By the time they were rescued, they were heartbreakingly underweight and neglected.   With good nutrition, medical care, and kindness, Pheobie and Maxus have made a beautiful recovery. They’re now healthy, happy, and medically cleared, ready to enjoy their golden years in comfort and love.   Both are just under 40 pounds  - the perfect medium size for cuddles and companionship. They have gentle, affectionate personalities and a deep bond with one another.       Meet Colt Davis, a four-year-old, 80 pound Bloodhound with a heart as big as his famous floppy ears. He’s fully housebroken, respectful in the home, and dedicated to sniffing absolutely everything—because, well, he’s a Bloodhound and his nose is basically his full-time job. Colt has a classic hound temperament: sweet, gentle, a little stubborn, and very smart. Outside, he follows scents with laser focus and has the deep, melodic hound bellows that come with the breed. Because of that voice, he isn’t suited for apartment or townhouse living. He’s currently settling in and decompressing, and he’s shown no signs of reactivity to other dogs. As he relaxes further, his personality will shine even more. Colt is affectionate, loves being doted on, and handled grooming beautifully—yes, even those big ears. He would thrive in a loving family home. A secure, tall, or privacy fence is a must. His nose will lead him on adventures if not well contained.
