taken care of and loved until she found herself on the streets. Dolly is quick to drop and give you her belly for her favorite kind of tummy scratches and she instantly captures your heart!
Dolly LOVES to play with our other dogs and is always eager to make new friends. She’s confident and enjoys an active, physical play style. Her playful spirit and calm demeanor make her an ideal companion for families, singles, or anyone looking for a loyal friend. Dolly is house-trained, kennel/crate trained, master of the dog door, calm car passenger, can climb stairs, knows basic commands; sit, load-up, kennel, and is learning more each day, demonstrating her intelligence and eagerness to please. Dolly is adventurous and happy to play independently or with her dog siblings. Squeaky toys and chew toys are her favorites and she’s awesome at playing fetch! She’s an inside dog, but enjoys a good amount of outdoor time, watching the golfers and squirrels, or exploring the backyard. She’s a master at squeaker removals and she’s a heavy chewer. She’s getting better about making wise choices regarding what to chew. She’s not destructive and doesn’t show any signs of separation anxiety. Dolly seems unfazed by storms, loud noises or the vacuum cleaner. She doesn’t exhibit any signs of aggression over food, toys, or people. We’re continuing to work on leash walking. Dolly isn’t a big fan of baths, but she’ll tolerate them. She draws the line at the blow dryer, preferring to air dry. She rarely barks but typically barks appropriately and has a serious bark to deter strangers. Dolly is a quiet and considerate sleeper, and is accustomed to sleeping with you in bed, but she’s very influenced by our other (large) dogs and will likely go along with other arrangements, whatever the other dogs are doing.
In addition to being wicked smart and lots of fun, Dolly is completely adorable and people are drawn to her! Dolly is a good eater, she’s currently on Purina Pro Plan Puppy, Lamb and Rice formula. She is healthy and takes no meds other than preventative.OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
