Story
This is Boomer, a 5 y/o male Hound mix. He is a very gentle and calm dog. I’m looking for someone who would want to adopt him and his brother Benny. They have been together since they were 6 months old and do everything together. You could say Benny is Boomers support animal lol. Boomer has anxiety sometimes and Benny helps keep him calm. I am willing to separate them if need be. As long as it’s to a good home. I know he will make someone a happy companion.

Story
A SWEET & PLAYFUL FRIEND:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 38 lbs. Hi, my name’s Marshall!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I am spending my days soaking up the love and attention from the volunteers here.  I’ve heard them say that I will be getting a new home with a family to love.  That sure makes me happy!  I’m ready for my loving home, so plan to come meet me soon!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I recently met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so – if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.    • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a sweet young guy who still has a good bit of puppy energy in me.  Though I can be an excited little ankle nibbler on my walks right now, I was calm and wonderful for my bath.  The photographer said I was ‘happy and handsome’ for my photo session.  Check out my pics, and I bet you will agree!  I can’t wait to be someone’s affectionate and playful companion! / Energy level: 4-6.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’ command and I look forward to learning more.  Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs!  I’m treat motivated, so learning some additional commands and polishing up on my leash walking skills should be fun – and yummy! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too.     • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to be with my people and will ‘thank’ you with sweet kisses.  Toys are awesome, and I am ready to play!  Keep a treat or two handy, and you will get my undivided attention.  Yum! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a great home with a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  May 19, 2026, 1:03 pm

Story
YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 32 lbs. Hi, I’m Shellie!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I’m sure happy to be here and thankful for a second chance at living a great life!  I’m ready to find my new family and have some fun as well as show them what a great companion I’ll be. I was adopted for a few days, but it wasn’t a good fit as I did not like the cat and I need to work on my food and toy possessiveness which I’m doing now with my trainer.  I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and did not like the females, but did well with the males, so if you have a male dog at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I met a cat in a temporary home, and we learned that I should not live with cats due to my strong prey drive. (No cats were harmed in this discovery.) / There was an 11-year-old in my foster home, and I did great with them (they knew not to take things away from me), but more mature kids - aged 15+ that will follow the rules that work for me would be best, let’s meet. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My former foster described me as a loving friend who gave lots of kisses and was also a bit ‘mouthy’ like a puppy! I was delightful for the Mostly Mutts photographer as I showed how much I enjoyed cuddling and being in a lap. A very sweet and lovable friend, I’m looking forward to showering my family with love! I am a bit possessive of my food, toys and anything in my mouth and there was 1 bite related to this, so I’ve been working on it with my trainer, who has implemented controlled locations for my meals, as well as accompanying commands – so please just ask about this. My trainer also taught me the command ‘drop it’ to trade my toys and bones for a high value treat.  / Energy level: 6-8, so I’ll want to be active with my new family. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so, I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. My trainer is working with me on my possessive behaviors as there was 1 bite related to this.  I’ve since learned to trade a toy for a treat and my trainer would be happy to talk to and work with you on this.  Mostly Mutts recommends a trainer to continue my training after adoption. / I am described as pretty relaxed in my crate and I did well in my two temp. homes, too. / I did really well with my potty manners in my foster home with no accidents as well as two temp. homes I was in for a few days.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love going for walks, playing with toys, chasing tennis balls, cuddling and being in laps as well as getting my head and ears scratched and my tummy rubbed.  I also like pawing at my people’s feet lol. / I can be a little shy when first meeting new people, so I do best when given time to approach at my own pace — if rushed, I may choose to run and hide.  See personality/skills section of my profile and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a great dog looking for a great family to love that will follow the rules that have been established to help me be successful! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  May 19, 2026, 1:03 pm

Story
Meet Bumper — A Brave Young Beagle Looking for a Special Home One-Year-Old Beagle | Neutered | Up-to-Date on Vaccines Bumper’s story is one of survival and slow transformation. After being lost and on his own for five long months, this 1-year-old beagle is finally safe and beginning to learn how to be a dog again. He's shy, cautious, and still unsure about human touch, but he’s showing us he wants to try. Bumper is currently in foster care, observing and learning from the other dogs in the home. They’re helping him gain confidence and showing him that it’s okay to relax and trust. He’s taking baby steps, and every day is a victory. Because of his past, Bumper is a high flight risk and will need extra care when it comes to containment and leashing. He does not like to be touched or picked up, and he needs an adopter who understands that trust is earned slowly and gently. We are looking for an experienced beagle owner to become Bumper’s forever family. His ideal home will be: Beagle-savvy and knowledgeable about their sensitive nature and strong noses Patient, calm, and consistent, with no pressure to rush his progress Dedicated to ongoing training and socialization at Bumper’s pace Securely fenced yard and/or escape-proof containment Home with at least one confident, friendly dog to guide and comfort him Bumper isn’t ready to be your snuggle buddy yet, but he is ready to begin the journey with someone who truly understands him. If you're the person who sees potential in the shy ones and has the heart to help them blossom, Bumper is waiting to meet you. Could you be the one to help this brave boy find his way home?     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
