Story
True to his name, Happy is a little ray of sunshine from Mama Amity’s Emotions Litter. This sweet boy has an upbeat spirit, a constantly wiggling tail, and a joyful energy that follows him everywhere he goes. He’s always ready for playtime, cuddles, and whatever adventure the day brings. Happy adores making new friends—both people and pups—and his cheerful personality is downright contagious. Whether he’s chasing toys or curling up for a cozy nap, he has a way of brightening every moment you spend together. He’s a smart cookie, too! Happy sits politely for treats and mealtime and is working on recall and housetraining. He’s good-natured, curious, playful, and quick to learn. At night, he snoozes peacefully in his crate. Happy truly lives up to his name. He loves everyone he meets, gets super excited over new toys, and has a blast playing with other dogs. While he’s generally laid-back, he bursts with joy when his people come home and is always ready for snuggles. He can entertain himself during the day but absolutely lights up when his friends appear. For his age and size, he’s impressively well-behaved on a leash—he likes to stay close, explore, and politely greet friendly people and dogs. In every way, he’s just… very Happy. Happy is fostered in Wilmington (New Castle County), Pennsylvania and is ready to join a furever family ♥ www.mostlymuttz.org  Link to Happy’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2453896&name=Happy #mostlymuttzrescue #Adoptable #happy #adoptme #adoptdontshop #yournewbff ##2453896##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   *This is a courtesy posting. Harlan is not at DPR, but his current owner asked us to help find him a great home!* Meet Harlan – A Sweet, Spirited Hound Looking for His Perfect Home Harlan is a 3-year-old hound mix with a heart as big as his nose! His Wisdom Panel DNA results reveal a rich hound heritage—53% American Foxhound, 26% Plott Hound, 19% Treeing Walker Coonhound, and a touch of Bluetick Coonhound—so it’s no surprise that he has a strong prey drive and a passion for following scents wherever they lead. Originally rescued after being abandoned on the side of the road, Harlan has blossomed into a loving, energetic companion. He adores being outdoors and lives for long walks, sniffing adventures, and any opportunity to use his hound instincts. He’s happiest when he has a job to do or space to roam, making him a great fit for an active household with land, a secure yard, or even a family who enjoys hunting or has experience with working breeds. Harlan is:  Up to date on all vaccinations  Neutered  Paperwork in hand  House-trained and eager to please  Best suited for someone experienced with strong, active dogs While Harlan is deeply affectionate and eager for companionship, he’s not the best fit for homes without secure fencing or those with limited mobility. His enthusiasm for tracking means he can be a strong puller on walks—even with training tools—and needs someone who can manage his strength and give him the stimulation he craves. We love Harlan dearly, but due to serious health challenges in our family and the lack of a secure yard, we know we’re no longer the right home for him. Our greatest hope is to find someone who sees his potential and can give him the life he deserves: safe, stimulating, and full of love.  If you have room in your home—and heart—for a smart, loving hound ready for his next adventure, please reach out. We’re happy to share more about his personality and history. Helping Harlan find his forever home would mean the world to us.  If you are interested in adopting, pleas fill out a 'Dog Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 24, 2025, 11:01 am
