Story
Sweet isn’t the right word. She loves well. She’s most comfortable with female humans. My 9 and 13 year olds are her favorite humans and she listens to the 9 year old best. She has become quite protective and I would like to fill you in with great detail to insure she’s placed permanently. She came to me very young but, came from an abusive community and was very attached to her mom. The plan was for me to foster until she was able to take her back. That hasn’t worked out and now, I’m in a position that she has become a liability or codependent might be another way of putting it. We are very attached and this will be a challenging separating. For that reason, I’m also late asking… because I didn’t want to. So, here we are… in need of speedy placement of excellent quality in a timely manner. Not asking for much. Just perfect and patient. She deserves it.

Story
Rona – ID #18159 – Kennel #22 Arrived April 11th – Foxhound Mix – Tri Color – Female – 6 years old – 44 lbs – Spayed – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative Meet Rona — a beautiful tri color Foxhound mix with the sweetest face and the most gentle, soulful eyes. This lovely 6-year-old girl arrived at the shelter on April 11th under circumstances that leave more questions than answers — the microchip she came in with did not match the name of the person who surrendered her, and since arriving she has been quietly trying to make sense of a world that has been turned upside down. She deserves answers she will never get, and a fresh start she absolutely has earned.   Despite everything she has been through Rona knows how to sit and lay down, is house trained, and is wonderful with children — a gentle, well mannered girl who clearly has so much love to give. She has been quiet and a little scared since arriving, and it is impossible not to want to scoop her up and tell her that everything is going to be okay — because with the right person, it absolutely will be.   Rona is already spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on all of her vaccines — healthy and completely ready for the loving home she so deeply deserves. At 6 years old she is a mature, settled girl with so many beautiful years still ahead of her, and every single one of those years deserves to be spent feeling safe, cherished, and loved unconditionally.   If you have room in your heart and your home for a sweet, gentle, and deeply deserving girl who simply needs someone to believe in her, please come meet Rona in Kennel #22. She has already been through too much — all she is asking for now is a place to finally feel at home. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Meet Willy! Willy is a bright and lovable pup who came to us to work on his reactivity toward men and to improve his overall obedience. While he was initially unsure and reactive in certain situations, Willy has made impressive progress through consistent training, structure, and positive reinforcement. With time and trust, Willy has shown his sweet and eager-to-please nature. He's learned to stay calm in new environments, respond to commands reliably, and build confidence around the people who once made him nervous. Willy is a great example of how patience, guidance, and the right support can help a dog grow into their best self. We're so proud of how far he's come!   ##2499010##

Story
Levi is a walking bundle of joy with a wagging tail and a heart made of marshmallows. He's incredibly sweet, endlessly friendly, and absolutely loves children - tiny humans are some of his favorite people! Levi lives for affection (the more cuddles, the better), and he'll happily soak up all the pets you can give! When he's not charming everyone he meets, you'll find him joyfully tossing his toys around or inviting you to play. Levi's superpower? Making people smile without even trying. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2026, 2:48 pm

Story
Meet Kalina   Kalina is a beautiful, 6-year-old ,Bloodhound mix, girl who weighs about 80 pounds of pure heart and quiet hope.   This lovely lady didn’t have the easiest start in life. Her origin: a backyard breeder, so Kalina missed out on socialization and gentle handling every dog deserves. Because of that, she can be quite shy at first, especially around new people and in new places. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines through: a sweet, goofy, playful soul.   Kalina has the most velvety, deep red, soft coat and the deepest, most soulful eyes that seem to understand everything. She’s already house trained and is incredibly loyal once she bonds with you. Because of her past, Kalina would do best in a home with a patient, understanding adopter who’s ready to give her the time, consistency, and gentle love she needs to blossom. She would especially thrive with a companion dog to help boost her confidence and give her a built-in playmate and friend.   If you have a calm, loving home and are willing to be Kalina’s safe place, she will repay you with the kind of deep, unwavering loyalty and quiet joy that only a Bloodhound mix can offer. She’s ready to leave her prior life behind and write a beautiful new chapter with someone who sees how special she is.
